These are facts.
Prince did a interview with Arsenio Hall and Prince said it was true they came to his house played ball, and he did make them pancakes. Prince also said he could make omelets to.
I always felt Charlie owed us ONE more true Hollywood story.
There is another that was unaired. It’s called “I want more” longer and not quite as funny as the others, but still great.

I got to see Charlie Murphy in one of the last performances that he did before he died. He looked terrible, but he was still ridiculously funny. I told my boyfriend at the time that I was concerned that he might be on drugs or something.
Turns out the "or something" was him being very sick-He died shortly after. I think that Charlie knew that his time was short and he wanted to do one last tour before he couldn't do it anymore.
The actual Rick James was actually hilarious in this segment as well.

So glad this got made when there was a chance. This is its own vein and lane of comedy. To have Chappelle in it makes it that much better. It also proves Dave is not just a standup legend and great sketch performer, but probably an excellent actor.
The ONLY reasons these skits got made is because Chappelle had a real show and production faciltiies. When people as WHY do you give people that don't usually get a tv show a TV show? THIS IS WHY! THESE Skits are celebrity history fine, but they are STORIES and STORIES are HUMAN history.

@@ataye1 Yea i dunno how many more actually true stories he had lined up..... Im sure he couldve made a 1 or 2 hour special at least..... However, without someone like DC to help play out the dramatization it wouldnt be nearly as funny.
I'd say they didnt pursue it because of legal issues.... if rick james and prince werent cool about it, this couldve been a disaster.... especially the rick james one.
He kind of did, that "We got to do better show" came out a few years later. More of a reaction show than sketch show though.
