    Thank you! Your video is a gift! I am very interested in this coat, and there is very little information about it on the Internet.

    I’ve acquired one of these recently and remembered you did a video on one. Although mine has a collar which is a slightly different coloured serge. Either way it’s a nice different piece to have in a collection and talk about!

      Absolutely, this one is borrowed but I hope to own one one day!

    Half belts and inverted pleats are actually terribly expensive to manufacture.

    A very interesting video, thank you very much! I haven't found a video of yours on the later pattern double breasted greatcoat which is just to the right of the 1909 pattern one in the clip on your channel, are you considering making one in the future (or have I just been blind again)?

      I shall be making one in the future! That particular example is a 1939 Pattern.

      @@RiflemanMoore Excellent, I shall be looking forward to that - just bought myself a 1951 pattern RAF officers greatcoat though when that arrives here is written in the stars due to the virus... stay safe!

      Thanks for the kind words! As for the 'tache I don't tend to style it one way or another just let the top lip grow and keep it trimmed!

    Good eaving, I just purchased a 1951 great coat for £30, could you get away with using a 1951 pattern greatcoat for a 1940 pattern. I know the collar and the design changed slightly but if I changed the buttons to brass, or green plastic ones instead of staybright would it work ?

    • @RiflemanMoore
      @RiflemanMoore  Před 5 lety

      I would advise against it, the different collar design is very noticeable.

      Rifleman Moore, thank you for the quick reply . Do you know the current price of a 1940 pattern great coat ?

      I didn't buy it, I say in the video I borrowed this from a friend.
