- The ideal of a car interior, in the eighties that was a black cave. Chrome was the most uncool thing imaginable.
The interior of my 87 Carrera was beginning to show some wear and tear - with little time left to react to protect it from further decay. I repaired some holes and broken seams, touched up the leather and sealed it all for the years to come, seat rails and brackets were repainted.
ColourLock products such as Liquid Leather ("Flüssigleder") and Colour Fresh were instrumental to get the job done.

Wonderful! Thank you so much for this video- especially your repair of the leatherette vertical door edges.
Another great production you can be proud of - right balance of visual & commentary. Potential to develop this into one of the leading restoration , porsche classics channel . One of the distinguishing channel strengths is your attention to detail, craftsmanship, products & tools.
So thoughtful. Love this.
It’s rare to stumble across a channel as good as this, keep up the good work!
Wieder ein feines Video. Klasse!
You make me miss my 76 Carrera Targa so much, With Streten (M539) doing the BMW's, now I have found my Porsche guy. Thank you.
Behold... Golden hands and skill at work just amazing !
I like the way you are doing the restoration. Don’t care about others opinion. You are on the right way.
Your calm is an inspiration, would totally tackle this after watching. Beautiful work.
Again... meticulous, excellent work. Obviously, a labor of love... on my favorite car of all time!
Thank you for the videos. Very helpful and informative. I purchased an 87’ and will be doing many of the same projects. Good to have a guide. I removed the seats as well and encounter a similar level of grime! Lol
Absolutely fantastic video! Greetings from Switzerland
I am amazed. I like to fix things like you. It’s not always fun to just remember and replace with parts when you can with a little work repair to like new.
Love your narrative sir!
Love your practical approach. You inspired me to look for an oldtimer cooperative...or maybe found one myself. Ah, the perfect guys club: one has a wooden Dragon sloop, the other an AN-2, the next guy a Porsche 356 or 911 and so on. Membership gets you four days a year with each! Don´t even have time for more...
Thanks for sharing!
Great work!
The intro made me grin. Reminded me of George's channel 'Soup Classic Motoring'. Great vid!
Great job well done mate.
