Imagine that old grandad on the bullock cart, lets assume he is in his 80s it means he was born in 1855 ......! His farther may be telling him about our last king of srilanka and all the stories are that we reading in books , its pretty much touchy ... i can create a kind of ordinary man at that kings era....... omg

Such a mind blowing clip. Indeed, I'm delighted to see it as we haven't a big idea about how Sri Lanka was in past. There is something to be worried, that our country had gained a considerable development during the British period but the whole country runs even now on that foundation. As a nation we should be worried about the pathetic situation of this precious pearl.
There was abject poverty during british rule, but for independence sri lanka would still be a shi case for the rich...the current levels of social and economic equality would never have been allowed.
Read " the decline ad fall of the english nobility " by David Cannadine to see the real story of colonial curruoption, greed which was not criminal only cos of the imperial allowence!!!
The faces shows their innocent and their body shows how hard they work. Those people weren't greedy.. Srilanka was peaceful in old times... Mother Lanka was beautiful ❤

We? Are you referring to British as we? None of those structures , designs and buildings were architectured by Sinhalese or Tamils or Muslims; but by British ceylonese! If this remained as is, as same as South Africa today where whites run the businesses along with blacks. Have u ever heard AB de villiers saying that he is British and KG Rabada saying that African? No, they both call themselves South Africans. Unfortunately same fashion was dismantled by Mugabe in Zimbabwe where also whites and Africans kept saying as Zimbabweans till Mugabe came up with racism. Now almost all whites in Zimbabwe have migrated to Britain, South Africa, Aus , NZ and Canada. Sri Lanka could have been easily a South Africa where a Sinhalese ruler runs with whites. This crap ‘Independence’ was a door door to a dire situation.

It's not that quality but they can make it high resolution using today's technology i.e. photoshop/premiere pro
Old cameras were quite excellent, some of the lens coatings give the effect .but it's mostly camera operators skill at exposing and focusing
100% 1935. You should see some 1920s films which have even better resolution.
