In Invincible, as Mark is doing his daily patrol of the city, he notices someone walking along the side of a building wearing what looks like gravity shoes
The villain is about to attack before realizing who it is and immediately surrenders, saying he could handle someone like Rex Splode but definitely not Invincible
Chris says he robbed a bank to buy his fiance a wedding ring after spending too much to build his invention but Mark says a genius like him should’ve just sold it and decides to just take the money back and let him go, considering he didn’t hurt anyone
Later, Mark and Eve arrive at a bank robbery where a different person is using the same gravity shoes and gun and he proves to be much more dangerous than expected before Eve helps restrain him
Mark makes the new guy tell him where he got the tech from before confronting Chris at his home
Mark debates bringing him to jail but has another idea, flying Chris over to the Pentagon and introducing him to Cecil and Sinclair who give him a job that will compensate him well
Cecil realizes this guy has no education but is clearly a genius and is impressed with Mark’s maturity considering their previous disagreements on utilizing past villains such as Sinclair for the good of humanity

Also think of this. He can make all these zombie cyborgs, but can’t make a single true robot, so he keeps mutilating people for essentially no reason.

I mean, there is a pretty big difference between agreeing to let a guy who made some gravity boots and never directly hurt anyone- and only indirectly hurt people because he followed Mark’s advice without thinking- off the hook and letting someone who kidnapped a dozen or more people, tortured them, mutilated them, lobotomized them, and turned them into murder bots off the hook.

This is what I love about the Invincible comics.
After i went bacl to red them, I just really enjoy Mark's steady growth as a rational and forward thinking leader.

Sinclair was an exception. This guy fits more of the mold of someone with great ambition but in such a need where being a hero never was an option. Its not hard to find ways to get these type of people to be beneficial, its not that black and white. Heck even the Mauler twins can do alot of good, they just need the means to meet their goals. You dont need to rob banks or military compounds if you have all the equipment you would need.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE UNIVERSE! I hate Sinclair but when I saw that they flipped him into working for the good guys and the minions were giving Omni-Man a hard time in Season 1… That was so bad ass and I was hoping they were gonna keep doing similar stuff like that!
