Kalos is a fun curveball because iirc we can’t catch Xerneas or Yveltal after all the DLC in Gen 9. That’s a weird omission with all the other legendaries included otherwise.
Someone said it was similar to how SWSH had all the fossils except the Gen 4 ones. And then we got Gen 4 remakes…. 🤔

there were other legends that weren't included in the DLC. Tapu's weren't included. And we can only transfer the Regis and the Sinnoh legends as well as Galar legends.
Gen 10 should combine both PLA and the open World of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet! And should be released in 2026 GameFreak needs to take all the time they need.
YES PLEAZE. This is exactly what I've been wanting. I liked SV enough but I'm still going back to Legends more 😆 It's just so much more fun to interact with its world. If SV had those same mechanics (and let's be honest... art style and music) I'd always just be in SV instead but here we are

It would make sense to release something related to Johto on its 25th anniversary for 2024, while also releasing something related to Unova on its 15th anniversary for 2025.
Unova is after Gen10 in 2026. This year 2024, is Gold and Silver's silver anniversary. Next year is Crystal's. It's Johto.
I heard, GF outsourced to ILCA to make a 'Legends type' game for Johto, while they were working simultaneously in a proper Crystal remake(not faithful) and Gen10. The Johto games would release similar to BDSP and PLA but Switched around as in The Switch.
My wish for the future Pokémon games would be hybrids of traditional and Legends Arceus and also perfectly baked!
That's the ideal imo! Not sure if they'll actually do it tho. Either way a properly baked product is RIGHT
gen 6 was what brought me back to the series, and made it very accessible to the casual audience so without a doubt it was one of the better games as the first foray into 3d games for pokemon. Personally I would rather see a gen 5 remake or something to the effect, though I will admit that gen 2 desperately needs a remake on modern hardware as well.
Yo yo yo! Pokemon on the next system IS GONNA BE AWESOMMME! Gamefreak got better and better these last years and i think theill get even better next! I cant wait to see what they do. I think were gonna see black white something. I dont think they ever skipped a remake! I did see some leaks tho that the sv dlc was our black white thing but i dont believe it! Kalos revisit sounds intresting id love to see that it was the prettiest region just didnt look that good on ds
That's totally fair. I guess they never did skip a remake but they also have switched things around before. Like lets go peevee and legends arceus show that they're willing to give unexpected regions some love and/or willing to pay fresh homage to previous regions (in this case woulda been sv's dlc)

Awesome video I think we are getting johto or some kind of ports because dang 25 years and we get nothing is wild black and white I agree the dlc was that but not everyone played it so they still want unova so I have no idea

@@johtojonny Why would you think it’ll get bdsped? Johto already has traditional remakes if Johto returns it’s gonna be a spin-off like Kanto with let’s go. Unova is next in line for remakes gen 4 was the last one and it’s inevitable for the next ones to be gen 5.
I honestly believe that we were going to get Black/White remakes in the style of Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl this year but the reception to the Switch era along with the ever increasing demands of development changed those plans.
Ultra sun=2017= no skipped game.
There actually is a huge possibility for something Johto related this year, since Johto games released in 1999 in Japan, meaning 2024 is the 25th anniversary for Johto.
Like, the problem here is that 2026 is way to late for a Mainline Pokemon game, since that would mark a 4 year gap. Remakes aren't gonna cut the problems the TCG and VCG have, since in the current capacity (With everyone and their mothers use the same Pokemon, especially at the VCG), they cannot support themselves past the current 3 year lifespan.
This year’s game will be a Unova or Johto game, either set in the past or future, or even both.
Johto then, since its the 25 anniversary of Johto this year.
My wildcard prediction is also a Kalos Revisit. fingers crossed!
If GameFreak has been asking for more development time from the higher ups, it does make a lot of sense for the patterns they've left behind to be bent (if not completely broken) in more ways than one. I do want them to develop their games with more time, and your findings does reassure me that Pokemon games had taken a couple of years at minimum before a new Gen premieres in a new Nintendo console.
About the part where you said Game Freak skipped a year in 2017… they released Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon on the 3DS that year! They actually haven’t skipped a year since 2015
I don’t think there will even be a Switch 2 announced, let alone released, before Pokemon Day 2024, since it’s less than a month away, so I was thinking whatever they announce this year will be released on the Switch 1
Johto and gold and silver are turning 25 this year and unova gen 5 have their own anniversary as well in 2025. Thro they could do a remake of black and white during generation 10. Which I could see that happening during gen 10. I think gen 10 could be in 2026 at the 30th anniversary like sun and moon and gen 7 was in 2016 with the 20th anniversary of Pokémon. Gen 10 is already been in development since gen 9 came out in the fall of 2022. The scarlet and violet era might be over but Gen 9 is not over yet. Plus johto and unova are the only two regions that have yet to be in 3d and are the only two regions that we haven’t revisited yet in over a decade. The last time johto was relevant and we visited johto was heart gold and soul silver back in 2009 in Japan and 2010 in the North American release. And the last time we were in unova and unova was relevant was 2012 with black and white 2. Kalos and x and y already had their tenth anniversary last year.
I would Love a pokemon Johto but it be nice to revisit the kalos region as well

Your trend at the start is wrong. They don't skip years for a new console. They simply release the new game on the previous console. Ex: BW2 2012, USUM 2017. There will 100% be a new game, but it won't be on the new console, it'll be on the switch.

I prefer faithful remakes of Pokemon Black and White. No Johto game please as every past Johto game was awful. And I don't want another bad Legends game. However, what is revealed for this year, I still likely get the game even if I completely despise the game. I mean a break year is not impossible. 2015 was the last break year we had. I don't think we get another mystery dungeon game.
ps - I love BDSP and I want more remakes like it. Hence why i said i wanted faithful BW remakes

I'm with you guys. I hope they just take time with their next games. They said they want to, and reports say the entire Pokemon company is looking at a restructure to accompany higher quality products a la my last video... but we'll see!

Gen 6 is trash. Johto faithful remakes and Legends Celebi are the way to go while they develop gen 10. I would hope Gen 10 comes in 2028 lol so they can do it well but probably will come sooner than that
