- Olympians, Asgardians, The Ennead, oh my! The Marvel Cinematic Universe is riddled with powerful cosmic deities and gods, with more and more of them being introduced as we enter Phases 5 and 6. As Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will inevitably find themselves fighting for and defending the sanctity of the Multiverse as we know it, with threats like Kang the Conqueror and possibly worse on the horizon, it may take the intervention of literal gods to save The Avengers and Earth-616 as we know it. Cosmic gods do not have to be worshiped, and some of them have been prominent characters in the MCU this whole time. Some of them are never ever seen and exist in unreachable realms, while others are personable and relative, affecting street-level supers and civilians as well. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars are coming soon and analyzing the comic book story arcs of the same names, you will find that cosmic gods are ever-present in these stories. Therefore, it is our job at CBR to break these cosmic gods and their power levels down in a list format and divulge on who is the toughest. Whether heroic or evil. Whether we have seen these cosmic gods depicted as statues, totems or giant energy beings. Whether we have met them in humanoid form or have only seen them in the comics. That's not likely, but what IS likely is that we get references and teases towards the Phoenix Force due to mutants being a thing, The Marvels battling cosmic forces in space, and the fact Echo is the current Phoenix in the comics and has her own show coming out. Makes perfect sense actually!

My favorite cosmic entities and the most I which to see on the Multiverse Saga, are Eternity and Beyonder. Since Eternity's first big screen appearance on the movie of Thor: Love and Thunder, was just a wish-granting being who resides at the center of the universe which was a concept far from being the living embodiment of all reality. This is because the version of Eternity depicted in Love and Thunder is utilized very differently than his comic counterpart, but this is another perfect example of how the MCU often reinterprets familiar characters to better suit the plot and themes of given films. Perhaps on this new saga that the MCU is on, we could further explore more about Eternity, and establishing more of his lore from the comics.
By the other way, The Beyonder could be a great villain or antagonist for this saga, since the MCU needs a main villain with a more original characterization. Similar to Thanos with his quest to prevent overpopulation, the Beyonder's desire to understand human nature allows for interesting narrative possibilities and philosophical discussions. This could made be true, specially if the rumors of his appearance in Secret Wars becomes true. Since there is a rumor, that the Beyonder would probably be a variant of Kang the Conqueror. This could mean that if the Avengers defeat Kang at the end of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the next movie they will come up against a more powerful Kang variant and this one probably might had stealed the real Beyonder's abilities and powers essentially becoming a god, just as Doctor Doom did on the comics. But if that is not the case, and for the movie we have the real Beyonder, then we will see what the MCU those with a character like him, who seems to be the perfect villain to make it possible.
The Herald and Galactus are no doubt coming with Dr Doom. I hope by Secret Wars Galactus is already in play on other worlds. Galactus would be a good super villain for Dr Doom and good Kang to unite villains and hero’s that fight for their ability to just continue to exist.

Yes! His job is to keep them in check and not get out of hand or let them out number the resources of the universe. I hope that made sense lol. They reproduce, he feeds, they reproduce, he feeds, and on and on they go Infinitum. Hope that helps.
The Living Tribunal is my favorite cosmic character among the great powers in the MU considering that the Living Tribunal even made an appearance on the 1968 Pink Floyd Album Cover - A Saucerful Of Secrets.

No, Knull defeated the Celestials easily and also the Skyfathers.
He is the God of the Abyss and Created the symbiotes. He is 13.7 billion years old, as well as one of him in each universe in each multiverse.
Only the Abstract Entities are more powerful.
However in the most recent stories the Writers NEGATED the fact that he is so powerful.
I really hope Marvel ( the writers for the Abstract Entities ) doesn’t screw it up with the movies.

@@jasonpate7900 Kirby was definitely depicted as TOAA in comics as well. I have the issue where the fantastic four drift out of comic book universe and into the real one where they meet Kirby drawing comics. That being said, Stan Lee was TOAA in the MCU.

The fun part is: In the comics The Hulk is actuall a representative of The One Below All. In the MCU they handled his origin completely different, so i don't think he will appear - without him, The One Above all is also obsolete.

The one above all is quite literally all things, I think Thanos consumed him only to be told that you can't remove the one above all for he is the very concept of that removal, he is the thought of it's conception, he is the actions that led you to that point, he is Stan Lee
He is not only stan lee, from my understanding toaa represents all marvel writers, so stan lee is a big part of him. That is why one writer cannot really kill or defeat him.
Thanos cannot remove One Above All because without TOAA there won't be Thanos in the first place ...

The Phoenix is force is actually the most powerful entity in the MCU., The Phoenix force is the oldest entity, after the TOAA. The Phoenix was born in the void before darkness, it created the Multi-verse and exists in the omni-verse. Its described in the comics as the nexus of everything which includes psionic power, reality, creation and destruction. its immortal and indestructible its almost like its the manifestation of the powers of TOAA. Even the scarlet Witch couldn't destroy it when she wished it no more. and like the phoenix, the Beyonders also live outside the multi verse which is why the living Tribunal was killed, because he could not pass judgment on the beyonders. The Tribunal can only pass judgment on entities that exist only in the Multi-verse. So he wouldn't be able to defeat the phoenix either, nor would he want to, his purpose is to keep the balance and balance wouldn't exist with out the phoenix. Its funny, because the Phoenix likes to chill in the void before all aka the hot white room which also exists outside the multi-verse but also in the M'Kraan crystal.

The Mkraan Crystal does not contain the White Hot Room, it's revealed that the True M'Kraan Crystal is in the White Hot Room which the Phoenix truly manifests!

The White Hot room is the void that existed before creation it's a dimension that exists outside the multiverse in an area of the cosmos called Mysteries. and no one except the phoenix and its hosts have ever been there or can even get there. The two ways to get to the white hot room is from the Shore or Mkraan crystal,.

I believe the one above all isn’t the most powerful being in existence, I think the ranks of power go on forever in the MCU but the one above all is the most powerful being within the mental capacity of comprehension of the creator of that universe, however someone must have been responsible for the creation of the one above all for him to make that universe and have someone in that universe believe they created their own universe, them being the beyonder, so if the one above all made the beyonder who believes he made the entire universe, it’s possible that someone made the one above all making them believe they created someone who believes they created the universe but it will just keep going up and up but TOAA is the most powerful one we can comprehend, having even more powerful beings, races and mysterious constructs above them. That would be a cool concept to explore
After TOAA. It ends with Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. As they are the creators.

I'm actually hoping they don't go too hard on the cosmic entities. The one that I think should be portrayed heavily is Galactus because of his ties to the Fantastic 4 it's most likely we'll see him. I personally just think a lot of the cosmic gods in marvel feel like such generic entities of power and after how they portrayed Thanos and the promise of how they're portraying Kang I think a lot of these villains would just feel so grey and tasteless after the flavor they've added to other big bads. Dr. Doom will likely be the next major threat after Kang but after that I have my hopes that they'll focus on someone like Mephisto, or Knull as I think that could have a much more interesting dynamic than immortal cosmic god.
Chaos king and Knull are basically children of Oblivion.

Stan Lee was playing a character in the movies dude. He played the one above all. All those scenes where he just popped up randomly are him as the one above all. Jack Kirby would appear as him as well in comics.
