They don't allow tips there, they start every employee at 30 bucks an hour, Matt and Trey are national treasures
As a non-American, this will be on my bucket list
These men are heroes, and national treasures. They fully embody what it means to be an American.
I see what you did there 😂
I mean it’s cool that they’re keeping a place alive, but two guys buy a business, fire all the people, and now run it for themselves and they’re heroes?
Nah they’re just preserving something from their childhood.
It is cool, but heroes? No.
@@conanruisifire all incompetents
@@alexanderchenf1 that’s a hostile takeover, quite literally the opposite of heroics.
@@conanruisi It filed for bankruptcy before they bought it. It was already gone. Whether or not they fired everyone, the people there would not have a job anyway. Who's to say they didn't re-hire some of the workers?
I think it’s important to tell the next generations about Matt and Trey. Our parents tried to get rid of them and South Park in the late 90’s and failed. Matt and Trey went on to win Emmys, Tony’s, and the hearts of their viewers.
I'm so glad all the lame people with no humor didn't win in the 90s. South Park has been such an impactful and enjoyable show for so long.
cool parents watched this with their kids
Oscar Nomination even!
Y but the leftists will always try to censor them and to ban them out of ppls minds
@@coolbrotherf127Lame people with no sense of humor are now in every age range, not just crusty old parents. Oy vey- so glad Parker & Stone are still kickin’!!
I only know of Casa Bonita through its appearance in South Park episodes, and the video game DLC. But I was shocked when I found out it was actually a real place - and saddened to hear that it closed. Having them reopen it is probably the best thing that could’ve possibly happened, It’s very clear they truly have love for this place. If I ever get the chance to see Colorado I absolutely MUST visit Casa Bonita!
Plus, as far as the games go, it's on-brand for a Ubisoft-published game to feature obscure yet iconic aspects of a city. Especially since the Assassin's Creed games.
We just visited Casa Bonita a couple days ago while in Denver.
The hot dog Cartman lives in is real too. Parker and Stone considered buying it and putting it in the Casa Bonita parking lot, but decided against it because they already sunk so much money in Casa Bonita. The hot dog was relocated and saved by other people. There are news articles of it with photos of it going down the highway to its new home.

Its a must, used to live nearby and every visit was amazing
These guys really are as genuine as you can get. I have so much respect for them both and hope (quite selfishly) that they continue to make South Park until they’re in their 80z
They are frauds and the show needs to be canceled.
You don't suffer from shellfishness
They made an episode about it years ago and now they saved it and are restoring it to its former glory so people can love it for generations to come. What legends.
I really appreciate Parker and Stone’s investment in this and can’t wait to visit. It really is like restoring a national landmark. I’m grateful we still have people like Parker and Stone kicking around doing good stuff like this.
More like cultural appropriation combined with cultural vandalism.
The cost to eat there isn't prohibitive at all. $35 a plate. Make a reservation
Casa Bonita is AWESOME! I toured it when it was closed in ‘21. The gift shop was still open and the tour was all inclusive. It’s fantastic that Matt & Trey are restoring and keeping this landmark open.
Bust or boom, Trey and Matt are restoring a Denver cultural icon! I haven't been since I was a kid, and now I'd love to take my kids there soon as well. Thank you guys for South Park, thank you for Team America and thank you for saving Casa Bonita!
I grew up in Tulsa and we had one here too. It was an amazing place. The food was not the best, but it was better than most people say. It was mostly an all-you-can-eat situation where you had a tray with one of everything on it to start with. And yes, you raised the flag at the table for soapapillas & refills!
It got to the point where they were charging obscene amounts to eat there. No one COULD go.
So Matt & Trey- when you're done there, come re-do ours!
You are not going to that stop lying
I wonder if it's treated as a landmark if there could be a designation as a landmark? They should look into that!
I grew up in Thornton Colorado in the 70s and Casa Bonita was my absolute favorite place to go! The cliff divers, the haunted cave, the fake jail cells, and the food! I'm 53 and I haven't been back for 40 years... I think I'll book a flight! Thanks guys!
Be ready to spend an arm and a leg. $35 a plate plus a tip. Make a reservation
@@AllTheBestCO hey its worth it

I went to Casa Bonita in the summer of 1977 after a ten day backpacking trip. It was amazing. Glad to see someone is saving this place. I hope they can keep it going and make it successful.
My name is Denver. My parents were highschool sweethearts from Arvada, Colorado, and they eventually ended up in Texas, where I was born and raised. But we would visit my grandparents in Arvada, Colorado maybe twice a year, and going to Casa Bonita was a certainty of the itinerary. The arcade, the photo booths, interacting with the wandering actors, buying costumes, braving the skull cave- the gorilla waterfall diving sketch that played out every hour- it was fantastic- we'd spend like 4 hours there every time. Casa Bonita was so important to me and my three other siblings growing up. Fond memories to this day. I hope it's still there.
My parents were divorced when I was a kid and my dad lived out in Colorado at the time; whenever the day came for my brother and I to fly back home, Dad and our grandparents would take us to go eat and play at Casa Bonita before heading to the Denver Airport. I was devastated when I learned it closed, but was overjoyed to hear that Matt and Trey bought it. I've always loved Matt and Trey, but now I love them even more for this 😍
If you’re a Colorado kid, you’re memories of Casa Bonita are solidly the best thing ever. Trey and Matt know from their childhood.
If I ever have an opportunity to thank them in person for preserving it for my children I most certainly will. 😊
You won't have the opportunity, don't worry :)
*your
My mom took me here in 1995. Thanks so much for making sure others can enjoy this place guys.
I got to go there a few times coming up. Took my kids there years ago. So delighted they saved and improved it. Thank you Matt and Trey!
I had my 5th and 10th birthdays at Casa Bonita, it was such a huge part of my childhood
I'm glad this wasn't just a joke. I went to that place several times as a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s, and it was a pretty fun experience. Would've been a shame to lose something so unusual and interesting.
Went there when it first opened, with my classmates, in the 70’s. I was in junior high. It was fun & magical! Great memory 😊
Those guys are national treasures.
So nice that these two buddies, after building an entertainment empire, are still two buddies at heart and work together.
I absolutely love everything these guys do. They just cannot fail.
These guys have always made me laugh, but what really impressed me was the season that South Park became gentrified. OMG. I was living in the Casa Bonita neighborhood, and that was my life. It means a lot that people who care about Colorado are investing in the neighborhood and just creating some joy for everyone.
Beeb there so many times when my son was growing up he is now 35 he has never forgotten casa bonita TY for coming back.🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🦋
Casa Bonita is one of my favorite episodes of SP.
I just recently found out that it was and now back is a real place.
Definitely visiting it next time I am in the states.
I went to my friends birthday party there for the first time in 1972. I couldn't understand why everyone was so excited about going to a restaurant in Denver, but I soon found out. I've went back several times, and in the 90's I took my nephew and niece there, but the food had gotten really bad, so it's good to hear they are going to improve it.
I grew up in denver and remember how special Casa Bonita was. I would fly home to re-visit this place and see what they've done to restore it. The last time I went there was 20 years ago, and the food was so bad that it was literally inedible. You take your food to your table and just leave it there, uneaten. Would've made more sense for them to just charge admission instead of making you buy that slop just to throw it away.
This warms my heart! I remember as a kid waiting for what felt like hours to get in to this place to eat. I went before Covid, and you could tell the restaurant was in its last legs. This place is sooo iconic and nostalgic, I’m glad they are bringing it back
My heroes and idols. I can remember watching the first episode, I wad in 3rd grade and remember my older brother coming to get me and we snuck downstairs to watch it 😅 miss you little big brother RIP
Thank you so much for giving back to your community and making something everyone can come enjoy!
Most of the places I enjoyed or have fond memories of from the 90s and 00s are either gone or renovated/repurposed beyond recognition. I cant even put into words how cool it is to have ONE place that holds so many special memories to me be preserved by Matt and Trey! What srand up freiken guys, i am so excited to visit soon
I cannot wait to visit when you guys open!!!!!! I visited Denver for a concert and was thinking about casa Bonita the whole time!
We lost the Casa Bonita in Little Rock, AR years ago. It was my first job at 14yo.
As a Colorado native I remember going to casa Bonita as a child
cant thank you enough for doing this. Ive been in love with this place since a day back in 2001 my brother showed me its existence while visiting him on my way home from living in California.
Matt and Trey were the only human’s that successfully communicated to the Merkel’s how they were actually being perceived. And they changed their marketing, thank god.
I love their devotion to Colorado humor. My dad started taking us to Casa Bonita back in 1992 when we moved to Parker.
These 2 gentlemen are national treasures and must be protected at all cost
Are you still reading dr. suess? Wake up
I moved to Utah this year and I’m so happy I’m within a days drive to Casa Bonita.
This was a childhood memory of mine, too! My fam and I were just there about three years ago to reminisce.
We had one in Tulsa Oklahoma too. So many amazing memories
I was able to go last night with the family. Really a great experience!
Are early tickets already being fulfilled?! I gotta go eat at Casa Bonita 🤩
I'm glad they incorporate so much of life as a kid in Colorado into their stories and even go the extra mile to preserve some of it.
The fact they feel like making episodes is is not only fun but HEALTHY after doing it for so long is an awesome thing to hear.
I thought this restaurant was just something made for the tv show. Now that I know it actual exists I want to visit it so badly. It looks like a great place to bring your family.
I have going there since a kid in the 1970s, then I took my kids there numerous times in the '90s and 2000s. We never tired of it, always loved going there, and spent hours there each time. For my family, it truly is a very memorable part of our lives. It truly was a great place to go as a family. Two of my cousins worked there, way back in their teen years.
Coming from Houston and being a life-long fan of South Park, I will have to visit Casa Bonita if I'm ever in Denver one day.
Love them or hate them, Trey and Matt brought back a huge landmark for Denver. Also, gave people jobs and guests experiences that remind them of childhood. I just hope they sell South Park casa Bonita merch 😂
I hope they have the South Park characters like Disney World does for with Mickey and the gang. 😂
I'm from the UK but I'm tempted to fly to America just to visit the beautiful and historic Casa Bonita
Amazing. I grew up in western Colorado, went to casa Bonita one time when I was in Denver for a youth soccer tournament. This was the early 90s and I remember it to this day. I'll wait until it is less crazy but I'll certainly go again. Can't wait.
I had a vague memory of going to dinner with my grandmother as a young kid, probably around 1984. The only things that I remembered were the cliff divers and sopapillas, but no idea what it was called or if I just dreamed it. Thanks to these guys I know where it was and I hope I can take my kids someday.
First visited Casa Bonita in 1975 for a high school field trip. Can’t wait to revisit!
This closed in my early childhood and i grew up with the legendary stories but never got to see it first hand
Tulsa, OK had one and it was so awesome in the 90s. I wish it could come back.
I went there in the early nineties when my family was in CO for a ski trip. For a kid that grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, it was so very weird, awesome, and impossible to explain to friends back home.
So many great memories from the original Casa Bonita. I wish they had anonymously bought it, fixed it up, and made it great again to keep the nostalgia.
Not a Colorado native but I moved here when I was 5 and remember coming here for field trips during the summer in elementary school. Absolutely hyped it's coming back!
I love these two guys so much
I love it! Moved away 18 years ago and I still miss their sopapillas...
We need to donate when we visit such an icon. It’ll be the great way to sustain such an accomplishment. Great work guys I’ll be going to Colorado just for this! Bring me my Sopitas!
I never thought of Trey Parker and Matt Stone buying CasaBonita as a joke. They're litterally saving that place when it shut down because of Covid.
As someone who grew up in the Denver metro area from 1981-1997, I can attest that an intense love of Casa Bonita is NOT a joke. This place was magic to me from 4 to 13 (fun fact: they had a neighboring magic store until the nineties). I used to have dreams about making return visits. It was the apex of the 60’s/70’s theme restaurant trend. Casa Bonita, Celebrity Sports Center, and Cinderella City Mall were marvels of midcentury Denver. It utterly made sense when I heard about Matt Stone and Trey Parker buying it and I would’ve done the same in their position. I’m incredibly grateful and can’t wait to take my wife and daughter to Casa Bonita mk II.
Oh, Cinderella City. I loved that place.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
We’ve taken our kids and friends and family there for 30 years. So happy it’s reopening and we will be in line. The kids have it on their list for when they visit mom and dad.
Makes me miss The Mayan in South Jordan, Utah. Great memories for sure.
I haven't lived in CO for a long time but man I can still remember everything I loved about casa bonita down to the smell of it. I'm so glad it's going to live on.
I was just in that area 2 months ago and never though this was there, next time i go to Colorado im seeing this place
I have alot of great memories in the 70s and 80s at Casa Bonita and the Organ Grinder pizzeria
My ex lived in colorado until she was 10, when this episode came on she was like "oh i love that place" i was like "OMFG THIS IS A REAL PLACE!??!?!?" lol
I used to go there as a kid, I'm glad they reopened it because even when it was going 'downhill' it was a beautiful place. Sure, it was downtrodden, but a 5 year old doesn't know that, now that I'm in my twenties I'll still have joy for that place.
We had a Casa Bonita in Tulsa Okla and everyone loved it!! Wish they would restore ours too ❤
Growing up in Denver, been to Casa Bonita many, many times between 1978 and 1998. I never thought the food was as bad as some others might say, but then I've always enjoyed Mexican TV dinners...Great memories. Thanks Matt and Trey!
I went and ate here as a kid. I remember the actors having a gunfight and one actor falling into the water after getting shot. It was awesome!
I wish them all the best and I hope to get the chance to visit it someday
I got to go there in 2016! So glad they bought it and brought it back to life!
True heroes, I love them SO SO much!♥️ so many great memories CB.⛲️🏰
I had a bunch of birthdays at casa bonitas and it was eventually my first ever official job i never knew it was closing but its cool to see they saved it considering it was a big part of my first 16 years
I love that they bought it!! You guys are legends! I hope the future kids can truly enjoy the place!
I grew up going to Casa Bonita in 90’s-00’s. Had many a birthday there, so when south park did the episode it always felt so special as a Denver born resident. Sadly I was gentrified from my home town.
Yes!!! Casa Bonita was glorious as a kid! I loved going there in the 80s..just like they said it was exotic! I love that they are reopening it!!❤
I remember going to the Casa Bonita locations in both Tulsa and Little Rock late 70's and 80's as a kid then a few times in Little Rock in the 90's as an adult before it closed and became another Mexican food place. Always excited about going and fond memories.
I have so many memories of Casa Bonita from the early 90s, I am so glad it was saved.
I was smiling throughout this whole thing. I hope you all have a great day.
I freaking loved the Casa Bonita episode, and I had no idea that place actually existed 😆
My brother, sister and I used to go to Denver to see family. The only thing we looked forward to was Casa Bonita. Bless, you Matt & Trey!!!
I group up in colorado thru the whole 1990s n early 2000's and casa bonitas was always our birthday restaraunt of choice! It was amazing!!
I'm not in Colorado but I'm definitely taking my whole family here on a vacation weekend!!!
Well done. Congratulations from Brazil.
I was in Colorado while it was closed I'm so sad, I want to go so bad!
Legend status unlocked with Casa Bonita access. For real, this is incredible they are preserving a childhood memory for all to experience now...amazing
I went to Casa Bonita in the late '70s as a kid in Denver. It was amazing. The divers blew my mind.
We are from Alabama, and keep checking the udates, this is on our bucket list.
Wholesome 💯
So happy to hear this because I was convinced I was never going to see Casa Bonita in person.
I went to casa Bonita when I was younger sometimes. So glad they redid the food
The best projects- are the ones that are fun to imagine! You guys are .. we are not worthy.. we are not worthy! Thank you guys for existing!
I went here a few years back with a friend when I visited Denver for the first time (and I lived in Colorado all my life) and it was awesome experience the building and the inside is so cool
I loved going there as a kid - glad they took it over.
I love that you guys did this. I can’t wait to visit. You salvaged my childhood ❤
This makes the casa bonita episode so much better
Casa Bonita was my childhood delight. I celebrated my seventh birthday there. 😊
About time. Glad to see that
