maybe you can help... Why would the side pulley not go back to start position? I suppose a spring is broken/loose somewhere. Can it be replaced without opening up and do the unstitching job? Thanks!

Only thing i feel is to put a soft blanket down on bench so the seats do not get scratched while working on them.
