The Nighthawks were my first live blues band experience at a club in Gerorgetown in 1977. What an amazing introduction to the blues! Glad to see they're still rippin' it up!
Back in the 70's these guys played at the Cellar Door in GTown, and I remember catching them at the Scorpion in State College PA, with Greg Allman. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
I first seen the nighthawks perform at the psychedelly resturaunt in Bethesda, Md back in the mid 70's and have at least eight albums autographed by them from a birthday party in charles town WV great band, great people !!
Ok. So I'm not what you would call a "blues" person, but I saw these guys last night opening for the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Unbelievable. Can't wait to see them again.
I went to Somerset Elementary with them, and then to Western Jr. High. After that lost touch with them as I dropped out, but saw Mark for the first time in 50 years in December. Is the keyboard player you mention Kevin Walsh or Guy Dorsey? Would love to know what happened to Kevin Walsh.
Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the all-time great blues bands! They are a national treasure! And in top form here!

I have a 45 (single) called "When Sin Stops" interpreted by the Nighthawks
back in the late 50's. Are these the same guys or sons of those?
