Mordin is probably my favorite new character from ME2. He's always interesting and hilarious to hear.

He's the only Salarian squadmate, and one of only two Salarians Shepard ever took missions together with (Kirrahe being the other).
The Salarians honestly didn't get much screen time as allies.

I like how Mordin seems less calm when talking about the genophage at around the 8 minute mark, like he was trying to convince himself it had to be done

    "Don't live much past 40"
And then Liara thought humans were "high strung" for their short lifespans...can't imagine her reaction to a Salarian with HALF that.

VERY Less Than That. Humans Live More Than 140-150 Years

Vorcha are even worse, there lifespan is 20 years at best.

This is a kind of interesting argument against Synthesis.

Mordin (next to Legion) is the most interesting squadmate in the Mass Effect series.
Incredibly intelligent, with an unparalleled passion for life, art, philosophy and spitiruality/faith.
12:03 and onward is where Mordin's dialogue reaches GOLD STATUS

Lucas Barbosa I’m not sure about spirituality/faith since Thane is praying nearly constantly

This is my most favorite game of all time. It has everything I love: aliens, futuristic pace travel with GRAVITY ON THE SHIPS WTF, galactic communities with species intermingling, both humans and other races being the good guys, realistic representations of social and political issues that could arise with a concept like this game existing, different endings based on how you act, and an extensive, worldbuilding journal in the menu that describes the different types of species, weaponry, planets, governments, etc. It's so fleshed out and real. So much so, that it has made me realize my love for science and so has been a source of inspiration in me becoming a scientist. Mordin specifically, a really smart guy that can do rad experiments and rattle off facts, has also contributed to this. At first, it was just "astronaut" for me, but I quickly realized that being an astronaut is a tool used to do your real job, so I chose Astrobiology as my major. It feels like yesterday that I was in high-school wondering when I'd actually start making progress towards my career, but now I'm working on my Bachelor's degree in biology with my future including NASA and going to space (hopefully lmao). While I still sometimes wonder if I'll ever be good enough for this job, I muscle through anyway and remind myself of this game - how if I try hard enough, I can make discoveries that will eventually, maybe, hopefully, lead to a beautiful reality like Mass Effect (without the Reapers, of course).

I always liked Mordin. It legit made me sad when I had to leave him to die. Renegade mode didn't make it better.

Judging by his face, I think Mordin's singing broke Shepard for a moment or two.

Interestingly enough, it's possible that Mordins fast, kinda disjointed speech is because he's actually speaking English. Most races simply have translator's, just speak in their native tongue and let the machines convert it into something comprehensible, but Mordin may have actually put in the extra effort to truly learn human speech, his weird way of talking being because he hasn't gotten it quite right yet

Possible. Dude is smart enough and nothing implies any of the languages used in the game are impossible for other species to learn/speak.

Just wow.... I like mordin a lot from when i met him... and I still can't believe Bioware changed Mordin's voice actor in Mass Effect 3 but I still cannot differ their speeches great job

When I first heard Mordin, I thought all Salarians spoke like that. (I've never played Mass Effect, I've only watched clips.)

Awesome character. This trilogy was amazingly written. I just played it in 2021 for the first time. They don’t make games like they use too. This is art not just a game.

Mordin's a not-so-secret Reaper agent. Look at his forehead.
