Now I need to back and recheck my clearances on my fwd and direct clutch packs. I used a dial indicator, but now I see that was wrong. First time in a trans and I'm learning a lot.

What mounts do you run in this car? I've seen the adapter plates and mounts advertised for f100 swaps but wondered what the clearance with those would be like in a stock car.

So if you have enough room for another clutch and steel like 6

Is there room to get the tip of the dial indicator onto one of the tangs on a clutch disk? Then lift up the disk with a pick and measure clearance.

I am at Intermediate .060, Direct .050, and Forward .025 is that OK or do I need to tighten up the Intermediate and loosen up the Forward?

Those are all probably fine and would work, however, I’m weird those tolerances would probably keep me awake. I’d get forward up to .040-.050, intermediate down to .040-.050, and direct up to .055-.060. But like I said, those tolerances are would work.

    Thanks for the good info.
You might have noticed that you used the word "tolerance" in place of "clearance" several times. I'm sure you know the difference.

How important are these tolerances on a completely stock vehicle?

You'll want to follow the suggestions in an ATSG book. Too tight and it can drag clutches, too loose and it won't apply quick enough or over extend the piston and damage seals

    You mess with 6l80/6l90s much?

Kevin Luck we’re starting to see a lot of them. Done a lot in stock trucks, couple performance ones

i guess your system works if you eliminate the wave plates.
