Lemon Bar Fragrance Oil is a sweet, tart, and buttery fragrance that smells just like the real thing. It inspired this cold process soap project - the layers resemble the crust and filling of a lemon bar, and titanium dioxide mimics powdered sugar on top.

🍋 Lemon Bar Soap Recipe:
12 Bar Silicone Square Mold
2.1 oz. Mango Butter (5%)
16.8 oz. Olive Oil (40%)
10.5 oz. Palm Oil (25%)
10.5 oz. Coconut Oil (25%)
2.1 oz. Jojoba Oil (5%)
5.8 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Lye
11.7 oz. Distilled Water (10% water discount)
2.5 oz. Lemon Bar Fragrance Oil
Yellow Mica
Brown Oxide
Titanium Dioxide
Lemon Bar Fragrance Oil does discolor to a light tan. This isn't a concern for the brown layer, but does slightly discolor the yellow layer. A touch of titanium dioxide helps combat this and retain more of the yellow color. But keep in mind, the bars will slightly discolor. We think the delicious smell of the fragrance is completely worth it!

I am loving all of my items I have been buying from Brambelberry! I’ve been having so much fun and I have been posting my finished products on my Instagram. I told my husband I really want to try soap and this project looks great to start! I have been crafting almost everyday. I have lupus so I was forced into early retirement and I have enjoyed your videos and making items from them. I have to order these ingredients because I love lemons 🍋 !!! #brambleon!

Yummy
They are super pretty just like little cakes
I make this recipe but i use a different fragrance oil and mica. Its so luxurious.
I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge AND your products!! I am curious, do you throw away the remaining brown oxide that you have premixed? I try not to waste any of my ingredients, but it is hard to know exactly how much you will need to premix. Just ordered my mold and fragrance and I am going to try this Lemon Bar project this weekend!!
WOW
Is this comparable to Lemon Curd by Rustic Essentuals? I’m trying to find a similar scent. Thanks
vous êtes adorable marie
Where can I get that wonderful mixing bowl?
Hi, these soaps are so "delicious" that I'll have to make them tomorrow. I can see that 25% of coconut goes according to the recipe, and I put 15% in my recipes and it dries my skin again. I work with super fat and castor and shi butter but not worth it. Ph is ok. Do you have any advice, I would be very grateful? May I still lower my PH by adding citric acid?
Hi @brambleberry how can I incorporate fresh herbs from my garden into the soaps?
this inspired me to make actual lemon bars
It seriously looks exactly the name! I’m hoping we can eventually have smell-o-vision! Lol. Hope you, your children & parents and are doing well through these times.
I love your tutorials and products. Thank you! quick question: what oil can I substitute the palm oil for. I am not using palm oil anymore because of the environmental issues. Can you recommend a substitute? Many thanks!
Only real subtitute is lard or tallow they have the saponifacation value
@@jemimahkendall6579 do cold press process. Skip saponification. You can still use the lemon fragrance oil uses shea butter and you'll get a better soap then this
I have a question when you use titanium dioxide on the top doesn't that mess with the skin?
This channel has become part of our homeschooling
You're also so right after watching some of her videos I became so interested in soap making and now I'm proud to say I'm almost a pro
What kind of stick blender are you using?
Newbie here. Could I use this fragrance oil and colorings in a MP soap? I would like to make them for friends to use soon vs the aging time needed for CP.
Gail M yes you can use any fragrance oil in melt & pour
Thanks so much!
Do you have any recipes for color changing hand soap to teach kids to wash hands?
Great content here thank you.... Was going to ask if one must use Sodium Lactate. What’s the benefit of it.
Sodium lactate hardens cold process soap so you can unmold and enjoy it more quickly. You can also use it in lotion to draw moisture to the skin, or in hot process soap to make it more fluid and smooth. It's not required, but it's very handy to use in soapmaking!
@@bramble-berry thank you so much for the quick response I truly appreciate it.
Does the addition of sodium lactate cause more soda ash? I'm using a water discount with my sodium lactate and I'm also spraying my tops with 99% rubbing alcohol but I'm finding I get SO much soda ash after I cut my bars.
The sodium lactate shouldn't cause more soda ash, we have an article with tips on preventing soda ash, here's the link: www.brambleberry.com/how-to/soap/art0034-explaining-and-preventing-soda-ash.html 💜
Thank you for the great information, I am new to this wonderful hobby; Could you help me with recipes based on natural ingredients like Lemon & Aloe Vera, and others. Essential oils are very expensive where I live; Can I just use natural lemon instead?
I've just begun making soaps and have made about 200 sOaps so far. I tried the exact same measurements with the exact same ingredients. I got the lye to 29c and oils to 24c ( because my country temperature is 30c and above). Still my batter traces so fast I have to be on my toes once I add the lye and sodium lactate mixture. I've done many batches of soaps all successful but speeded up. I even tried adding fragrances/ essential oils last, just before pouring. I am unable to work with layers and swirls. Please help me figure out the reason of it speeding up.
How long does it takes to cure
Question, did you say you put powdered sugar with the titanium dioxide. Or just the Titanium alone that looks like powered sugar?
The titanium dioxide looks like powdered sugar, sorry for the confusion!
Anne-Marie has anyone ever told you that you look just like Tamra Judge from Real Housewives of Orange County? You two favor so much!
Please I kind of confuse, recipe says 10% water discount, means the superfat? (sorry I am supposed to keep knowledge in mind) thank you
Super fat is the amount of extra oils in the recipe not water.
@@bramble-berry thank you I searched for the subject in your website and learned what it is and how to calculate it (water discount) pros and cons, very clear,, thank you again :)
Hi ,
I tried to make soap many times but I never reached to the trace , and the oils always separated , could you help me please where is the mistake.
Thank you
um mansor Check out this video. Very informative. This channel is very informative as well. czcams.com/video/o_VCYiDmOJs/video.html
Maybe you need to stickblend it a little bit longer. Just try to get to medium/ thick trace first, and as you make more soaps go to medium/thin trace and so on. It took me making 30+ soaps to finally reconising I was at emulsion (the step before getting a thin trace)
So, um, how many calories are these? LOL Seriously, beautiful bars!
Mandar todos los ingredientes
How much of sodium lactate did you place in the lye?
We used 2.5 teaspoons of sodium lactate to help the soap harden and unmold more quickly.
Thank you, Can sodium lactate be used in all my soap recipes?
@@Lovestgroup It can be used in cold process, hot process, and lotions. For more information on how to use sodium lactate in your recipes, you can visit this article: www.brambleberry.com/articles/ingredient-information/art0191-all-about-sodium-lactate.html
Bring bramble berry to India :(
Where to find the recipe?
Brambleberry.com
Well my batch was a. Disaster. It was going great until I put the fragrance in. I poured in the fragrance and started blending and the batch got hard on me. It was awful. It was hard and soft/hot. So I mixed with a spoon and placed the. Lumpy batter in the mold. The smell is amazing. Well try again and this time I will not mix as much once I place the fragrance in.
Please make company product at home with their same ingredients written in product
Could I have the recipe?
You mean the same recipe that’s listed in the description box?
Do you accept orders from Europe?
Where are you from? You could order it from YouWish.nl, it's based in The Netherlands and they sell a lot of fragrance oils from Brambleberry💟 Maybe it will save you some shipping costs. At their shop they named it citroen cake (lemon cake).

R you a professional?i need some suggestions...how can i contact with you?
Hi Anna Marie, I loved all your videos so much that I have started my own cold soap making. I request you to send me recipes for oils such as Safflower oil, Sunflower oil, Ground nut oil, coconut oil and sesame oil since these are the oils readily available to me locally. I will be grateful to you if you can share some recipes for the above mentioned oils.
Thanks,
Vijay
Whoever keeps disliking these videos kindly move along.
Where’s the recipe
What are the measurements of these soap bars.
Julia McDonough 2.6 L x 2.75 W x 1.25 H. 4.9oz
Hmm. You skipped exactly the part I need. The oil part is to much for me. Like with candles, there's a a few different waxes. With soap, there seems to be trillions of oils. You could have kept in the part where you measure out the oil and just explain what each oil does
This might help. :-) www.brambleberry.com/articles/ingredient-information/art0006-beginners-guide-to-common-soapmaking-oils.html Anne-Marie also has several great books with detailed info and recipes. I'd definitely look into them. Good luck!
okay so where's the lemon? it's all just colourants!
The fragrance oil is a lemony scent
