    I think the point about this one not having the vent cut out in the middle of it like the stock one is spot on. I have found it’s best to just keep the stock one in the lowest setting. At least the air hitting my helmet is clean as opposed to being turbulent when it’s on a higher setting. I am 6’1 for reference.

      I will most likely choose this option as well.

      I agree, also. I don't make a thing out of it, and keep my stock screen low, for most situations.

    I appreciate your honesty (which as we know is the best policy). I had a BMW F900XR to which I used an MRA Vario which worked well. I’m not planning to replace the stock windshield when I get my Tiger 660. Thanks. 🇬🇧

    As a former 650 V-Strom owner I have a lot of time trying to figure out wind screens. I have found that the only thing that will work (remove turbulence) is either have a screen so large that you are looking through it (like a full-on touring bike) or you have to have a screen that you can “just” see over the top. The web site for MadStad has instructions for measuring the correct height of a windshield. Of course, if you just want to take the wind off your chest and don’t mind your helmet being in clean air, that’s doable too.

    I purchased the taller one from power bronze and it works quite well. On the lower setting it provides very little turbulence compared to the original one. On the higher setting it feels a lot better than the original. The only negative thing I've noticed that if you put the screen on medium or lower settings, the screen will drop down on its own. On the higher setting it does not. I'm 6'1" and this works for me. For around town, the lower setting works great and for the highway 70mph+ the highest setting works great.

    More great information - thank you. I really hope you are able to test the 690mm version.

      That's the plan! I should have one on the way.

    I appreciate your efforts to find a screen that is an improvement on stock, doesn’t seem like you have got there yet.
    I will continue to follow you to see if you find something.
    Regarding the stock screen, is screen on lowest setting best for low and high speeds?
    With stock screen is it low setting for low speed and high setting for speed?
    It is disappointing that manufacturers do not do enough wind tunnel testing to find an optimal screen.
    Also it is so odd that you often have stock seat and option of comfort seat. Why oh why can’t stock seat be comfortable !!!!

      I usually leave the stock screen in the full upward position for my personal preference. If I experience any buffeting at higher speeds I will adjust the screen lower until it resolves. Hope that helps.

    Try the stock windscreen with the clip on and windscreen down ……..definitely better !! Problem is if you do speed with the screen up the weight of the clip on makes the screen drop !!

    Dang it. I just bought the TS660 and noticed the same. At 6'1", I've been leaving the screen in the lowest position and eating the wind, too much buffeting at highway speeds with it up high. Hope you find a solution for us, because I love this bike.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před rokem

      Yeah, the stock screen brackets are very flimsy as well so they have trouble holding up the extra weight of larger aftermarket screens.

      Bought a cheap clip on windscreen extender on Amazon, popped it on yesterday and it's helping tremendously. Looks terrible, but it works pretty well.

    Why don't you check if there is a Givi Airflow Windshield for this model yet? that is the ultimate windshield that will put an end to all of this trial and error.

    I use a stock windshield with an additional visor, it seems to me that the problem is in the windshield shake, due to the flimsy fastening of the entire front.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před rokem

      Yes! The windshield bracket is very weak and barely supports the aftermarket screens I've tried so far.

      I bought a bronzeshield tall screen and ened up cutting it down to 17.5 " which is 4" less than stock - its much better

    Do you miss your nc750x at all?

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před rokem

      Yes, there are some things that I miss. The Honda runs much cooler and the front storage was incredibly useful for me. It wasn't as playful as the Tiger Sport 660 but it is solid and reliable.

    Man it really seems like no one can get the windscreen right on this bike (including triumph) I feel like I get pretty bad wind buffeting on the stock screen. I was really hoping this would be better.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před rokem

      The common issue that I have been finding is that the Triumph screen mechanism was designed for the weight of the stock windshield without any extra support capacity for anything larger/heavier. Any sort of locking feature would have solved this problem. Maybe some enterprising individual can create something to help.
