cj Yes I enjoyed my week in Brum and I've been back a couple of times since. The first time I went for a week was August 2020. With the pandemic it was hard to find a holiday in the uk. So we thought outside the box. I found I could stay at the Premier Inn for £40 a night, that combined with the 50% off eat out to help out deal ment I could live like a king for peanuts. There's plenty to do in Birmingham if you know where to go, here's a few places we went. Sealife centre, the Back to Back houses, Birmingham library (it's the largest library inn Europe), more canals than Venice if you fancy a wall, great views from Pierre Whites restaurant at the top of the Cube hotel. The list goes on. I know it might not be what you would expect for a holiday destination but there's plenty to do for a week away.

A shish kabab starter, balti and nann bread cost just a few quid. Then they started serving all of the other dishes in the karahi and calling them balties. I don't know if you can still get the original balti anywhere now.

Imagine wanting to go back to the absolute sh1hole that is the U.K when you're in a beautiful nature filled country with a good government, way less crime and just a way happier place to live.
I'd love to be in your position right now instead of living in a place where people get stabbed for fun.

@@amilying2883 . It’s amazing how perceptions of different countries can be so far off what reality is . Aussies have completely the wrong perceptions of the UK and in the UK the general consensus of Australia is also so far off the mark too . No fault of the general public , it’s just that folk believe everything they read and see on TV .

I also like a lamb tikka makhani which is nowhere near as spicy as a madras but it's lovely! Also I like a Patia sometimes! I love spicy curries! Been eating curries for years!
