SMA rides Akatarawa Forest Park - Three Sisters

Akatarawa Forest Park is a large expanse of forest covering the hills between the Kapiti Coast and the Hutt Valley. It is the home of the famous Karapoti Classic mountain bike race. Easiest access to Three Sisters is via Whareroa Farm, Kapiti Coast.
Three Sisters is a technical downhill track containing roots, rock faces and rock gardens. Motorcross riders have rutted out a fair bit of the track so watch derailleurs.
Although classed as a downhill track there is plenty of hike a bike especially if you miss a turn off.
