This was one of the best teardown videos I've watched, including the explanations and the zoom-ins. Great job!
Thanks! If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others to get the algorithm to recommend my channel.
I replaced fans by myself with this video. Saved me almost 200 bucks. Thank you so much!

Explained and guided way better than my trainer !
Haha that's because I'm a professional hands on computer disassembler :)
Nice tutorial. Thanks.
No problem

Thank you very much from Ukraine! Was very helpful. Changed thermal pasta.
Glad it helped. Not sure you should be putting pasta in your computer though. Haha jk If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others to get the algorithm to recommend my channel. Thanks!
Ty needed to clean my fans and you were the only video that helped

@@AFK1572 Thanks!
Thanks for the detailed video, it's given me the confidence I would otherwise lack. I just bought two new fans as well as Kryonaut extreme paste as it was recommended for this laptop but the instructions say to spread the paste as thin as possible. Is that paste specific instructions or would you still recommend the rice and pea method you demonstrated here. Does one method offer a greater benefit over the other?
I still recommend the rice/pea method, but spreading it thin makes it so you don't have to worry about getting the right amount. It can trap air bubbles, but it will only be marginally worse.
@ItsBinhRepaired... I'm using Alienware m15 r3... I replaced my battery but my laptop goes off once I unplug the charger. If the charger is plugged everything looks fine including the battery health.
Can you please assist?
Was the old battery doing the same thing?
This video such amaze! Many thanks 😊
I noticed one of my wifi antennas was not connected to the connector before I touched it. So I just put back together with only one and it’s same same so must have been a factory defect. Plus I messed up big time putting the battery back in, was having trouble so decided to pry it with a metal tool and sparks 😂 lucky no damage oh dear. I’m poor so no donate, but I pay premium so you guys get more money for my views.
Lol I think it pays less per view actually, but it's alright. Glad the video helped. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others to get the algorithm to recommend my channel. Thanks!
@@ItsBinhRepaired you have it all wrong, not only do you get paid the normal view amount from me, but you also get paid an additional amount from me depending on how much I watch your videos through out the month. I pay $15 a month and most of that goes to the creators. Let’s say CZcams keeps 40% like with ad revenue and creators get 60%. So each month I’m paying $10- extra that goes directly to creators. If I only watched you this month, then you get the whole $10. I’ve watched videos where people have broken down how much they are being paid and now their main focus is their premium subscribers because of how much this sector overtook and made up the majority of their revenue. If you make viewers feel bad for doing this, they will never watch your shit again and just go to one of the many other channels that appreciate the money they have committed to paying every month to a service they could be using for free.
Make sure you have your long form videos set up properly to be monetised or possibly that’s where you’re going wrong.
@@smithy2170 interesting. Are you sure it's not like member subscription?
@@ItsBinhRepaired no, this is only specifically talking about CZcams premium subscribers. Like anything, the earnings differ based upon the amount of time they spend on your content etc. So premium subscribers are really good for long videos rather than for a short that only plays 30 seconds then has an ad on it, in that case the ad revenue is often more than the premium revenue, unless the viewer only watches your shorts all month lol
I have worked on dells and the starting and stopping like in your video is exactly what the pcs do when the battery is not taking a charge. I can't test it or anything so I have no clue but you could try removing the battery entirely to see if it will start up from only power from the wall? You mentioned that the battery was swollen and I'm thinking that it's a battery issue because of that. Another thing is if the charger itself is not high enough wattage it will charge a battery but not exactly keep it running without a functional battery. Figuring out if that charger came with the pc could also help the pc stay started.
Yup! Thanks!
I did this today, however did not get to go through the heat sink part because of 3 screws stuck.
So I decided to just clean the fans instead and followed your video to reassemble it after.
Turned it on and my m17 r4 started to beep loudly, the power button signaled 2 red and 7 blue, I need help ASAP, because I can’t figure it out
Double check the ram
@@ItsBinhRepaired yea bro thanks it fixed it I was kinda rushed

I know the gpu can't be upgraded. But can it be replaced? Does the gpu board come off? Or is it soldered. I keep reading different things. Mine is stick at 300mhz I've tried everything.
It's soldered to the motherboard.
I have a question I have a father from Alienware M17 R4 Both of my fans were damaged, and when I searched, I found many different sizes than the ones I have. Is there any suggestion? 😢
Try repairing the fans
@@ItsBinhRepaired I tried doing this, but one of them is broken and the others work hard after cleaning
Hope you were able to get them replaced. :(
D: what happened to the battery!
alienware services atleast in my region is very difficult so yeah will be helpful for them, the fans are pretty thin isn't it
Usually that happens when it's plugged in and never unplugged.
Hey man , I would like to send my Alienware m17 r3 into you. I successfully changed my fans , I tired to access the heat sync and change thermal paste but I ran into stripped screws. So I said whatever and re assembled all back together , I played a game and my battery started to drain and not charge , so I swapped my 85W battery that came with it for a 56W battery (on accident) thinking I was having issues with the battery but the same occurred with the 56W battery. I then bought a new charger , and the same thing happened, it charged up to 100% but when I try to play a game or run anything heavy performance wise it shut off on me and now I don’t know what todo I tried everything. I just would like to know how to send this into you and if you could swap my thermal paste and look into my power issues please and thank you.
Sounds like you didn't reconnect the charge port or you damaged it.
@@ItsBinhRepaired i May have damaged it ? Because it was charging , turning on and everything, could u help me fix this ?
@@ItsBinhRepaired i mean anything would help man I’m in desperate needs
I don't know if I'll be able to fix it and it might be a $200-300 job.
you think this will mostly work for an M17 R4?
Why not use the right video? czcams.com/video/0Il2-Y354Lo/video.html
@@ItsBinhRepaired that’s the first video I saw. But that’s the old model. Mine is the newer one that looks identical to the R3 on this video.
@@kyle35_36 Hmmm in that case, I'm not sure. You'll have to give it a shot.
I bought new RAM for mine in the hopes of upgrading to 32gb. Jesus christ opening this thing has been the worst experience. I've got to the part where I'm supposes to unscrew the screws next to the fans and life the spin piece off but those screws won't budge with any screwdriver I have and I think one is getting to be stripped pretty good. I just wanted to install my RAM, man... 😭
Yeah... it's stupid. I recommend this screwdriver set amzn.to/44uhbOl
@@ItsBinhRepairedOh that looks nice. I'll seal it back up for now and order that. Ty.
@sheev2372 the $40 set is really nice too, but the $20 does 99.999% of electronics lol
You can upgrade the ram even though it’s soldered?
No, unless you have very special soldering skills.
Where is the RAM memory?
Other side of the motherboard or soldered

Lol
why on earth would you ever scrape on a heatsink or dye with plastic scrapper isopropyl alchol is cheap and easy to find FFS
Some people just complain about everything... The paste is made of diamond bits. It's going to do much more damage to it...
@@ItsBinhRepaired you do realize thats not all thermal paste right only diamond based ones and if you think dell is wasting money on diamond based paste thats hilarious and even still its only particulates that would not cause damage and would get wiped off but scraping can cause damage but whatever its def just complain about everything 🙄
@@ItsBinhRepaired diamond based pastes are absurdly expensive to the point no business would use them 🤣
@@Cyricaaa I put diamond paste. If anything I scraped off oxidation. Do you think that's enough to kill or even harm a computer? You act like I was scraping it every day for a month...
@@Cyricaaa I'm surprised you didn't complain that I wiped it with paper towel and not a microfiber cloth or something... lol
Who else ran into stripped screws ?😔
Your screwdriver is the wrong size.
When I got to the heat sync It unscrewed like 3 of them, the rest of em were stuck and I started to strip them. I know I had the right size because some screw came off !
@@dooktah that doesn't mean you have the right size. If it's one size too small it can work if the screw isn't too tight.
@@ItsBinhRepairedah i see :/ well I fucked up my screws on my heat syncs trynna to swap thermal paste , you did help me out a lot a ton I will be donating man. And by any chance would I be able to send this in to you todo a thermal paste change even thou some screws are stripped ?
@@dooktah sure, you could send it to me. Hopefully it wasn't stripped too bad
