Alumawood Footings

A day of digging footings for an Alumawood patio cover. These footing are 33"x33"x33" to enable a two post system. This patio would require 4 posts with out these footings. The Alumawood patio cover will have 3"x3" steel posts with 3"x8" steel cbeam.

Seems crazy to have to make the footings so large.

It is, lol. I'm doing mine right now and it's so overkill. I believe they say it's for uplift but doesn't make sense. Mine would've required one more post (2 wedge bolts) instead I have to add 4,000 lbs of concrete footings.....
