    I can’t comment on overheating but the exit vents on the rear of the shroud are designed to allow a through flow of air As it passes through the radiator.Any blockages to these vents will result in the air being redirected and potentially creating a hotspot. I’d suggest utilising the reasonably large regions within the rear cowling to store items you may not need to get to on a daily basis. The Japanese are the finest motorcycle engineers out if that vent wasn’t required it wouldn’t have been put in .

      I guess you all guys have a point. So far it has been behaving normally but we're talking about riding in low temperatures only last few days started to be hot in the desert.
      It would be good test to take the tube out and try to observe if the temperature raises...
      When there is air flow - riding above 50km/h it sits happily at 83-90 depends on the temperature of air. When riding in town in heavy traffic it does turn on the fan often. But that has been always like that and I can't say it would be more often.
      In general T7 turns the fan more than other bikes... or people have different experience?

      Hey! Here in Slovakia it's around 10C during the day and the temp on mine sits around 81C. It goes higher in the city or in harder/slower offroad but I wouldn't necessarily say it turns on the fan too often. Hmm.
      On the other hand, the place for the tire seems really great.. I was excited to try it but hearing about the heat concerns, I'm not sure anymore.
      Keep us posted please!

      Hey Rastislav, so the normal running temperature is the same. It's not 10C here anymore but when I was coming down from CZ to Tunisia temperatures would be similar and the bike comfortably sits between 80-85C really.
      Hard off-road and heavy traffic is where it matters. It would be cool, if someone could really test it. If you put the tube there like I did and go for a off-road ride and monitor the temperature it would give some independent answers.
      The space there is cool, it also can be used to carry things permanently or it can be just as a "smuggling" compartment. In second case, there is no issue with heat as you'd smuggle there things for very limited time.

    How about overheating?

    • @FARANDFURTHER
      @FARANDFURTHER  Před 2 lety

      Ah…. I think I’m getting idea what you and @Vincent are talking. So far not really overheating and I had there my toolkit over the summer in Albania and no issues.
      There is space still left between the frame and engine for airflow.

    You closed the outlet of the vent by the tube. Is that an issue? I put my tube underneath the front seat at the place for the owners manual. The manual is now on my mobile phone. No extra space.

    • @FARANDFURTHER
      @FARANDFURTHER  Před 2 lety

      It does not seem to be the issue. I tried now without the tube and bike gets cooler (1,2 degrees) but I don’t think it’s an issue. The problem is I carry 2 tubes (front rear). Under the seat I have all my tools.

    how your carbon skid plate from Poland?

    • @FARANDFURTHER
      @FARANDFURTHER  Před 2 lety +1

      Great question! I have not been able to break it in Tunisa or Albania Rally so I think it’s doing well.
      I have to say I like it, it has few dents and scratches but it does the job really well.

    Starting to look sexy again 😬, short beard suits you!!
    I will probably put a tube there too, I think I have large enough Vac packs to fit a tube in, that would keep it fresh for a long time and will take as little space as possible.
    If the front is moving like that, you need to tighten the frame bracket too (where I mounted my arm for the rally tower), all 4 bolts in the bracket.
    Stay safe Pavel!

    • @FARANDFURTHER
      @FARANDFURTHER  Před 2 lety

      The thing was… the front bracket is rock solid! The problem was the rear mounts as the whole plastic thing moves as the headlight is rubber mounted so the assembly is not rigid.

    • @everythingtenere
      @everythingtenere Před 2 lety

      @@FARANDFURTHER hmm, strange.
      When I test fit mine without even putting the side plastic braces on, it’s rock solid when tightening the 4 bolts on the metal bracket between the frame and headlight plastics.
      Strange

    • @FARANDFURTHER
      @FARANDFURTHER  Před 2 lety

      Is it? 🤔

    • @everythingtenere
      @everythingtenere Před 2 lety

      @@FARANDFURTHER yup, for me anyways.
      BUT, the two bolts for the headlight assy also have goldish step washers.
      I guess if the plastics been worn it would get glitchy. It also have these dome head nuts, it’s might also limit hove tight you could tourqe them.

      The tank is in a way, I guess? Not really fancy the World Raid and at the time I'll be changing the bike I'll be old enough to buy just 350... :) :)
