    We're almost at the end of the project. It will be up for sale on Cars and Bids or Bringatrailer.com. When it goes live, I'll post the link on my CZcams community page. If you're interested in buying the car before it goes to the auction, email me at autoanatomy@icloud.com.

    nice job! I'm always scared of doing upholstery, but this gave some encouragement! Too bad, they dont do the backseat with the fabric! it would so much better!

    Man, you're doing a great job. I had my covid vaccine yesterday and felt a bit crappy today so watched the whole series on the 924 turbo. Good on you for saving it. Love the attention to detail. Take it easy, Mark

      Thank you so much, and just remember that when you feel crappy that you're building antibodies. It's soooo worth it! And thanks again for watching the videos, this has been a fun project and I've really grown to love the transaxle Porsches!

    I did this to a 944 3 years ago and it took me a week to do carpet and seats. Hands turned to into hamburger. You did a fantastic job. The smell improvement for the car is alone worth the money spent on seats and carpet.

      Hi Sara, I’m just doing a 944 reupholster but I am a bit stuck as to how I remove the push buttons on the top rear that allow it to lay flat. I need to remove them to get the old covers off and fit new ones or did you just work around them in situ? Thanks, Rob

    Thanks Sean! I really enjoyed watching your rebuild of this car. It turned out real nice! I hope when you get settled in North Carolina, that you are able to re-do another vehicle.

    • @AutoAnatomy
      @AutoAnatomy  Před 3 lety

      That’s the plan! We’re looking to move to Greenville, SC roughly around mid-June, and then get another project ASAP! What do you think we should do next?

      @@AutoAnatomy It is difficult to pick one! I bet you will find some nice vehicles in South Carolina. I have always been a Ford guy, as my father was an engineer for them back in the day. I think I would just find something that you know parts would not be an issue, and go for that! You seem to enjoy no matter what type vehicle it is.

    Not sure if this is been said, but don’t forget to remove the hog ties that connect the metal rods to the springs of the seat. I couldn’t figure out why the rods were not coming out until I realized this and cut them loose. Thank you so much for the video!

    Hey I know this is a bit old by now, but if you still remember, did you glue the back seat bench down when you reinstalled, like they had it from the factory? If so, what kind of glue? Thanks!

    • @AutoAnatomy
      @AutoAnatomy  Před rokem +1

      Hi Mathew, sorry but I don't remember if I glued it back like the factory. I probably did, a and if so would have used either 3M Super 77 or Super 90 spray glue.

    I like the new seats! The plaid design must have been common in the late 70s early 80s. The K5 Blazers had them during this time along with other manufacturers too. Cars looking nice!!!

    Hi, great video but can you tell me how you removed the button release fittings on the top rear seat to remove the upholstery? Maybe you don’t have them on the 924 but on my 944 I have a button each side to allow top part of seat to lay flat. How do I remove these plastic fittings? Anyone? Thanks, Rob

    • @AutoAnatomy
      @AutoAnatomy  Před rokem

      Robert, I sold the car a couple years ago and honestly don't remember. You might reach out to the 924 Forum at www.924board.org/. They helped me more than I could ever repay.
