This report really hit me hard. I couldn't stop crying. I give thanks and praise to the photographer for vowing never to show the pictures of Ayrton Senna after his helmut was taken off.
I never knew that he was carrying an Austrian flag in the car that day. Ayrton Senna truly was an incredibly special human being. There have not been many others like him, certainly no racing drivers like him before or since.
That's a false report. He told his photographer friend, Angelo Orsi, to wait for him by the race track with the Austrian flag and to taxi on the car for a lap of honour and photographs while moving, at the end of the race. Ayrton never had a flag in his car.
The irritating thing is that he went to the corner the day before he died and said that its too dangerous..but they told him that nothing could be done about it
Erik Comas intentionally entered the red flagged race, to be there for Ayrton. he has said Ayrton saved his life and that he was too late to save Ayrton's life. Erik Comas was so distressed after this accident he retired from this race upon returning to his pit. Bless You Ayrton Senna! Godspeed!!!
The impact of the tyre was so powerful, even if the wishbone hadn't pierced Senna's head, he would never have been able to race again. Even after 25 years, I still can't understand that Ayrton is dead.
It hapens the same to me. I ca not believe it, 28 years by now. But as we can feel and see he will never die in F1 His name is bounded forever to F1 word.
wasnt just the wheel that hit him... the suspension when through his helmet, might of already been said, in previous comments the same helmet in this video was in an F1 exhibition in a museum near to my home, still with blood stains and damage on the helmet. was sad to see.
its always the legends who have the most compassion for racing and driver safety that somehow end up going its just not right that someone should go out like that
Unfortunately you are right. If it was not Senna I doubt there would have been so drastic and abrupt changes in GP safety. It's a pity what kind of a soul he was,was not understood. He hate politics.Politics took the joy of racing - this is a thing Ayrton was afraid of.Looking and listening to Ayrton at Imola saying hello to my..our dear friend Alain makes me cry.It is amazing how people,18 years later, still comment his life and death which means his deed is remembered. He has the God right to win!
sometimes i think i will never get over his death, even now after 16 years i still think about him alot.....he didnt deserve to die in that way....i hate williams for the way they did that steering column....i still feel his pain
It really sucks to see how many people didn't know who he was. No one I work with has ever heard of him. They just think that nascar is the true motorsport. Sad.
Looks like Senna sustained two fatal injuries: basilar skull fracture from the sudden deceleration of the car and the broken suspension piercing his helmet.
Formula 1 has lost its meaning when Senna died...He was a true legend, such a wonderful and caring man, full of spirit...I remember when someone said in an interview after the accident : '' I am not religious, but after he crashed,in one moment he sighed and then his body relaxed,i felt his spirit went away..'' He was a genius ,and many people didn't want to admit that..They were jealous of his talent...His talent is so huge that no one will ever be able to beat it.. Senna we love you, legend !
@Mirren81 Eric Comas was the one that arrived his crash scene. It wasnt probably no mistake got back on the track and Eric wasnt for sure trying to rejoin the competition. He just found out about Ayrton's crash and sped up to the place bcoz 2 years earlier, Ayrton has stopped his car and helped Eric after a crash he had. Ayrton saved Eric's life who was unconscious and had his right foot on the throttle, his car risking to blow off. Eric said he hated that he couldnt do same for Ayrton.
@videoq2008 Your English is very good. Don't worry about those negatives comments. The most people are not capable to do such nice video. Keep up your good job !!
I watched this race and accident live as it happened. I am a huge Senna fan...no one drove like he did. The doctor revived Senna at the track so the race wouldn't be stopped. Italian law dictates that any death at a sporting event must be stopped and the investigation must begin immediately. Sid Watkins knew this and in order to restart the race he revived a clearly dead Senna so this could happen. We lost a fantastic racer and hero of F1.
Another ironic thing is that when Roland Ratzenberger crashed/died at approximately the same corner the day before Senna's crash, Ayrton hopped in a car and drove over to the scene. Never expecting that he would meet almost the same exact fate the following day. RIP Ayrton Senna, u are a Legend!
the blood on the ground was not senna's blood but a pack of blood for transfusion, crashed accidentally by the hands of a pharamedics. this was said by ome of the medical.operator that time anyway so much coincidence
Gian...that's simply not true. It was Senna's blood. Sid Watkins himself has said Senna was losing a lot of blood. I don't know where you get your lies from
@@crazyproje Well other sources say something different, including Sid Watkins himself. Sid stated Senna was bleeding profusely, from his head injuries and from the emergency tracheostomy he had to perform to restore Senna's breathing. i am amazed at this man , he was truly a special person . i just wonder if anyone knows , how did he know eric comas life was in danger when he ran to his wreck to stabilize his head ? did he himself have medical training, not that it matters but it does so what an awesome person he was , to jump out of his car and brave all those cars flying past and risking his life for another , much respect for Aryton Senna.
Hello from lockdown! If ya watch a few videos youl hear Comas' engine revving on the limiter you can hear it as senna passes him, this could cause the engine to blow and as the Marshall's are way off to the side over the gravel trap, senna runs to push the engine stop button and hold Comas' head straight. As far as I know anyway I seen it in a few vids.
eric comas comes on the track because he wanted to try to save senna, since senna saved his life when he crashed, senna stoped his car and run and turned of eric engine, stoping it from exploding..
that was really good i really enjoyed it, just a shame it was recorded off a tv because it was a bit hard to read sometimes, keep up the good work though buddy :)
@@Vorgaloth I don't believe they killed him on *purpose,* as could be inferred by the way @Assassin 4056 worded that. But, I am almost certain that they are likely *responsible* for the crash. The evidence, is in the onboard footage of the wreck. In the video, it is very clear that he could not steer the wheels at all, because you do not see them move at all. They keep a straight line, straight into the wall. An experienced F1 driver like him would have immediately tried to correct, and he *did* try, but as could be deduced from the video evidence and his tires not turning at all, his steering column had busted, causing his tires to not respond when he turned the wheel. When he realized his steering was out, there was nothing else he could do but brake full force. At that point, he was just a passenger, and it was far too late. The night previous, the William's race team had cut and rewelded the steering column. It is believed by many that a bad weld led to the steering column failure, and being the contributor to the crash, and that the William's race team had covered it up to avoid possible manslaughter charges, which they did eventually end up in court for. Not 'cold tires' being the official reason given by the FIA. If it were cold tires, why did he not lose grip and crash on lap 6 rather than lap 7, when his tires were even colder? His skidplate sparks off the ground much more on lap 6 due to colder tires, than his crash on lap 7, because his tires had warmed up more during 7. The cold tires explanation was just a cop out so track officials in charge of inspection and the race team itself could not be held accountable, and the FIA could keep their beloved Formula 1 racing on schedule. Also, given the fact that Senna was killed on Sunday, and Rubens Barrichello was hospitalized from a pretty bad wreck on Friday where his car literally jumped off the track and into a barrier at 140 mph, and then Roland Ratzenberger was killed Saturday the day before Senna, nearly the exact same way, from almost the exact same injuries, the race should have been called off. They especially shouldn't have held the podium at the end of the race like they did. Kind of shows what the FIA thought about the humanity in all of this versus the business side, and the need to keep the wheels rolling..
that was a good video, a little incorrect in some areas but never the less a good video. the true cause of his accident has never been proven, but the agreed cause was that the car simply got loose on the bumps. before the race senna told hill to stay off the inside of tamburello because hill has a lower ride height. also williams were recording a data feed from sennas car and proved there was still turning force in the wheel before he hit the wall. but still, great job!
@Thejodieclark Problem is Senna instructed Williams to cut through the steering column and re-weld it in 2 different places because he was unhappy with the position of the steering wheel in the car. The weld was cleared and ok'd by Senna. Just before Senna looses control you can see his head look down into the cockpit as if something failed (cockpit camera). I don't agree with what they did but because Senna ok'd the work carried out on the steering column they are all to blame.
When did Senna okay the work done and the way it was done ??? Sure he requested the modification that is true but I have never ever heard that he okayed the way it was done
the eric comas thing is weird, incredible that he should be on Senna's death scene just as Senna was at, almost his death scene its very sad and tragic that Senna met such a violent and painful end, not the way true champions should go out.
@rahulpower "cheap tactics?" Is that why he is renowned to be one of the best, if not, the best driver of all time. He stated that Prost purposely took him out of the race, I do believe the year before, and he took him out the next. He basically got even with him.
Awful, terrible (not the video, but the crash, of course) Way worse than I thought at first. A real nightmare turned into truth, with Ayrton´s skull almost split into two like a broken coconut... I only guessed he suffered from inner lethal injuries in his brain, not visible from outside. Poor, poor Senna. Honestly, when I remember what happened to Massa with just one "little" piece of suspension, I just can´t imagine what may happen to any pilot who may suffer a Senna-like crash again...
@Alpire98 In some respects yes, but the Team Williams or Sir Frank Were not done. Patrick Head was Prosecuted and Found guilty in Italian court for manslaughter and so was Adrian Newey but neither of them arrested. But Williams were not prosecuted as a team.
The Greatest ever! Ayrton made me a fan of F1. Still to this day, I have interest in the sport because of the heartbreak that I felt when Senna was taken away.
the whole thing is flat sketchy and as his doctor said after senna saw the rookie guy die on the saturday that he shouldn't have raced the sunday... RIP seriously he is one of the few who truly deserves peace
@jayhawk66 the FW16 was designed to have flex in the steering column to make up for the forces from the horrible handling since the active suspension was taken away. the onboard wasnt doctored, it was because all that was recorded at that time was live feeds and at that point, they switch to schumacher, but it runs for a further 6 seconds while the trasition from cameras happens. the sharp change was senna correcting the back end slipping out.
@jichaelmackson1958 to this day i still wish he was conscious my friend. but im sorry to tell you he was not. and that head movement was caused by a deep deep major brain damage. due to the huge impact and posterior trauma and skull fracture. its diferent to get knocked out by a 200 mph impact and a tire blown flying hit your head. kinda impossible to resist such a hit to any human being.
Eric Comas didn`t go on the circuit after the red flag on mistake he went on to help his friend who saved him 2 years ago but the fact the he couldn`t help him saddened him many years.
How can ppl blame Willams still?? Is REALLY that he died but no1 could of planned for that 2 happen. It was a racing accident. Nothing more, nothing less
Idk if the tire actually did it. So I don’t see a head and neck restraint! I did find video of his head whipping 1-2’ away from his body. The skull fractures are most likely caused by his head flying forward and the brain gets yanked into the base of the skull by the spinal cord. The brain it’s self fractures the skull by bashing it out. Usually the brain and spinal cord recoil and fracture the front right from the spinal cord snapping Iike a sling shot. I had a 1999 skull fracture from a 175g crash and barely survived. I had 175g but the helmet sensors I had measured 132g then 2 milliseconds later I took a secondary hit of 128g that’s my helmet sensors. The car meters both registered 175g & 174.3 and no commonality meaning wiring for them were three different bundles and separate computers.
@SammyInABox 1 No it wasn't. Read Sid Watkins' own words. He said Senna was losing a lot of blood. The transfusion was a success and wasn't dropped Stop lying
@jichaelmackson1958 i doubt that... he was not counscious. more likely it moved because of the serious trauma he suffered. maybe a body reaction. espasms or something.
Most likely not, the tire weighs far too much compared to a hand, plus the suspension piece and whatever else penetrated the helmet probably just would’ve went through the hands as well.
@@chesterhiggens I've heard that a spering from a suspension flew thru his head Not the wheel Alas it was pretty shitty luck and also retarded track design Who the hell brings concrete to a 300+ kmph turn
@geraldo209 The fact that he moved his head proves he was indeed concious, when you get knocked in the head you dont just close your eyes and drop instantly, you get drowsy and "drift" off.
I've seen people involuntarily taking gulps of air and witnesses mistakenly thinking the casualty is alive, this for instance is known as agonal breathing, which is caused by electrical misfiring of the diaphragm senses that would ordinarily control normal breathing. Extremely common with head trauma and happens after the casualty has expired.
@@Bootsk1n Yes. But, I was wrong, it is not Senna, but Barichello with blood on his mouth going to Hospital. I tried hard but I never found Senna's head photo after crash. It is really dificult to find this.

Excuse me? 😮😮😮 How? Can you explain??
5:08 IS THIS BLOOD????????????
gtrosado yes 😔
It's of Senna head
@SammyInABox 1
No it wasn't.
Read Sid Watkins' own words. He said Senna was losing a lot of blood.
The transfusion was a success and wasn't dropped
Stop lying
IT IS
🇧🇷😢💚🇮🇹😢❤️
Atleast Ayrton died instantly because he doesn’t deserve a long and painful death
@jichaelmackson1958 i doubt that... he was not counscious. more likely it moved because of the serious trauma he suffered. maybe a body reaction. espasms or something.
Write down in google "angelo orsi senna" search in pictures, 3th page right above, Senna "last" picture in hospital.. Rip
H Halleen can’t find it please help
Would his hands around his head have stopped his death?
Most likely not, the tire weighs far too much compared to a hand, plus the suspension piece and whatever else penetrated the helmet probably just would’ve went through the hands as well.
@@chesterhiggens I've heard that a spering from a suspension flew thru his head
Not the wheel
Alas it was pretty shitty luck and also retarded track design
Who the hell brings concrete to a 300+ kmph turn
:(
Why didn't he brake ?
I am so surprized that they allowed him to race in that car with that type of modification.
Even gods can bleed...
@geraldo209 The fact that he moved his head proves he was indeed concious, when you get knocked in the head you dont just close your eyes and drop instantly, you get drowsy and "drift" off.
That was a spasm caused by misfiring in the brain and spine, a sign of massive and fatal brain injuries
Death was instantaneous. Spasms like that come after a fatal brain injury. It's how chickens can still run around without a head.
@@janetcarr4487 Oh yeah i was so fucking wrong its not funny
@@jichaelmackson1958 Don't sweat it, we've all been wrong about something!
God don't kill peoples
THere was a photo of his head without the helmet while being lifted to the Hospital...
@pedro7g5 where?
@@abyss18 it's a picture of ratzenberger, commonly mistaken for senna. There are no photos
@@Bootsk1n I have that photo and it is not Ratzemberger. Is very rare.
@@maurosexy do you have a link?
@@Bootsk1n Yes. But, I was wrong, it is not Senna, but Barichello with blood on his mouth going to Hospital.
I tried hard but I never found Senna's head photo after crash. It is really dificult to find this.
The story of the 🇦🇹 is *false* because he asked his friend photographer, to wait with one at the end of the race, for a lap of honour together. Also, *very inappropriate* to mention his face and brain loss!
why did sennas head move?
Spasm
Ayrton was face....after the accident, about has one photo
Where?
@tzontzon1996 i've been crying sennas death until now :'(
SHHHHHITTT CARR.....WHY??????????????
