- The Celestials have destroyed planets and created life, so who could possibly be stronger than these cosmic-powered beings? The Celestials wield the Power Cosmic and their abilities are almost limitless. Even though they're some of the most incredibly powerful entities ever to exist, they're not the most powerful. Yes, when it comes to power, there are those even the mighty Celestials have to bow to. There are always bigger fish in the sea and these are the 10 characters who have defeated the Celestials in comic books.

If only Thanos could have a personnal movie about himself like Venom did. To show things in the comics that the movies didn't show, like his battles againts Odin, Silver Surfer and Galactus.

For real. Thanos has done so many things and fought/interacted with so many more characters than just the avengers. Its a shame we'll probably never see him fight silver surfer or gladiator or interact with eros or the cosmic entities.
Also Kang got one. I hope Galactus will also get one when the time is right for him to show up
There's so many, "If only." I'm not a fan of the MCU movies but I actually really enjoyed the last Thor. I'd love to see a genuine Rune King Thor, an accurate portrayal of Thanos and so many more. Of only they made movies for the genuine fans, which are ironically all old men, and desire rated R, accurate portrayals of our OP heroes and villains.

And Knull can actually control the Celestials using symbiotes. He used them when he invade Earth, although some of them were killed by Sentry and Eddie in symbiote form powered by Captain Universe. And Galactus is actually afraid of Knull.

The Dark celestials were mutated by the Hoard, which is an entity that is used to wipe out planets if the Celestials Judge it unfit. They can call it to a planet.

The hoard are the enemy of the celestials, not mere tools of them.
Exitar is the celestial that destroys planets.
Arishem judges and Exitar carries out the sentence.
(the hoard were designed to act that way originally I think, but that was before the creator of the hoard and celestials called Fulcrum was destroyed/sealed away.
I don't think that the current universe 'god' Eternity has anything to do with either of them.

Ego was only a "Celestial" in the MCU - in comic cannon he is (by definition only) an "Elder of the Universe".
They probably thought that it didn't matter for the movies. They tried to make him sound extremely powerful. So giving him the title of "Celestial" works. Its a separate world from the comics.
I just thought celestials were powerful beings. Even before I saw GOTG 2.
I don't think it's weird. It makes him scarier from a story telling side. Not that many people who watch the MCU movies care that much about the comics anyway. It only makes a difference what he is called when people start overanalyzing.
@@diakounknown1225 It was most likely for storytelling. Also "what is acceptable on screen". For example, Thanos was Lady Death's puppet (not Hela from Thor) they probably didn't think it mattered. Lol - they were probably correct. The cosmic assault on Thanos (like in the comics) would have taken a dozen movies to explain to pure MCU fans (opposed to us comic nerds). =)
I couldn't agree more but as we've seen the movie MCU very loosely follows the actual print MCU. It's kinda sad because the actual comics are written so much better than the movies.

What if all the planets devoured by Galatus were developing celestials, cause in the ethernals Arishem said he implanted celestial seeds across the universe. So Galatus might have had a plan to defeat and conquer the ethernals but he needed more power than he currently has hence him being a planet eater or should I say celestial slayer

I'd love to see Knull in the MCU at some point. He could be an awesome villain.
I have a feeling we will. Gorr is the villain of thor 4, his weapon is the all black AKA the necro sword, which belongs to knull. Arishem said in eternald that without the celestials, the univserse would be consumed by darkness and knull is the embodiment of the darkness so it could be a hint to him. Plus the movie introduced the ebony blade which is kind of like the opposite of the necro sword and is said to be one of knulls weaknesses. On top of all that venom is now part of the mcu and obviously has huge links to knull and he even references the symbiote hive in venom 2.
I feel like we'll get more symbiote storylines before we get knull though. He'll probably be a phase 5 or even 6 villain. Someone for the x men and fantastic four to join the fight against, like in the king in black storyline.

We saw celestials in detail in the movie Eternals. Also, let me remind you that knull killed a celestial before. So we can see it in a movie that will be released soon.

They only defeated a "CELESTIAL" not clestials, celestials are thousands or so we don't know the only being that defeated the celestials are the beyonders not just 100's but the beyonders killed them all making the celestial race extinct
Well in all honesty, the Beyonders were wiping out Universes like turning over pages in a book just for the Lolz. And 3 Beyonders literally started killing the Living Tribunal like it was nothing. Pretty OP guys who don't consider killing Celestials as even a feat.

@@oswaldenriquepairat3008 its simple people would always remember the movie versions than comics. how many of people today has the copies of comics?each decades passed the more people got no access to comics. the more modern our lives be the more we rely on what we could see and watch over and over means a digital copy. not all people who read the comics will stay alive to spread the comic story and its copies they had and eventually no one would really care about comics. we could argue that maybe theres 1 to 100 person who uploaded the real copies of comics here on youtube. but i doubt they all have the complete copies. nobody knows youtube might get taken down aswell.so nobody would even care thats why movies invalidates and removes comics from the picture. you could say movie versions are the final versions

He fought an m body of eternity. He didn't fight true form eternity which is the combination of all his m bodies but yeah. Dormamu nearly beating an m body is still impressive since celestials aren't even on the level of the m bodies of the abstract entities.

Where's our boi Rune King Thor? Hasn't he defeated a dozen +? We know his power eclipses that of virtually all of the celestials, but I feel as if he's defeated so many he's was worth mentioning. He defeated 7 elder Gods with 1 hit, and they're above celestial level power. He defeated death.. Good list regardless. A few of these I had no idea about.
We need a RKT vs Chaos War Hercules. They're arguably as strong as characters are capable of becoming before reaching Beyonder levels of power. Both are easily the top 10 out of all comic characters, of any universe.

Normally I'd be hesitant in saying that, but there's been times were a fed Galactus was tribunal power level, and RKT defeated a fed Galactus with one hand, one hit. I recently saw a video making the argument as well, but I can't find it to share, because it was a different comparison, and the creator passively explained how RKT surpasses the Tribunal. If you want to have fun go watch some Thor vs Kratos videos. I have a few comments with hundreds of neck beards telling me Kratos could defeat RKT, while having no idea what their talking about, and listing Kratos's world level power... Lol, it's a complete sht show.

Well there aren't very many who have killed one honestly, some make sense like Galactus and Thanos with the infinity gauntlet, doctor doom with the beyonders powers and the dark celestials.I don't think black bolt killing a celestial makes sense though.

Not in one God damn movie of insanity maybe meeting at the end to get their powers. Then they can start coming together overtime, and further down the road Franklin and Valeria is born. Then he pretty much represents humanity and anyone or anything that messes with us he destroys or helps them understand. After his future self has Galactis as is herald of course. 🤣

I just hope they give them omni level power instead of weak shit we see now. If anything Hollywood will want to ride this for another 10 years. Phase 4 is over 2023 and that's when F4 comes out so my guess Franklin Richard's will be born end of Phase 5 2027 🤣 Hollywood want to milk the shit outta this....

IMO herald-tier characters like black bolt did kill a celestial with PIS(plot-induced stupidity), which is why i don't consider it a legitimate kill.... so some characters in your list like blackbolt and the apocalypse twins aren't legitimate due to PIS....
thanos on the other hand feels kinda borderline PIS... yes he was able to stalemate galactus(well on that part in the comics, thanos was on the defensive and didn't have enough firepower to take down galactus).. IMO thanos does not have the firepower to take down a celestial, but with trinkets(like the infinity gauntlet and the hotu) he destroys the celestials).. same with doom, he needs to be in god mode just to destroy them..
on the other hand, where is galactus himself and franklin richards, who each defeated multiple celestials at the same time... these 2 should be at the top of the rankings...

I think Franklin Richards is a version of Supreme Being in MCU. He can basically create his own reality with a simple thought, he creates Universe with a thought and saves it in his pocket, that is God like power. The true Question is if there is any power bigger than God? Perhaps Eternity, Infinity, Beyond or The One Above All?
