I don't know what to say, but on the first mission (gas statio) one with face mask first surrenders with no gun, then comes with a gun while I was close by and have shoot on another one, he gets shoot, surrenders then comes with another weapon, gets shoot, surrenders and gets cuffed

This is a big Thing in Germany rn, Kids in Schools with Terror Threats are just filming the GSG9 Units, pulling out phones, reaching in their Bags etc. The Policemen are obviously replying aggressively to that and some People just absolutely fail to see the Gravity of these Actions, it's insane how closeminded some People are.
If gsg9 is in the area, people should probably move away from the scene.

I’ve found most the playerbase already were. They treat the game more like a police brutality simulator or a standard shooter like insurgency.
Most of em wouldn’t last a mission in SWAT4 which punishes you WAY harder for breaking the rules.
What happens in swat 4?

Guy with a gun is running away from you and you pop him in the back? Penalty.
Single civilian gets hit and killed during a crossfire? Instant mission failure.
Shoot a guy through a window who hasn’t seen you yet? Penalty.
Shoot a guy through a door? Penalty.
And that’s with the game making a huge difference between unauthorized use of force and unauthorized use of DEADLY force.
SWAT4 made it so you approached each room super carefully but had plenty of options for going in and incentivized using non lethal methods.
Primary and secondary non lethal grenade launchers offering sting, flash, gas or baton rounds. Pepperball guns that did a damn. Beanbag shotguns. Two different types of tazers. Pepperspray.
Like I get it. I like ready or not as well but trying to do non lethal or careful play goes out the window when it’s a bunch of hooting dickholes who’d much rather just shoot up a room.
Also the maps have a issue of always being too damn big for their own good. I’ll be going through a mission and get to what I think is the end and then there’s another full map left to search.

I would love to see a hardcore mode where you can only make say 3 mistakes then the mission ends in a fail
@@BoomerChris RoN has looser ROE as the penalties for unauthorized use of force are very minimal. You could get away with a passing grade even if you go full psycho on the suspects.

In order to help the officer on the traffic stop, be sure to get out of your car and sprint towards them so they have less travel time. As well, reach quickly for your identification so as to not waste the officer’s time. He will appreciate your cooperation.
Cool idea, makes suspects that look like civilians but have a gun holstered with the same pull out animation though to actually make it a threat
That actually happens in RoN already. Sometimes a suspect dressed as a civ “surrenders” and quick-draws a pistol as soon as you move closer.

I gotta ask though - wouldn't a police officer have training to... not do exactly that when confronted in this scenario? Even the animation for pulling out a badge looks particularlly rough in this video.
@@x007hunterx4 Yes, they would. Typically they’d ask to show them if the uniform wasn’t enough proof that they’re on the same side.
I remember we shot a woman because of this. She was about to be cuffed and we thought she was reaching for a knife. She quickly learned you do not move your hands when you have a scared guy with an submachinegun on you.

I think this is a good addition.
This will make situations so much trickier to deal with but this def happens irl.
I just hope there's no score penalty if players do end up shooting the civis in these cases. (Maybe a higher than usual score bonus if players correctly identifies/reacts to these being civi pulling harmless objects?)

@@c130fan irl, such sudden and drastic movement will warrant use of lethal force. Even if it turned out to be a harmless object because, during the moment, it would have been impossible to identify. It COULD have been a weapon, and that possibility combined with the individual's failure to comply would warrant use of lethal force.
@@fishswat1 irl, there wouldn't be a 5 man squad taking out a terrorist group barricaded in a hospital. The whole point of the squad in the lore is, they're basically SOF who operate as a SWAT unit and hold themselves accountable accordingly
@@c130fan Yes, hence it still makes sense to use lethal force where it is warranted, and in a situation like this, police will not be taking any chances. Hesitation of less than half a sec can result in tragedy had it actually turn out to be a weapon being pulled

This isn’t actually that hard to avoid. After 380 hours you start to notice the character models that are civis and which ones aren’t so honestly this isn’t a real problem till they make it were there are so many different models

this cop life , watch body cam of Real life police, they deal with so much stress and unpreditable situations, you cant go shootout mode in this game , this is not a cs go or overwatch.
Absolutely, the only problem with the game pre update is the suspect AI would draw a gun and shoot you dead in milliseconds so you'd have to act fast, may well be fixed in the update 🤞

Some lady stood there for 5 seconds without surrendering while i was shouting and she reached for her phone. 1 tapped her straight in the face, thought i did the right thing until I heard “Check your ROE, don’t kill civilians”

One of my friends ended up shooting a civilian in the hand when she pulled out her phone. I had just walked into the room and hadn't seen any info about the update. Very cool animation obviously, adding a new dynamic to the civilians

I’m sorry but I’ve been almost killed by people grabbing knives and pistols as I try to cuff them. That I’m just gonna instinctively put half a mag in their chest to forego that risk.
I mean now we kinda don’t have to do that anymore because Adam update helps with the instant aimbot. Still a 50/50 for me on if I wait for the “phone”.

In a game like ready or not where it's dark and you can't see what's in there hand, and an AI will one tap you in 0.5 sec, it's gunna happen
Thou what happened is very unfortunate as he lost his life, what civis need to understand is that being in that situation is also very stressful for the police. If the Police tell u to put ur hands up and get down you must follow right away or risk getting shot. The police will automatically search for ur identification, and you can communicate with them while doing so.
Wait, do SWAT Teams really have to cuff police officers that were already on the scene and present them with their ID?
From what I've heard it will be an undercover cop in one of the maps, chances are they'd still detain them until the scene is clear and can verify who they are 🤷🏼♂️

No its because you might have to neutralize the person because they could be reaching for a gun, in which case they will get shot. If you were being held at gunpoint being ordered, and you reach for your phone, they _CAN_ assume that you are reaching for a gun and they _WILL_ fire at you.

Last night I was in a mission, and a civilian started taking pictures of me. But mid flash a hostile opened a door and nearly killed me. Luckily I killed him and closed the door. After I restrained the civilian me and my team beat him up by muzzle ramming him. I don't care if we got points taken away for unauthorized force
She just had to make an update, that yes shes still in the building that's currently being held up, but also that she is ok specifically to her family at this exact moment in time!
While being currently given instructions or should be waiting for them by the extra, nice, super, strong, swat guys; She also 600% hopes the flash dose not distract the good guys or attract bad guys in any way! Because she 100% cares about everyone and her current situation

For a super realistic game focused on actually showing off what the police and SWAT have to go through in some cases, this is an amazing showcase of making people realize the split second reactions and thoughts you need to have as a officer to make a call between hostile and civilian.
