Devastating flooding in Nottinghamshire - UPDATE 2 DAYS LATER - NEWARK And how quick the water goes

  • A few days ago, I was in Nottinghamshire surveying the devastating floods and witnessing the widespread damage and disruption it caused. Now, two days later, I've returned to observe the aftermath and to assess how much the floodwaters have receded. It's striking to see the difference in just a few days. Where has all this water gone?

Thanks for bringing us these update videos Neil, thankfully things are slowly getting back to normal now but it doesn’t help the devastation caused for many.

You should visit derby where it all starts, that would be interesting to show where the floods start and explain the journey it makes to Newark and beyond 👍🏽
    Keep up the good work!

£10 pound Xmas bonus from the DWP. What could be more insulting. £500 pounds. You can hear people saying. 'Well, at least it's something'. Then you have the polar opposite. The Home Office gives multi-millions to illegal immigrants who have no business being in the UK. And still, they come in by the boat loads. 100,000s walled up in hotels and B 'n' B's, whilst the taxpayer continually pays for new arrivals....

Great footage I honestly didn't realise how bad the flooding had been. I'm just thankful we live on the highest point in Nottinghamshire. I do feel for all those who were affected by it...But as long as there's building on flood plains it'll continue to happen though...

Thank you for your great videos. We’ve been to our boat today at Newark Marina and all is in good order there. Your videos give us an insight into how bad the levels were. Looking forward to watching your spring and summer updates. Perhaps we’ll see our boat cruising along the Trent.

Hi Karen, in the spring you will have to let me know when you’re back on the water, we could do a good video on the drone following the boat from all different angles, if you would like me too.
Let me know what you think 🙏
      Neil

Thank you for the video Neil.
Hopefully the insurance companies wont drag there feet with payment to those poor people, after all there fast enough to take there premiums.
The British government are too busy paying foreign aid to think of its own people.

Its good to here the water dropping and I just hope the River Dee is the same because Chester Grosvenor was also affected by the water. Its not good with what the governments been doing to everybody as specially me because ive lately been let down and worked up over it because i do love my life time so much. I do wish all of this shouldn't happen.

If people choose to live on a known floodplain they should expect to get flooded, I do not believe insurance should pay to those who have chosen to put themselves at risk.

You should be fine Newark town is very lucky due to being up a slight hill from the River Trent it’s the villagers around the Newark area that suffer 👍
