  • Despite mounting tensions with Russia over NATO* expansion, the bloc’s outgoing chief hopes Ukraine will become a member in the next 10 years
    *North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. The outgoing NATO Secretary-General said “I very much hope that Ukraine will become an ally”. Jens Stoltenberg admitted that NATO is helping Ukraine prepare for the military alliance. The NATO chief said Kyiv’s allies must continue to provide "strong support" and avoid a repeat of the Minsk Agreements to achieve peace in Ukraine.
