- In today's video, we talk about how to set up one of my favourite cameras! The Fujifilm X100V is a powerful tool for street photography, and when you tweak and change some of the settings, it becomes even better. We'll discuss also how the settings reflect your shooting style, and we go over my shooting style as well.

I really appreciate your opening statements about whether the video you are presenting is for a viewer or not. It is nice to see a photographer not afraid to tell someone that what they are about to watch, may not jive with their philosophy. I think you are well spoken, knowledgeable and am looking forward to seeing more of your videos. By the way, I have been an X100 user for year and recently upgraded to the X100V, and find that the new lens is a quantum improvement over that on the previous models. That, combined with the new ISO dial function, and tilting rear LCD made it a very compelling reason for me to upgrade. Keep up making great videos.

Hi Jorge, I just discovered you channel, I think it's great. I'm going to set my just ordered x100v camera up for street photography similar to yours. I have a question regarding the focus setup. You select manual focus then back button focus. Surely manual focus disables all autofocus settings. I should read the manual. Regards
Sounds great! I'm glad that the x100v will be your main camera for street photography, you're in for a treat!
And that is correct, select manual focus on your camera, and then set up the AFL button to focus when pressing, effectively making it a back-button focus. When you set it up to manual, it enables to snap focus and shoot quickly, otherwise the camera sort of prevents the photo from being taken, until it thinks the photo is in focus.
But with back button focus, It depends on you, (your speed, and framing/moving the focus point around) to effectively use the camera that way.

soo if i set a custom film sim, i cant switch between the original and edited one?
Correct, what you could do is set 2 profiles of the same simulation, for example:
-One with a Default Classic Chrome.
-One with a Modified Classic Chrome.
And switch between these two profiles, you have a limited number of custom profiles, but that should work. Thanks!
Not sure I understand this : Your saying once you set a Custom Film you have to use Customs setting and cannot use the Fuji Chrome sim ?
