Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

Yes . . everyone continue support 'The' Bee and her Theo!!
Be well you two and your kittehs n' chicks.
We thank God that you are both safely back to your land. Please remember to take it easy Bee. No pressure. Simply enjoy the journey. We wish you all the best đđčđ»
People use black tanks for their water. It keeps the algae away.
What about the pool area? I thought you had an open-air shower there?
Theo and Bea, welcome back, l am so glad to see you both on your land, working, really l am hooked on your videos, seing your cats roam free, they must be thinking, YEAH, finally home, running around, my God how beautiful fruits yo u have. The barn is beautiful, l hope by christmass, you can be moving. You both are such hard working people, the tiles of your chicken pool, if you got mold you can cleaned with vinegar and painted with terracotta color. Also l easy searching on the internet that in Portugal winter time is brutal, not like in England, and stone homes in Portugal, get moisture and humid inside, they tried to take the heat out, not in, well you both are smart enough to find out. So again welcome back , and thank you for your wonderful videos, Cherios......
Your "abandoned stone barn" is no longer that. It has turned into a beautiful home, not quite done but sooo close. Not much left for it to be so charming. Great job. So nice to see you "back home".
The best part of this video was definitely hearing and seeing B back in rhythm with the land, I'm not sure if you are T total but prickly pear wine is really nice.
So glad to see and hear Bea. So glad sheâs feeling better. Glad youâre back home and I can continue watching the barn build.
Amazing to see you both happy back home! Iâm Mexican and what you call âprickly pearâ, in Mexico we call âtunaâ, the cactus leave & plant itself we call ânopalâ (it is actually to be found in our flag). Thereâs plenty of amazing recipes for both. You can pick the tuna with a fork and slice both edges (top/bottom) then slightly cut trough the hard and spiky belly of the fruit. At the end you can use a spoon to scoop out the core of the fruit and enjoy! With nopal itâs always good, either raw or cooked! I hope you will like it as much as I do! Good luck and enjoy!
In Africa we also call it prickly pear
In Australia prickly pears are an environmental weed. So I had no idea they were edible.
Here in the American Southwest, we make jelly and syrup from the cactus fruit đ
@@suzipam1234 true, in Afrikaans we call it a turksvy/truksvy.
Roughly translate to a sort of fig. (don't know where the word "turk/truk" originated from
Love the prickley pear.
Ohhhh Bee, I'm so glad to see your sweet smiling face. You're an answer to prayer. Theo is a keeper. When he first let us know about you being I'll, Theo started telling us what you mean to him and how much he loved you. Wow not a dry eye around. What a precious couple you are.
I'm happy you're back.
Stay Blessed, Safe and Healthy

So glad to see you back in Portugal. Hearing Bee laugh in the lake brought tears to my eyes đ„Č. Looking forward to more videos, you guys are so fun to watch đ
I agree totally. It warmed the cockles of my heart to see Bee back to her normal laughing self. đ
Make Apple Butter! You cook it down with sugar as preservative.
Oh it makes my heart so happy to see Bee back on camera, smiling and laughing. I know self care and mental well-being is an ongoing thing, but to see this was so heart warming. Welcome back you two. Much love and gratitude to you both for sharing your hard work and beautiful home with us â€ïžđđ»đ
What a beautiful day for me watching Bee & Theo on the farm, and seeing, beautiful Gingey Bear & Fernando enjoying their old stomping grounds! Good to see you back! When I watch your blog, I am smiling through the whole video. I just can't get enough of you guys. You brighten up my day, completely! Love You Allâ€
Your so caring making sure that farmers goat was ok, he must of been so happy when he found out what lovely neighbours his herd had đ So happy guys your back home & all that fruit, I would be in heaven, enjoy⊠And yes I giggled too when that strap slapped Theo in the chops đ
Slap shtick đ
I thought the same, it might be nice to offer to let him graze his goats where you have lots of weeds. They are also great for pruning the low branches of trees.
@@crazycloud2 I know they have spoken about having their own goats for the land, maybe he would give them a couple!
I'm stoked for you two. You're HOME! The cats are doing their cat thing and all is well with them. Bee, I know I speak for thousands of your viewers when I say Welcome back to your Portugal Life. It's wonderful to see your smiling face. Take it slow for a while, let Theo get things done as he sees fit. Theo, you're a true Blessing and Bee is fortunate to have you for a partner in life. We'll keep you both in our prayers and thoughts as you forge ahead and get into your stone cottage by Christmas. I feel better just knowing you're better Bee. We love you both,!đđ±đ±đđđđđ
Amen!
I can only agree with the warm words.
It's so wonderful to see bee smile again. I am happy for both of them that they are back home. At home in Portugal. Greetings from Germany
I am so incredibly proud of you Bee! I deal with anxiety, depression, and ptsd and I know how hard it can be to get back on your feet. So I just am so proud of you and I thank you so much for sharing your struggles with us!!!! Xoxo
I just want to cry after watching this video. Iâm so happy to hear and see more of Bea in this video. WE LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Iâm starting to feel all is right with the world after watching this. Itâs been a tough week mentally and this video gives me that warm comfortable feeling as if Iv arrived home too đ„°
Same here. I have been ill for awhile and feel so much better now. â€ïž
So very good to see Bees face and hear her laugh!!! I'm praying for you both! Fantastic to see you home! God bless you!
I know how you feel. It was lovely seeing both Bee and Theo looking so happy. Take care, you are not alone, we will get through this.
me too!!
@@debrandw246 I completely agree. I was wondering, while watching this particular update, what has me so much more literally craving to see what Bee and Theo do next and it finally dawned on me - watching the turmoil around the world, I already know - and have known for a long time, what they are doing - relearning how to homestead and be independent from the tyranny is seriously becoming our best option. In many ways, they are giving us direction.
The best partâŠyou and Bea, walking hand in hand, at the beginning of the video, with huge smiles, and the beautiful clear, dark blue fall sky as a back drop! Aahhh, so good to be home again!
Absolutely! So nice to see you both, and the cats, enjoying being back. What a fantastic idea to make the weekly commitment to go to the lake, thus ensuring the necessary time off from work. So, so jealous to see those fruit...
Good to see you both back and hope Bea recovery continues to progress. Re: prickly pears you can make jams and chutneys, there is so much fruit on the land have you thought of making produce and selling it, oranges in syrup, candied fruits chutneys jams fresh juices preserved whole fruits which are great for baking and gifts.
Thank you for taking us with you on your journey. We look forward to more! đ
So nice to see Bea! Just glimpses make my heart happy. Still sending love and light to you both!!
I don't know what I found more amusing, the smile on your face is you showed us the land, or Bee just laughing and looking so happy. Lol A great picker upper video and I appreciate that. I think I needed thatâŠ
Question: How do you guys do your laundry?
she has a little mobile unit.......she explains it all in one of their videos
@@evawilson6735 oh! I must have either missed that 1 or come in after it. Thank you. :)
So good to see Bea back doing what she does best, being amazing .
So glad to see you both home. After watching Bea clean the coup I had a feeling you were headed to your lake. Just so happy for your health and happiness. Take care dear ones!đ€
Seeing Bee relaxed and laughing in the lake made my heart sing. Welcome back gorgeous. X
It's nice to see that you have your truck back after being in the shop for a few months and your barn should look awesome after being finished pointing. Also, I am happy for you both back at your property in Portugal.
Thanks
I am SO HAPPY to see you two back in Portugal on your fabulous property and back to your wonderful lifestyle with your beloved cats and hens, fruit and lake and caring for an injured goat.. I live this dream with you every inch of the way. Im an old girl now , 75, but old enough to know the enormous value of the life style you have chosen to create for yourselves and the value that has for all of us. So THANKYOU and WELCOME HOME BEE. Wonderful to see you back on boardđđđ€ Love from New Zealand xx xx
It was so awesome to see Beaâs lovely smile again. Happy that youâre both home safely đ„°đ„°
Bee - it is wonderful to see you back on your land. Your presence is a beautiful ray of sunshine. Much love and my best to you and Theo always.
Gingy Bear the Queen of her land. She looks so happy. And little Fernando. I love him so. So glad to see you both so happy being back at your home.
I can't believe how strong Bee is! Mentally and physically! You go girl!
Seeing Bee laughing on todayâs video made all of us so happy.đ
You made me hungry for fresh fruit! Bee has a wonderful sense of style from the way she dresses to how she has decorated your temporary home. She is an artist for sure. I really admire the way she dresses. I am hoping to find some similar styles for myself.
May the Almighty Creator keep you both in His love always. So happy to see Bee's beautiful smile.đ
Welcome home! It's so wonderful to see Bea back home. She is beautiful inside and out. She's such a blessing.
THE TRUCK!!!!!!! Gingi and Fernando are happy to be home, great to see Bea out and about and excited for Theo, he has his truck back!
Bâs laugh brought tears of joy to my eyes. How a 61 yr old man from North America can be brought to tears by your voices shows how much you are truly loved around the world. Carry on mates, carry on.
Such a wonderful surprise to see todayâs video. So happy for both of you that you are back on your beautiful land and future home. Bea, itâs been quite a journey for you and I pray that you will feel total restoration now that you have had medical care. You both look wonderful..take good care of each other. đđđâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Great to see Bee back on the screen. I hope your recovery is going well. Both of you need to make sure you're taking time off from filming more frequently as no-one works 24/7 so you shouldn't be expected to. Your mental health is more important than getting out videos. Take care of yourselves first!
How wonderful to see Bea smiling and out in the sunshine. Lots of love and virtual hugs Bea. Be gentle, go slowly.
You're HOME!! So good to see you both looking so well, and not to give you another project -- but with all that produce on your land, I see a root cellar at some point in your future, or at least a place to keep the things you start to can. BIG hugs from Maine!
Ooo! I'd love to see you make some prickly pear lemonade and/or jam! I'm super interested to see the process of how you make them not little weapons of doom, I saw lots of suggestions on how to do it but can't verify which is the safest way for your paws.
So great to see you both back, you're amazing humans and your videos are a little Ray of sunshine each week. Amazing job on the coop, Bea! Those are gonna be some happy chooks for sure.
Can we get an update on the goat next week? I hope they are okay! You're both so sweet for staying with them.
Thank you! Will do we are trying to find out how the goat is đ
Oohhh yeah prickly pear lemonade, can't wait to see that . I imagine the process will be interesting to watch. I hope the goat is OK, yeah an update when you have one would be good. đ

Itâs hard to put into words how much I enjoyed this video. The photography is just beautiful, the hard work from you two, the cats playing, picking the fruit, the truck running and so on. Love seeing yâall back in Portugal.
So happy to hear Bee's laughter and cheerful voice again, I have missed you. Glad you're both home again, Love you Bee and Theo!!!!!
Our two Tortise love prickly pear fruit, one of their favorite foods. The kitties look so happy, almost as happy as Theo is. So glad to see Bee .
You need to get a freeze dryer. Takes much less to store the preserved food and reconstitutes and taste like fresh fruit when you use it later.
Iâm so glad you are all back home lovely to see Bea smile again and the cats look so happy to be back canât wait to see you in your new home though I love the caravan đ
So nice to see you both back home, laughing, and settling in.
I have happy tears in my eyes! Itâs so good to see you all back on your land. I was holding it together until I saw cats rolling around enjoying themselves đđđđđ.
Please remember not to work so many hours and to take time out for yourselves, itâs so important. WELCOME HOME! Sending love and big hugs to you both. Mo, UK. (Fellow brummie! Lol ) xxx đđđ
So wonderful to see Bea back in front of the camera as her smile and positivity was greatly missed. Onwards and upwards for you both.
Oh Bea! I love seeing your beautiful face back on my screen! Know you are loved. You are cherished. So happy you are taking care of you. Theo you are one heck of a man. Thank you for taking such good care of her! đ„°
Bee did a wonderful space for you to live in while working on the barn, your very talented Beeđ
In a world where normal feels like a distant memory, it's so nice to see your lives getting back to normal! That lake really does look lovely, enjoy it please - for the rest of us. :) Lastly, any news on the front door for your cottage? I was thinking you've been gone for some time - am hoping it'll be ready for you soon.
Great to see Theo and Bee back on the farm. With all challenges you guys were faced with. You weathered that storm and hopefully you are on the road moving forward into your dream home very soon. I make it a point everyday to say to any person " I love you" to reassure to the person that we care. Today , Harriet and I (Jim) are reaching out to Bee. We love you! Theo, Be Well

I am so happy to see you both back on the land. And NOW finishing your beautiful home you have worked so hard to build.
Much love to both of you as you put your lives back in order!

Happy to see you both home. Poor goat. Hope he/she recovers. Bea looks wonderful.
You can make applesauce or apple butter. Apple butter is easy as applesauce. Just cook in slow cooker Or crockpot until brown in colour and deliciously sweet. Great as a spread on toast etc
Hi Bee and Theo. You really are living "in heaven on earth". The breathtaking beauty and tranquility all around, fluffy Gingey and svelte Fernando. I wish I could pick some of that delicious fruit through the screen, especially the green figs (my absolute favourite)! Stay healthy, beautiful couple.
Lovely to see you home, and such a treat to see Bee on film. I hope youâre continuing to take good care of yourselves, youâre both precious people to your followers. We want to see you thrive and Bee, we will still be here whenever youâre ready âșïž
Bea, You are a strong amazing woman. The story of your journey with mental health is going to help so many when you are ready to share it. Know that you have people cheering for you all over the world. Your transformation from where you started is visible just like your home. You got this.

I'm a 60 year old grandma from Germany and I don't understand much English and I had to google a lot. But I always understood one thing, the great love between Theo and Bee, because you can empathize. I am so happy that you are back home. I send you two a very warm hug and take it easy.
Would be amazing to see you lean the canning process and have lots of food security.
Preserving fruit would be awesome. So excited for you.

Welcome back to your paradise. Loved GingeyBear happily rolling around like she was marking her territory again. I'm sure Furnando is up to his old tricks again. Lovely to see you and Bea enjoying your home once again. Take care.
Seeing you guys holding hands and smiling made my day.

Yay for getting the chickens back soon. I was wondering. It's so nice seeing the barn again. And spots like the lake are so great and hard to come by. Glad you have an area like that.

This video really lifted my heart so much. Such a total joy to see you both, literally, reaping the " FRUITS " of you labour and love. The positivity of you both being back HOME where you belong :-) and your enthusiasm for life, as it is meant to be lived, is so inspiring. Fernando and Gingy Bear seem to be really happy to be back on their territory too.The break back in the UK has obviously helped recharge your batteries and helped the lovely Bee with her challenges ( our love and support to her always ) Theo, I have never met you, in person brother, but you are definitely my kind of man. Great to see you guys back at the Portuguese homestead. The house looks beautiful and I know you two will soon be decorating the inside. Enjoy your return, and best wishes on moving forward in your projects.
Welcome back guys. Your land is so beautiful, especially this time of year when the sun leaves that warm glow over everything. I love autumn. You two both work so hard but what a reward to end the day in that stunning lake. You've really found an amazing place to live. We really are lucky to be coming along with you on your journey. Thank you x
Lovely to see you both back home. Just a thought, I bought a dehydrator and use it for excess apples etc. It takes a while peeling them all but so worth it. Save any jars to reuse to store them in. Your home looks amazing, I love it all. Seeing it again reminds me of just how much work youâve done. Look after yourselves and remember to take time out and relax. If you donât get a video out, weâll still be here. All the very best đ
Or you could dry them in the sun or in an oven.
Turn your passat into a dehydrator! Slice your apples and place them on screens and let them dry out in the car.đ
Lovely to see you back on the land. And to hear Bee laugh again. You do a great job Theo, holding it all together. Greetings from Australia.â„
Ahhh home sweet home! We hope Bea continues to make progress and things go right for you both. You have so much fruit you need a press, make your own apple juice. Oh and cider apple vinegar! The pair of you have such energy and enthusiasm, you deserve to be very happy.
Off to a great start! Coming home to all that beautiful fruit, the barn/house in tact and looking great, getting the truck back and the engine work free, TWO new water storage containers, the chicken coop cleaned out and ready for the hens and rooster, and that beautiful lake to serve as a backup shower/bathtub has to feel reassuring!!! (Wouldn't hold anyone to that promise to swim in the lake all year long, especially in the cold weather, but our state has several groups that take a leap in the ocean every New Years.) Hope the goat is all right. And can't wait to see where you go from here!
Theo, one of my happiest childhood memories is walking through the apple orchard with my grandpa and picking a sun warmed apple directly off the tree. You made my mouth water. Bee, it is lovely to see you bustling around the farm again. Sending you a warm Niagara hug. God Bless and Welcome Home.
