I remember going to Casa Bonita when I was a kid two times for birthday parties. It was so great, especially when you're like 8 years old. Gives you memories you'll never forget. I'm just glad that somebody actually got it that had resources to do it properly and not cut corners.
I've never, ever been so excited about a restaurant ever - and by stroke of luck/fate, I'll be in Denver in August!
As someone who grew up in the Denver metro area from 1981-1997, I can attest that an intense love of Casa Bonita is NOT a joke. This place was magic to me from 4 to 13 (fun fact: they had a neighboring magic store until the nineties). I used to have dreams about making return visits. It was the apex of the 60’s/70’s theme restaurant trend. Casa Bonita, Celebrity Sports Center, and Cinderella City Mall were marvels of midcentury Denver. It utterly made sense when I heard about Matt Stone and Trey Parker buying it and I would’ve done the same in their position. I’m incredibly grateful and can’t wait to take my wife and daughter to Casa Bonita mk II.

My wife and I went here yes because of the episode like 10 years ago when we were stationed in CO. The atmosphere was awesome inside, however the food was more like a cafeteria. I am happy to see them restoring it, may have to stop by if we can again driving thru CO on year.
