Good video ! I would actually recomend using the crimp connections over solder. Solder should be avoided where ever possible in a vehicle in my opinion . Especialy anywhere near the engine bay .
As these are Right Hand Drive ( UK / Australia etc ) and not LHD ( Germany France / USA ) it did not seem relevant to get them approved for use in Germany .. but if we had submitted them for a test they would fail due to the beam pattern ! ( although this would help the German economy with the test fees i am not sure it would be the best move for the light maker ! )
What you call the side light angle eye is also part of DRL which should be wired to come on with the ignition these make a huge improvement to the look and the night vision
Yes you can fit any 7" headlight in a defender .. there are many brands available for you to choose from. Some brands are not manufacturers ( Wipac are reported to use a manufacturer in Taiwan to make some of their product )
I just purchased the newer headlight HL730 from you powerfuluk. I cannot get the angel eye light to come on with the sidelight. I tried both the scotch connector and connecting the wires directly (single pink wire from headlight connected to black wire on sidelight--my sidelight has black, red and green unlike yours which is just black and red). sidelight comes on but angel eye will not. why is this happening?
This is odd - the light uses the headlight earth wire for its earth so if you can has headlights working you have a good earth. You could try a lead straight from the batter or fuse box to the red wire - this will test if this works - but you must have the headlight connector plugged in to get the earth ! Is the problem only on one side or both sides ? sorry for late reply
Find cheaper and I will try and price match... at the moment i cant find anyone with these or similar cheaper than we have them.....Anyway Bob after all those years in the show biz industry you must have enough money to buy a set !
Hi - they are totally brilliant - in some ways too good - as you drive along there are shadows moving as you drive past lamp posts etc. If you buy a set from us and you dont think the lights are as good as modern car headlights you can send them back for a refund.
Harry Everett Hello Harry, these are £359. We are currently out of stock of these lights, please take a look at our website on www.powerfuluk.com/categorylist/land-rover-defender-lamps-and-light-upgrades/. If you would like to purchase or be placed on back order please contact sales@powerfuluk.com

Pointless video if you have an Ex-MoD or Upgraded to 24 volt electrical system, I know they are not as many as the lower std. 12v models, but surely someone can cater for the Wolf owners - Please ???
The video is not at all pointless as these lights work at 24v...... There are loads of people using 24v 7" headlights - a lot of lorries use them.....you are not alone.... time to buy !
What a sick LED light that is! I should change LED with my Defender too~~!
Thank you for your wonderful video ok !
So they're 7 inch headlights? like the Jeep Wrangler?

can anyone help,is there a way to chance military style indicators and side light to stand defender light
I'd clean the original bracket and give it a cost of paint prior to fitting... Great video!
what's brand and model this lights? any 7'' round head light can fit Defender? THX!
Ok guys! I found it very interesting. I need these on my defender. Is there a link to buy them please? Thanks for posting :)
Do these lights have the TUV (German tested and approved) certificate?
The dissasembly shows how incredibly easy it is for someone to nick your headlights.
everything on a defender is easy to nick, bonnet theft on pumas is bit of an issue now.
@@mcgrorymachined7596 Not if you don't have a Puma bonnet and Optimill hinges and a cable guard !

it's a shame that the sidelights and indicator are not changed ant the same time
@powerfulukltd great video and well explained. Where is Part 2 to see the lights working??
Open barrel splice and head dr25 heat shrink is the best way to collect up the side light

Apart from looking different, are they any good?

did you have uploaded the vid in slowmotion?
or were you a bit tired??
lol
no offense, they say the same about where I live
I could be wrong, but are you anywhere near from Norfolk??? o_0
It all depends how you define NEAR - about 300 miles is not that near ?
powerfulukltd Ah. I must be wrong then. I thought I heard a bit of a Norfolk accent in there...
Do these headlights have to be Canbus?
No there is no need for bulb check compatibility on Land Rover
This headlight looks like 12 bulbs. The one you sell on the website looks like 4 lamps.
Hey guys!
What is the price of these lights!?
Thanks

Bought it for U$50 dollars free shipping from China.
who ever uses scotch locks wants a slap. can no one solder these days ???
They should be banned lol
Just being finicky here, but IP67 by classification isn't "fully waterproof", that'd be IP68.
I guess he can't claim its ip68 because that would be 'water under pressure', deep water. while ip67 is only at 1m deep.
how many times did he said "ok"?
+Edvin Markos Yes I agree i say OK too much - much to the amusement of the staff here !
Can the manufacturer not make the light with the mounting bracket in place rather than use old rusty parts
Hi ,can I get price of that Ld head light
All our headlights are on our website... www.PowerfulUK.com
Do you sell these lights?
Hi - we dont have these lights any more - we have changed design to this new version

www.powerfuluk.com/vehicles/land-rover/defender/lamps-light-upgrades.html
Here's the link to show what it looks like on. czcams.com/video/DMISVCq8hc4/video.html
Oh Kay. goh ie
a good way to spend £600!!!!!!!
those are very expensive
Those connector should be banned!! You as a company should not recommend those. Cut the wire and use those crimp connectors whit shrink tube on.
These headlights look good. But are no longer available. The new ones are ugly.
Just do a hello kittie paint job and be done with it.
Looks hideous.
£600.00 lights and your using scotchlock connectors.....christ on a bike.
