Same thing happened to me after I installed my new cooling system and kind of tested the limits of how close you can mount the fan hub to the radiator. The reason it made contact was worn strut rod bushings - after all, they're supposed to restrain front-to-back movement under braking.
What's up friend, a question: is it necessary to calibrate the mechatronics with a scanner? Greetings
Hello. I have a 2016 Tiguan and I get the p2015 code. The guy a bought the car from sent me this video. I’m trying to get him to fix cuz I paid a lot of money for this used car and the light came on after I bout the car. I showed this to someone that knows about fixing Hondas and Toyota. He took a look at my car and said this video is not for my Tiguan, it’s not diesel. Can you please advise?
I know im coming in really late here with my question, but do you remember if you needed to do anything with the heater core when removing the blower box? I am about to tackle the same job for the same reason and didnt know if i needed to prepare to drain the coolant.
Can you leave a link to the wilwood kit?
Another good video Sean. You make it fun to watch...Thanks!
Thank you!
I am always disappointed when a mechanic installs some beautiful new part on surfaces that are covered with years of dirt and crud.
Will the front suspention hold a 350 chevy engine

Thanks for this great video! My 2009 Vw golf variant/Estate Mk5 trunk/boot button is stuck in. Took it for carwash yesternight and I realized this morning that the trunk isn't opening. I'm planning to open it from the emergency lever from the inside, then investigate. Any tips?
Thank you! Not sure how to help the stuck trunk but hopefully the emergency lever will let it open.
@AutoAnatomy I'm certain it will open. Is it a given that a problem with the stuck electrical button requires the replacement of both it and the latch?
You are eventually going to want to rack and pinion steering!
Been thinking about that one. Got an idea in my head about how to use Mustang II control arms, rack & pinion on a custom crossmember.
Not sure why you can't fill the transmission from the top? Remove oil filter as you did and fill from there.
Can you get a six speed transaxle?
Not easily, sadly. Would love an overdrive!
@@AutoAnatomy Is it made for corvair and is it expensive?
@@davidkornblatt851 No, there have been people that have done a T5 swap but it is a big undertaking. Nothing easy, so far
I think if you had a five or six speed transaxle it would logically be a lot quieter at higher speeds but that unit is probably too expensive and or not made?!?
İsnt there mecatronic fluid tho?
For this model it’s specific DSG fluid
Do you know of have idea what was the engine in that red swapped corvair for sale? It so cool that he saved rear seats
It looked like a Buick/Olds 215 aluminum V8.
Hi! Could you please tell what is the exact part no of that 12.2 kit? Looking through all these kits, but there is a lot of them for different models

Those Corvair convention are so much fun. Thanks, for sharing!
Thanks for watching, and we did have a lot of fun!
good job. thank you.
Thanks!
Sean, great video as usual. Very informative and well done. I do have a question regarding your Pittsburgh transmission jack. Where did you find that? I've been unable to locate that style jack, at least online.
Thank you! It's a different color but this is the one I used: www.harborfreight.com/2000-lb-low-profile-transmission-jack-70185.html
@@AutoAnatomy Oh man. Don't tell my wife I couldn't find it, just because it was a different color. LOL! She often points out things I can't find around the house that are right where I had been looking. :o)
The way that this transmission needs to be filled, ...what a WASTE of fluid, hence going through these fill steps. ....Volkswagen? This is the best your "engineers" can do? But that said, Good video, thank you!
Thank you!
Would have been super cool if you shared the Summit Racing link to the Wilwood DynaPro kit that you used.
Here you go! www.summitracing.com/parts/wil-140-13203
Had a great time 1966 Corsia scored 97.83% Gold Award
Which car was yours?
Well, we had all that paperwork and missed a very important step. Replace the black fill plug prior to filling the transmission. It was painful to see so much of that expensive DSG fluid pouring out of the transmission after the fill😞
I did those seals 40 years ago on a Corvair 95 horse before transplanting it into my 1969 VW Bus. I remember the satisfying snap it makes when the tube slips in. Made me smile. Really enjoying your Corvair vids. I am a VW guy but also appreciate the Corvair. Have owned and driven several over the years. Love also the great Corvair engine sound.
Thanks for the kind words. I wish there was more performance support for the Corvair like there is for the VW, oh well.
I saw your car at the convention in Dayton. Sorry I didn't search you out. Would have been nice to meet you. I watch all your videos. If you went inside the hotel, I had a large model of a mid engine prototype that I put there on Tuesday. It was at the model display area. Incomplete but still in progress. I got a ride in the 3 of the best mid-engine Corvairs at the show. I think I was the only one wearing a Superman hat.
Yes, was it the LS swap one? I saw that and marveled at the idea. Would have been nice to meet you as well. One of the nicest V8 swapped cars was a grey one out of South Carolina. It was beautiful!
@@AutoAnatomy It was. It is a 1/3 scale model. A few specs: C5 Corvette frame, suspension, wheels and tires, Saginaw big car trans, C5 differential, LS engine. I have everything seen in the model in full scale. Using model as a prototype. I think the V8 swapped car you are referring to was built by Don Kasanka. It was black with a hockey stick stripe on the front fenders. LS7 engine with a Mendeola transaxle. Got to ride in it. Fantastic car.
sounds good! still has that inherent hesitation on first throttle but I believe thats from the cylinder head/intake design. iwould love to see you modify some corsa heads to have 3 intakes on each side, and then injection! Great work! I enjoy your channel!
Thank you! I have some 140 heads thanks to a subscriber and plan to do exactly that! Stay tuned
Did you feel big power or mileage gains after converting?
Not significantly more power, but the car is much more driveable with fuel injection. It starts every time, runs great and is much more reliable.
Love how you are all in on the corvairs!
It's been a fun journey, and I'd love to find another one for the channel. What would you recommend?
You should absolutely find an ultra van for the channel!!!
I found one in FL a few months ago for only 1500, and KICK myself for not getting it then.
Great episode. I’ve lived in the Cincinnati area pretty much my whole life, used to go to the museum every year with my dad. The Belle was such a perfect addition. Question- any idea of the weight of your car and trailer? Trying to configure a tow rig for a Corvair.
Thank you so much! Doing some quick looking, it looks like the trailer is 2210# and the Corvair should be around 2500#.
@@AutoAnatomy Sounds right. Love the channel!
Another great episode, well done Sean from Shaun in Norwich 🇬🇧
Thank you Shaun!

My pleasure
Sean, you mentioned that one Corvair at the show had racing style seats in it and that you liked them. Maybe a little more investigation will find them for you. Until then, some seat rebuild looks like it is in your near future. ha ha
They are Procar by Scat seats. Have been on back order for a while now but just starting to come back into stock recently
Great video, thanks for sharing!! Glad you came to the convention!
We had a great time!
Great video. I saw quite a few Michigan people in the background!. I was hoping you would take your Corvair on the auto cross course, maybe next time?
Next time!
Thanks so much for sharing the great trip. What a great event. Maybe mid-engine next project.. lol.. Take Care, enjoy and waiting for next post.
Who knows… 😎
I was putting a turbo 3.8L Buick v6 into the rear seat area with a manual shift PG trans . It got stolen in Florida(long story) so I never got to complete it despite having all the parts but one. What was cool was that it would not be noticeable in the back seat area. Sweet 350hp sleeper 'Vair LOL. I had plans to nitrous it also for another 100 hp burst at the drag strip. Would have been a sweet '65 Corsa for sure.
I've seen 4.3 swapped Vairs but never a turbo 3.8 swap. That would be a lot of fun!
The hugger orange corsa that was for sale was my favorite corvair of the show, I owned a Lakewood also , it now lives in Tennessee.
The white 500 that was shaved and emblems painted belonged to Jim Allen , his son owns it now. He’s one of the best corvair builders you will ever meet, great man.
That was one of the cleanest I’ve seen in a long time. My dad and I drooled over that car for way too long!
@@AutoAnatomy he has a Lakewood with a 140 hp that is just as impressive.
That’s on my bucket list, a Lakewood with 140 and AC
@@AutoAnatomy I’ve owned a few 140 hp cars and the only knock on them is the valve seats . I am a believer that the 110hp is bulletproof, never had an issue with them, but the 140 are fun😎💪

Sean, I'm wondering if you could swap the right side seat with left side seat. I had a Pinto and the driver's side seat needed a new cover./ I switched the two and it worked super.
I'm not sure, but it's worth a shot! Ultimately they need replacement.
Get rid of them seats
Workin on it!
You could have bought some $10.00 seat cushions and made the trip. Yes, get an ultra van since they only made just over 300 of them LOL. I bet it wouldn't come cheap though . Glad to have seen Pops back in action.
I saw one pop up in Florida not too long ago for 1500. Wish I would have picked it up!

Great video. Thanks for sharing this trip with us. Your videos never disappoint me. This will definitely be a I will watch again and again
Thanks buddy! It was a great time
My favorite part of any Corvair meet is caravanning with other Corvairs. That white 500 was definitely a sweet looking bit of work. How nice that you were able to reconnect with the Memphis Belle again! Glad you and your dad had a good time together.
The caravan was a bit disjointed with a lot of stop & go traffic, but we all got there in one piece. I really was pretty emotional spending time with the plane, as it holds such importance to us as a country and to me personally.
Beautiful cars, great trip with Dad, great museum, congrats from Santo André/Brazil. (I loved Memphis Belle)The green Lakewood is beautiful)
