Matagal nang gusto namin ng mr. ko na mag-apply for dual citizenship. Pero dhl nagsisimula na noon ang pandemic ay naging mahirap mag-apply sa Bureau of Immigration sa Intramuros bukod pa sa hnd pwede ang walk-ins. kung kayat nagdecide na kami na wag nang ituloy ang pag-apply. Pero dhl may nakapagsabi sa amin na pwede na ngaun ang walk-ins ay nagbabalak na kaming ituloy ang pag-apply for dual citizenship. Maaring itong darating na month of june ay mag-apply na kaming 2 ng mr. ko.

Pilipino ang aking magulang May hawak akong philippines passport 2030 ang expiration. Naging citizen na ako ng canada 2024 masasabi na ako ay dual citizen. Meron ba dapat gawin para maging dual. Maraming salamat po.

Ma’am in 1996, my wife & myself became naturalized US citizens. By virtue of these I was able to apply and received US passports for all 4 of our minor children. Now that they are all of age, are they required to apply for dual citizenship themselves if they choose to? All six of us were born in the Philippines.

Depending on the state in making an appointment for dual citizenship appointment, here in Texas it’s only by mail in application once approved then you bring your original copies personally in the Philippine consulate like Houston TX.

Hello, I was naturalized back in 2020 with my 15 yr old daughter she was naturalized too since she was a minor. Now I'm getting ready our documents for us to file our dual citizenship now she's 18 she can file separately, my main concern is they need an affidavit of citizenship since she doesn't have her own copy of certificate it was just mine, I just don't know where to find it. My question is both of them wanted to be dual citizens but has no certificate of naturalization. How can they apply for dual and if the certificate of explanation is to be notarized, will the notarization be done in the consulate or outside. Thank you!

What if you were born of both Filipino mother and father in the Philippines; but left the Philippines at 6 years old. Then, I became a naturalized US citizen at 24 years old. Yes, you may need your 1st marriage to be annulled in PH or recognition of divorce (via PH courts). (I've heard of a similar case.). I suggest that you inquire at the PH embassy in London re: your case.

Hindi po kayo automatic dual citizen. Nung maging US citizen ka, nag renounce/ give up ka na ng PH citizenship mo. If you want to be a dual citizen, you have to apply for dual citizenship. If abroad, via the PH embassy or consulate. If in PH, via the Bureau of Immigration. As a former Filipino, you can stay for year on PH (from your date of entry to PH - it should be in your passport).
You are now a US citizen only not dual po. You are no longer considered as Filipino citizen. Hope this helps.

If you are/were a Filipino citizen at the time of your children's birth, then they were born as dual citizens. You'll need to register their birth at the PH embassy/ consulate which serves the state where they were born. Maganda na dual citizen sila pag pasok ng Pinas para di kailangan ng visa & can live there forever.

Kung ipinanganak sa Philippines, yung father dapat mag report ng consular of birth sa US Embassy and get US passport. Also, pweded kang kumuha ng PSA birth certificate kung recorded ang birth and then just get PH passport. No need to apply for dual.
