Smart guy, I'm no trucker but I have a 68 IH Loadstar 1700 4x4 sitting in my yard that was supposed to just be brake work to get it on the road. Now it has a newly painted frame, newly painted floor and doghouse, cut out the bench (that I loved) and installing a reinforced floor frame for air ride captains chairs, built a wooden flatbed from all 4 x 6" beams, restored the old cast iron Dayton wheels, and well, almost finished the brakes too!!! To be fair, I rebuilt the entire brake system including remote mounted brake booster, etc. So I did other things while waiting on parts and just keep telling myself "I'd rather do it now, and do it right, than in 5 degrees covered in snow and ice!!"

If I'm paying a guy to dig in there I'll spend the money on new parts for them to reassemble instead of putting the old ones back on that you have no idea how old they are because you bought the rig used. Also sweet air lift for the cab. I've only seen the hand jacks.

Porter greetings! Another Walmart truck! 🥰 A 4 foot stretch…bet it rides like a dream! Mine is a 1995 as well, but it doesn’t look this good! 🤩 He’s right…he took the time to do the overhaul, replace those hard to reach parts now and really set himself up to not break down out on the road! He took care of the truck and it will take care of him! 🤩🧐 He’s got a real nice rig, 11.1 Detroit and all. Yeah, it really is possible to turn them up a bit, but without doing damage to that engine. My IH the 11.1 and it’s beefed up a bit. More of my buddies went the 11.7 route and are happy but they still like the other just as much. It’s a matter of not keeping your foot on that throttle all the time that makes the difference! 🧐 Glad to have seen this video…I’m glad that we have cabovers such as this one still here in the USA!!! 🥰🤩🇺🇸 God bless our truckers!🥰✌️
