Today is day 3 of doing these exercises as well as the foot strengthening exercises. It has literally changed my life. I do them in the morning and at night. For 7 years I’ve had an ankle injury that damaged soft tissue. Every day I’m in pain. My ankle swells up and I can’t even stand on it. The pain shoots all the way up to my hip. I’ve had to change jobs because of this injury and I’ve felt so hopeless that I was going to live with the constant pain forever. I prayed that my Ankle would be healed and the next day this video showed up in my Recommend. THE FIRST TIME I did these exercises (as well as the foot ones) my pain went away. Including my hip pain. It is the first time in 7 years that the pain wasn’t there! At first I couldn’t do these exercises and I couldn’t do ANY of the foot exercises. I couldn’t even walk on my heels. Almost same, i have pain under my ankle and around ankle, since i shoot the ball with left leg, but feel pain in my right leg and started to feel pain under my ankles
@@Beast-ej6yz yea do a small warm up for your legs to get used to moving. Such as mountain climbers and stretches. Also when running long distance after a few miles you want to shake your leg idk what idk what it does but my running coach says it keeps your leg active and prevents cramps

I quit going to physical therapy before they said I was done, and I figured things would just keep on getting better the more I used my ankle. I don’t really have a limitation in what I can do with my ankle but I get extreme pain after I overuse it and sometimes pain for no reason at all. I did the stretches in your video and they have made a world of difference. I did them a few times a day for a few days and felt 100% better. I felt so much better that I quit doing the stretches. That was a mistake. I’m doing the stretches a few times a day, every day, now and I feel so much better. Thank you for providing this video, it helped me tremendously!
Hello there Dr. Cobb I had a lot of ankle sprains during my life, over 10 times at least. And my ankle is hurting when I run now even though it has been a long time since i didn't sprain it. I have been talking with an orthopedist chirurgian specialised in feet. May be thinking of a surgical operation for my ankle. Do you think at my point I should do the surgery? I ran in wedge while my ankle was sprained and swollen. It eventually went away. That was in 2015, I begun to suffer from that mistake last year. The pain went away but I was in wheelchair cause I couldn't walk crutches. It just started up again last week. I had an MRI on it about 2 months ago.

wow the outside of my ankle cap felt locked. ive been limping around. i heard all kinds of tiny cracks and pops when i did these exercises. and it feels like there is rotation again :) ty

Hi all, I've been trying to find an insole that, when I wear my high heeled boots, will stop that awful pain in the ball of my foot and ankle. I have tried gel insoles but they don't work. I really like my boots and I want to wear them for longer than an hour without having this pain in my feet. Any advice greatly appreciated.
I sprained my ankle in 1st may till now i can't get the range motion of the other leg i can't put where i put the other leg i feel the ankle joint of the front is like something holding him i can make up and down but not down deeply like the other one specially when putting it on the ground and trying to pend my knees

Man these rotation circular movements might be dangerous at the early stage of recovery from ankle strain. I recover from light grade 1-2 strain, It’s been 3 weeks for me and i experience pain when walking. On the inside and outside of the ankle. Is it ok to feel pain like this after 3 weeks of rest? Or it’s ligaments damage?
Thanks for the question. Typical healing times for ligament sprains are 6-8 weeks. Normally, with good rehab work we would like to see the pain reduction during walking be pretty significant by 3 weeks so if it continues definitely get checked out. As for the rotational movements, it's really all about the range of motion. Post-injury we need movement to help reduce swelling, normalize blood flow and to regain motor control and coordination. So, we will usually have clients do the circular movements, but VERY gently and in a pain-free range of motion.
I am unable to run ,I have an injury on left leg right side of ankle but unable to detect exact injury, doctor suggested that dip ankle in hot water for 15 minutes twice a day but after 1-2 months I can't get relief whenever I start slow running it stars paining so please suggest me what can I do. I love cricket but last 3 months I can't played..please help

Maybe i got something else but ....my leg started hurting randomly. My right leg had pain in the front of my ankle and a little lower from my knee. It's like a intermittent pain that comes and goes , and feels like sharp

Yea I used to play soccer without warming up and after sometime I was struggling to run cuz I felt like there r weights tied to my ankle.

It works for me if I had a previous sprain? sometimes my ankle hurts and i do some stretching to calm it but i just hear bones cracking in my foot...
