Introduced in 2017, the L5P Duramax diesel engine is a powerhouse for the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500, as well as the GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500. But as with all stock fuel systems, the OEM setup leaves a lot to be desired!
In this video, we highlight the step-by-step procedures for installing a FASS Fuel System on the L5P Duramax. By removing over 99% of the water, air, and debris from the diesel fuel, the FASS protects the injection components and engine while improving performance and efficiency.
Additionally, the DRASTICALLY improved fuel flow from the FASS supports all levels of performance modifications-from mild to wild! And as you might suspect, the installation procedures for L5P-equipped GMC Sierras are the same as those for the Chevrolet Silverado.

Do you get any CEL leaving the oem fuel pump plug disconnected? Also what pressure does the Fass operate at?

Our systems for the L5P Duramax are ONLY for trucks with aftermarket tuning-this ensures you're able to delete any codes.
If you were to install our system on a stock L5P with no tuning support, you'd almost certainly have a CEL.
And this system operates at approximately 75 psi!
It's extremely easy to do, but how about a video showing how to replace a bad lift pump motor?

Even if it throws a cel, are u still able to drive it? My lift pump went out and would like to do away with the in tank and just do a fast pump...

If I wanna run this system with a Beans Sump w/ supply n return port , do I still need to drop the tank ??? Do you guys have any videos or instructions on that ???

I put an xdp sump on my truck towards the front of the tank and it leaves me stranded with half a tank. The fass takes in air. Just do it this way better.
Running the fass pump but using a fuel sump kit and leaving the factory pump in take and leaving all connectors plugged it wouldn’t cause a cel light right? Since everything is still all connected.

@@jeremyfortune7274 For the Titanium Signature Series on an L5P yes you will need a tune, but we offer a Drop-in system that doesn't require tuning for these trucks as well.
Do I need to tune the truck after the lift pump???
Awesome question, and for the L5P Duramax yes sir there is tuning required after the installation.
Have they worked out the kinks, I hear the tuners are having problems getting these things tuned in properly,, when I spoke to my tuner at calibrated power he recommended not to buy it until all the bugs were worked out, it’s a shame cause I love fass I have it on three of my other trucks, I want one for my l5p hopefully soon.

This installation was actually filmed in response to a few reports of issues with our L5P kit. After following the exact installation instructions, we haven't had a single hiccup with this particular truck since install.
While product issues unfortunately do happen, we haven't been able to replicate any in our own L5P testing.

Hi is a lift pump a must on l5p?
Would this void a warranty my truck if i installed this

To play it safe i would contact the dealer you purchased the truck from to make sure they wont void the warranty sir.

Bought this for my 17 duramax have a derringer on my truck now half way thru install with wiring run at the tank. But now unsure if its going to work or toss my truck into limp mode. When u say tuner what tuner?!?

Regarding the tuner, we're simply referring to any aftermarket tuner that allows you to disable the codes activated by L5Ps with aftermarket fuel systems.
ECM swap there goes an extra $4k to go along with your lift pump install

They're Hostile Forged, but we're not sure on the exact spec.
