Ah! Can't say how much I miss the Hampshire Avon! Barbel fishing for me (can't afford salmon fishing) and Ibsley Bridge has almost mythic significance to me. Lovely place! Nice salmon too! :-)

Otterysteve thanks Steve, ibsley bridge is a magical pool for all species. I know a brace of 3 lb plus roach were caught in the same swim back in the 80s. The Hampshire Avon is a wonderful place to fish! I hope you get the chance to have ago for the barbel and monster chub.

Nice fish! I've never fished the prawn, mainly because it's banned on most parts of the Tyne! A friend of mine is going to show me the ropes on the River Wear using it. Looks a great method. I just take the fly rod out on the Tyne. I'm probably out doing myself of a few fish in certain conditions omitting the spinner, but I can never be bothered to carry two rods around with me!

Hi Paul love the vids. Have you ever fished anywhere in Cumbria? I can't catch anything, but I'm learning and your vids will hopefully speed up that process 😂.

Cumbrian Angler hi Cumbrian Angler, I'm using a couple of he 1080 contour 3 cameras. They retail at about 90 pounds plus 30 pounds for extras. Battery life of 7 hours and are very robust and versatile. They are built to last and water proof to 3 feet without housing. 30m with the housing. Easy to recharge and download. Simple to operate and built in sound system that reduces wind noise. Only downside is that you need to double the sound edit to hear commentary. Not good at picking up sounds more than 3 feet from the camera. Hope that helps. You can get them on next day delivery from amazon or eBay..

I have to listen on headphones to hear you at all Paul. Worth doing, but inconvenient sometimes.
