    Agree with your view. These rules (the shot clock rules for lineouts and scrums) will mostly affect (tire) forwards. Therefore, having more forwards on the bench would be beneficial, which suits a 6-2 split.

      @@norsewind123 that rule is pointless you could just instruct the refs to hurry it up. Half the time some refs are also having a little tea party and doing god knows what while players take their sweet time. Forwards aren’t dumb, if you let them they’ll waste as much time as they can to rest. If refs can hurry it up in the last 5mins and warn players to hurry or give away a free kick then they can do that all match you don’t have to make any new law. WR are more and more acting like politicians, masters and seeming busy when they doing fokol in reality. Gotta justify their paycheck I guess, they could spend that time training their refs to be consistent in their decisions but that requires effort and why do effort when you can get paid doing nothing.

    Love your positive comments on how some of the rules can actually be to the advantage of the Boks. We all know if Wolrld Rugby can totally make away with the scrum they will still do it, but which I personally won't happen. With these new teams will have to be much fitter and their conditioning will have to be up there. Yes it's good to speed up the game, but surely no team can be running wild for the whole 80 though...😮

    The 20 min red card is a solid idea, this is for things like head to head contact, especially when it's accidental, Andre Esterhuizen's red card, same with Sam Canes in the RWC final. Neither was foul play, but both players sat out the rest of the game.
    The other example is the fijian scrum half that elbowed the back of another players head - that is foul play and results in a red card and your team down to 14 men.
    Getting set pieces (Scrum and lineout) to move faster is a good idea as well. Still keeps the important parts of the game intact, but eliminates tired forwards walking back to the mark or setting up huddles before entering a lineout.
    Forwards are going to have to be fitter in order to keep up with the pace of the game. Where this impacts South Africa, is exactly where Jordan highlighted. If you go back to the Springboks v All Blacks in Ellis Park, 2022. The Springboks had to change their entire front row before the end of the first half.

You missed one potentially *huge* implication of the 30 sec scrum set shot clock : Weaker scrum teams will likely, if at danger of giving up a penalty within kicking distance by losing a scrum, rather delay for 30 + sec, thereby giving a freekick to other team (who's then no longer allowed to choose a scrum from a freekick), and now has to choose a less effective option (tip and go, or giving up possession by kicking for touch). This will indeed be detrimental to the Springboks

      Before we even start worrying about referees, perhaps World Rugby need to educate the supporters. And not through Nigel Owen's whistle watch, where he has now taken to playing the popular opinion card instead of actually focusing on the laws, but by means of videos uploaded to their official channel as they did regarding the forward pass issue. Of course, that forward pass video was uploaded onto their channel 12 years ago and people still bleat incorrectly about this pass and that pass being illegal, so I suppose even that won't help.
      The referees do miss some things, but OMG the pundits, media and spectators are absolutely ignorant! Given how many of those pundits and media members are actually former international players, it is a disgrace that they don't know the laws.

    *Orange for a more serious offense with the TMO providing feedback as to the seriousness of the offense which if is serious enough, it will than be upgraded to a red card(replace the CURRENT yellow card with the option of upgrading it to a red card) - this says the referee leave this to the TMO for further scrutiny to determine the seriousness

      I mean the non contested line out has already been implemented unless you had a brain dead ref to be fair. The shot clock rules tho are utter useless cause just have the refs hurry the pace which some do. A lot of times you have the ref mocking about too and having a tea party so you could just give them the instruction to say « come gents let’s get a move on » like some already do. Rugby is up to interpretation of the ref so if the ref is taking his sweet time train them better. I guess WR just wants to look busy even though half the rules here are pretty useless. Half the time it’s just a question of enforcing the existing ones.

    • @Karma-qt4ji
      @Karma-qt4ji Před měsícem

      It depends how skew it is. In the scenario of a 5 yard attacking lineout that is not contested, is it okay to throw it straight to your flyhalf in centre field to kick a drop goal? The way the law has been explained, I think that is actually legal, even though completely unreasonable. I think at the very least, it should be reasonably within the confines of the lineout area.
      There are a few ways to compete without losing your defensive abilities but I think as soon as teams try those, the laws will be tweaked to combat that.

    • @Forest9528
      @Forest9528 Před měsícem

      @Karma-qt4ji yes the way the law is worded you could just yeet the ball straight to your backline if you wanted to but that's not an issue because to stop that all the opposition has to do is jump and they immediately get the ball. Makes no sense to risk it and just always throw straight

    • @Karma-qt4ji
      @Karma-qt4ji Před měsícem

      @@Forest9528 From what I understand (and I admit I may be wrong here), you can't just jump, there needs to be a lift. So either you potentially take two players out of your maul defence 5 yards from your own line or you gift the opposition a free throw.
      So it is a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Either that or we are about to see a million different exploits that World Rugby will then have to fix so they can fix the law they introduced to replace a law that didn't require fixing. LOL this shit is tiring!

    • @dreammaker9642
      @dreammaker9642 Před měsícem

      @@Karma-qt4ji I don’t think this is as good a move as you think unless ou really hate your fly half and try to set him up with a hospital pass. As a flanker who’s sole job in the line out was stand at the back and bum rush whoever received that ball and make them regret it, I can testify that throwing it skew to your fly half who is flat footed is not a good idea if you want to remain friends with him afterwards 😂 to give you a perspective if I can rush the opposing 9 so hard he drops the ball out of fear what do you think will happen to the poor flat footed 10 who by the time he even gets his hand on the ball will have me in his face. So you can imagine someone like PSTD will make you reconsider that move very fast. See basically the moment it goes over a flankers head he’ll know who it’s going to. Now to throw it passed the line only works if you throw it straight for a crash ball which even then unless you have a really good and strong inside center he’ll get smashed. If you going to do that might as well throw it to your jumper and have a normal crash ball rather than try some high risk low reward tactic.
      You have to throw straight in a line out to make it fair because well if I can just throw it straight to my jumper it’s not a fair contest. Now if the opposing team doesn’t contest to begin with then there’s no point throwing it straight hence why 90% of refs will let it slide for the sake of game flow. Only a brain dead ref would blow for that.

      @@Hoekomnie there’s a simple fix for red cards which is simply don’t get red carded 🤷‍♂️ if you going to do dumb sht and get red carded then you should cost your team, it’s as simple as that. Otherwise there’s no accountability, sure you can get banned and what not but clearly players don’t care and then you have players like Owen Farell who make a career out of getting away with nothing. The point of the red card is your team is really going to be pissed at you and at international level your fans are going to be pissed at you so next time you have a stupid idea like diving into the ruck shoulder first at someone’s head then you’ll think twice. If a red card costs you the game you have no one else to blame but yourself.

    Viewers who like your content will subscribe, but not because you remind them too. It's kind of irritating how creaters do that, especially when it's at the start of videos. We all know it helps with the algorithm and monitisation. Tim of 'The Eggchasers' is forever reminding us of it. But it's time wasting and for you and the viewer every second counts. On a more positive note, I thought the topic of this video was very interesting and I thank you for making it.

    No need to use "moer" to sound cool and current. You can say "hit" or "smash" like the majority of other content creators out there. Remember, your content will decide whether people click the subscribe or like button, so it should advertise itself without you having to ask for likes and subs, which in my mind sometimes comes across as a bit desperate ( and this is true for other channels too ). With that said, you have a good channel with good content so keep it up.
