This game was a complete mess I completely hated Viola, couldn't care less for what she was responsable or not I just hated every second she was on screen Also trying to make Luka like, important? Not as he wasn't important, but I don't get why he had to be so involved and suddenly be as important/powerful as Bayonetta herself, maybe they wanted to justify why would Bayo fell for him? I wouldn't mind if they ended together but in this game it felt forced as hell, and kinda underminds the fact he earned Bayo's respect and apreciation despite everything by just being himself And they made Janne the most incompetent character ever, not to mention her terrible "stealth" missions And god, Singularity is the worst goddam thing ever, no personality, a character I didn't even notice was an actual character untill the last portion of the game, non-sensical motivations, and where the hell did he even got that power to begin with (Oh also the power scaling is non existant) The ending felt rushed, and like a slap in the face, completely robing us from any cool moment, not explaining how the univerese came back or if it's even the same and the terryfing prospect that they wanted to make Viola the new series protag I feel so sad about the whole thing because there are a couple of good ideas here But they messed it up

Grown men crying about a grown man about a kid's game

I like my experience with Sword more than Violet. Sword was my go-to escape from the pandemic. I would shiny hunt via online raids. I remember being excited for the dlc's; seeing returning Pokemon felt so good. Violet, on the other hand, was a different story. The day before the gen 9 games launched, I tested positive for c0v!d. I had to convince my fiance to get the game for me. When I played it, the game kept crashing. It's how I lost a full odds shiny Voltorb. Additionally, I got sick with colds during the 2 dlc's. For the first time in my life; playing Pokemon felt like a chore. So I did what any struggling player would do, I played Pokemon Legends Arceus instead; which was my true therapist. Chucking Pokeballs, exploring, and that shiny sound..... *chefs kiss*

Yes women are deaigned horribly. Women are made to be skinny and sexy. Men are made to be strong. Its weird. Theres no effort to cater to womens sexuality, its all about designing women that look like cartoon porn stars. Fan service isnt bad, unless its always catering to one group. Also, your character design shpuld make sense. All the guys in baldurs gate, except halsin, are standard dudes. You could find them all at planet fitness. The women are not normal women. Their breasts defy gravity, they dont look like standard women. Ots fucked when the men are always average and the women are 10/10 every time. Lets men coast on being mediocre.

I think Verlisify is crazy for *most* of the stuff he says about this game. I will admit that i definitely don't think this game is trash like Verlisify says, but i was bored throughout the game, mainly because the main objective of this game is to fill pokedex entries which means i had to catch alot of pokemon..... and for me it gets tedious after a while. I totally understand people liking the game, thats probably just a me thing. Also the game has a slow start...... but thats about it, i don't agree with anything else Verlisify said. I was actually losing my mind throughout alot of the video (not at you Johto Jonny, your cool😊). One part where i lost it was when he said "artificial difficulty"......... BITCH, THE POINT OF ANY GAME IS TO BE GIVEN A CHALLENGE AND DEFEAT IT. IF THERE'S NO "ARTIFICIAL DIFFICULTY" THERES NO FUCKING GAME!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.......im done, i apologize😊. Another part was when he said pokemon legends is a step backwards but the sword and shield dlc is a step forward. I do personally like sword and shield mainly because it was the first mainline pokemon game i played so i definitely am biased...... but I'm not so delusional to the point of saying the first 3D open world pokemon with fast loading times and crafting system, on top of a great battle system and over world pokemon with a pretty good story is a step backwards, but the fucking wild area and a generic ass dlc pack is a step forward. It hurts for me to say that because i like sword and shield and i dont like bashing on my first mainline pokemon game, but i know deep down its not good and that i just have a soft spot for Gen 8, flaws and all😞 I think you did a great job countering everything Verlisify was saying. Keep up the great work. 💜

HARD DISAGREE on Bayonetta. Sure she has power, but there's no way she's not objectified. Name a male character that gets the same treatment as Bayonetta, and isn't played for comic relief. Hell, the one of the major marketing campaigns for the first game involved billboards where passers-by could assist in striping her naked, by removing one of the many small flyers that made up her clothing.

Is all little boys fantasy. Some people never grow up. Especially in this snowflake generation. A real man is harder to find this days. To many cry babies and snowflakes.

Finally got around to watching this. My take on these female characters is that the VAST majority of "sexy" female characters are drawn by men and are walking stereotypes. And also that less clothing doesn't automatically equal sexy. This is why I love the new tomb raider games and how she's actually wearing realistic clothes but is still beautiful at the same time. I think if a woman wants to create a character and make her sexy, have at it, I just really dislike it when a man does it as it's usually not nuanced at all.

I think that based on the first game, they introduced a feeling of a character who valued herself and embrace her femininity. However, BAYONETTA wasn’t shy of being smart, witty, cunning, and also helpful when she felt like it. In other words? She was not someone to mess with, but to trust. In the 3rd game I didn’t feel those similar feelings I had when I first played BAYONETTA 1 when I was 18. At 30 I can’t say I felt that same feeling in the 3rd game which is unfortunate.

I feel like the bigger question is, are real women inappropriately designed? Periods, wtf is up with those? Not to mention we can't breath underwater on a planet largely covered in water. I think the whole species needs a rework, like why the fuck are the men so short? 6'2" should be the shortest a man grows too.

The main reason I didn't bother with the game, and I've been an avid fan since 2009. They strayed away from the Biblical aspects of the games from 1 and 2. The one quote that leaves me sour that they never did anything with was "Balder, please take care of Cereza. Our dear sweet child will awaken to her potential...she will awaken to the Eyes of the World." It was a story about a Father and a Daughter after the death of the Mother and they didn't continue this. They also dropped the single most important quote the Bayonetta 2, that she will inherit the Eyes of the World. Like wtf....I'm so sour.

I also just love how Bayonetta gets saved by a simp in the end. The best thing out of Bayo 3 is that all Lukas have combined to go to Hell with Bayo3, so at least we'll never see another version of Luka. I really liked him when Bayo didn't take him seriously but after 3 I just hate him.

The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is the lack of armor on female characters in some games, like you will have the same character when made male have an entire armor and what not (sometimes, you can't even customize them), but the same female char has virtually nothing to protect. I mean i know they want to appeal to male audience, but it's a war. Not having armor over fashion doesn't make sense 🤣 Also, why do female designs in game have more customizations 😢, like guys only get the basic customizations, that's so unfair man 😢 lol

I agree, maybe some of these designs are fanservice, and that fanservice may not be directed towards me, but is fanservice that bad?, that depends, because even though those designs give more variety for video game female characters, I don't feel like we really need more overly sexual female characters with exaggerated bodies and fanservice directed to the male gaze because that "variety" it's just more of the same, plus, the male characters from those games 99% of the times are not treated that way for obvious reasons, nonetheless I fully agree (with what should be the obvious ofc) that female characters are much more than just a body. Bayonetta will always be a great example of how to keep the balance in giving fanservice to horny guys but also creating a woman full of confidence, emotions, personality, incredibly powerful and with control of how she portrays her sex appeal, an icon!

I like when woman in games are portrayed like Aloy or Bayonetta (1 and 2), where they are strong, independent and NOT attached to any man romantically to be a good female lead. In both cases, one is stoic, courageous and accept not bulshit, can see through the logic instead of accepting mad people as prophets and bow to no one, not even people in power. The other literally uses all of the sexuallity it has as a weapon. You can see but you can't touch. She's powerful, but not only in her kicks and shots, but also the way she talks, the way she grunts when attacking, everything in her moveset screams I'm powerful AND sexy, and you will fear me for that, even if you desire me. Because you cannot touch me. And I think one very glaring example of HOW NOT to portrait a woman in game is Stellar Blade's Eve. She's sexy, but it's the Doll kind of Sexy. The idealized way man want a woman to be sexy. She's sexy but pretty, almost innocent. And even the sounds she does constantly feels slutty, not powerful. Every scream feels like she's moaning, and that's to me a bad point. I can barely watch a gameplay of that without feeling awful, like it's still possible to make my mom watch me playing Bayonetta, she would be horrified but at least would understand it's a funny silly game with a protagonist that is actually throwing her sexuallity as a weapon, while Stellar blade would make her feel in constant pain because most of the time it feels I'm seeing a sex doll walking around and moaning when attacking. No matter how good a game is, you can SEE when a game is sexualized and what's the public it aims for. And the public Bayonetta, Horizon and Stellar Blade aims for are completely different, but the first two do it with respect, while the other is to appease a very loud, very obnoxious gamer group that need to jerk off to fake woman, who probably see a normal woman online and call them fat and shame them. Simple as that.

Honestly pretty simple- Give variety, and actually try for good character design...This applies to any character in my opinion. A protagonist in a post apocalyptic world should not be running around like its a day at the beach. There can be some suspension of disbelief, not everyone needs heavy armor, but put it in the realm of reason for god's sake- Too many games have the same damn avatar/character, with different genders to choose from, and suddenly the female option HAS to have bare thighs and heels?? From a narrative standpoint, that messes with the world building. If she's the same person as her male counterpart, and they're both fighters for example, why is she making things worse for herself by wearing heels and less protective clothing? Does she value her safety less than the guy?? Bayonetta is a supernatural witch who takes pride in her sense of style- So it makes perfect sense for her to look the way she does. Devs gotta stop taking the lazy repetitive way out, or stop making weird nonsese excuses for why their scantily clad character didn't die before the tutorial, dressed like that.

Did a fun challenge with my mom where we try to eat more salad to lose at least five pounds. It was fun but my mom ended up getting tired of it even though the salads were great. Im not against sexy character who are women, but when most female characters are sexualised and the men rarely are (and not usually in the same 'oogling' way the wonen are) i can see why many think its a sensitive issue

I’m not sure why I’m getting this recommended to me now, but I didn’t realize verlisify was still around. Although he has fallen into one of my favourite things to notice that happens to male CZcamsrs/content creators… after a certain period of time they start to artificially lower their voice (or at least they try). Like guy, it’s obvious and it doesn’t sound great. In fact, it makes one’s voice sound hollow and without power (him in particular sounds hollow). But at least he didn’t go the vocal fry route.

Am i the only one who thinks the humonculie are the worst enemy type in a three games? They completely ignore your attacks and the timing of there own attacks as so weirdly telegraphed
