- Cook a great rolled pork roast with crackling.
Stuffing recipe ingredients :
4 slices of bread, crumbed
100g butter, melted
2 tbsp dried sage
.5 cup parsley, chopped
3 spring onions finely chopped
100 grams macadamia nuts roughly chopped
Salt, Pepper
Mix all ingredients.
Voila, stuffing.
I’ve watched this 3 times now for my Xmas roasts 😎👍
I always forget to pull the pork out to prep it a few days before the cook up, but have found a cheat to get crackle.
Pull the pork out of the vacuum seal in the morning and wash & dry it. Lay it on a rack over the sink and pour 2 litres of boiling water over the skin. Pop it in the fridge for a couple of hours (ideally 2-4hrs), then prep & cook it as though you’ve had it in the fridge for several days. You will get excellent crackle results this way, believe me.
Thank you I appreciate it!
What an awesome video of a family man and his boy cooking up a storm in the Weber Q! Beautiful to see! Can't wait to try roast pork on my new Weber Q!
I like this. Nice to see you and your lad getting into it. My son loves crackling too but I do mine on a Weber kettle with a rotisserie so it's a bit daunting to offer help... except for when it's time to eat! Proper crackling always brings a smile! Nice video mate. As a video editor of a TV show millions of people watch, I like the production value added by your videographer. Cheers.
Thanks mate, gotta do one for Christmas day.
I couldn't smash the subscribe button hard enough!!! Nicely done. Great to see some Aussies. Weber is a way of life. Hello from brissie
There are two great moments in your life - 1) When you open a film developing tank and you have negatives - 2) when you open your BBQ and you have crackling.
Had a Weber Q for years. Looking how to roast with it for my next Queensland camping trip. Love that your son in involved in the cooking, I did the same great life skills. The thermometer looks good.
Dad made crackle. He is now the family hero. I am yet to be.
Great vid. Props for including the fam. Well done.
Great video guys! Exactly what I wanted to see before attempting myself. Good stuff
Gold! Looks great, Awesome video guys.
Cant wait, to pickup my weber, and cook this. Looked so good well done.
Awesome Mate. Great Fam too. Love the Q
Well done mate, looks amazing!!
Well done to you and your son. Great effort
Good video, your son is so happy
Nice one mate! Just bought a weber Q, can't wait to replicate this one!
You cant beat a great crackle
Secret is to make a few cuts in the skin. Salt heavily. Leave in the fridge over night. Remove salt with clean brush or paper towel. Then rub on oil :)
Great video mate! I love my Weber Q and it’s great your boy gets involved. The pork turned out awesome! 👍
Great video mate, I subbed 👍, did you bone the roast and roll yourself? Maybe that’s another video you could do?
You thinking of getting the rotisserie? Some folks swear by them for the roasts, I’ve never tried it.
I got the same bbq too mate, I smoke lamb roasts on mine, so good.
Great video mate..really helpful thanks
Looks great mate going to do pork belly for new years using the weber.
Nice work! Roasting my first pork on the Q Xmas day !
Thanks for the video, given me good instruction for pork and the smash burgers. Sons a star 😎
Well done lads, hope to see another roast pork vid soon 🙃
So explain in writing how long u cooked it for and any hints to help new weber owners please
Thanks mate. I’m yet to crack the code. Next time for sure after watching your demo. Cheers
Nice vid , I always score the skin and always get good crackle
Nice vid mate pork looks beautiful
Nice one guys. I’m just about to throw my pork on now 🐷 👍
Do the veggies get the pork flavour in the same way that they do when cooking in the oven, sitting in the fat from the pork?
This is awesome, what thermometer I have a hand held one which I need to open the lid and insert manually which I'd love to upgrade
I user a Inkbird IBT-4XS Bluetooth Wireless BBQ Charge Thermometer which has been excellent for me
Hey mate about to give this a go... how long did it take in the end... was it longer than the 2hr estimate
It took almost 3 hours which is very weird because I have cooked 2 more since this video and for the same weight and cut took just under 2 hours. I think the only rule is - use your meat thermometer and go by that :)
you nailed it bro! Where abouts in aus are you? im loving my q1200
I live in Brisbane. I have a webber Q 2200 and it is amazing.
Where did you get your meat thermometer from?
How long would u cook the vegies for, I think an hour would be to long
Hope mine turns out that good! (on Xmas day)
You crackeled the code...✌🏼
thats funny😂
How many followers from Iraq 🇮🇶
Noice!
You don't need oil. If you score the crackling then this will allow the pork fat underneath it to bubble up and self baste the meat, doing a far better job than the oil will do.
I have always used olive oil but have never tried without. Is it much better? I would think it would burn without the oil coating
Great family video - copied the world over!
SHOW TEMPERATURE SETTINGS FROM START TO FINISH > MOST ** IMPORTANT ** ?? THANKS FOR SHARING.
you cant keep a good crackle down 👍
Great mate ! But feed your lovely wife first ... simple stuff that so many Aussie CZcamsrs don't do ? Back to basics and YBS finally learnt some manners ... subs gone through the roof .
