    What would your opinion on this trailer be for "year round" use, in an area like Southern Ohio?

    Great love/hate video! Our windows face the neighbors as well. Never understood why they build them that way. My brother has a Rockwood TT with bunk room, very nice rig. Thanks for sharing!

      Thank you for watching!! We love it for the most part, just a few little nits. Happy camping!!

    We just got a 2020 and I wanted the hitch as well. Nice upgrade. The newer model got rid of the storage cabinet bank above the dinette to add bigger windows (guess they wanted you to have an even better view of you neighbors.) I would have rather had the storage. We love the look of the trailer and can't wait to get it rolling. Thanks for the upgrade tips.

      We still love ours soooo much! Its been about a year and a half and we’ve had some amazing trips in it and the kids love having their own beds and my wife loves to sit at the table and do puzzles and stuff at night!

    We have the 2020 2706ws and one of the upgrades is the receiver hitch rated for 300 pounds. Another nice upgrade is that comes with a great TPMS.

      That’s awesome! I would love a nice receiver hitch!! That’s a nice upgrade for sure. And who wouldn’t want a nice tpms-thanks for letting us know!

    Hi we have the same model but a 2021. We have absolutely loved it. We got it in the fall of 2020. One thing I wish it did have was a better pantry which they have now added to the newer models. It’s actually a closet pantry. However all in all we are really loving our 2706 ROCKWOOD. We upgraded to 6 V batteries. This made a huge difference. We also have the new 12 V fridge that is larger and it is really really nice.

    I was going to reply to the Facebook post, but I'll post it here. We have the 2020 Flagstaff 27BHWS (same trailer) and our list of LIKES is pretty much the same as yours. We would also change the layout on the kitchen/living area to get a better view of the camp side, not the neighbors. Luckily, most of the campgrounds we frequent, the sites are layed out in such a way as to not really have neighbors on the side. I do still need to get the JT StrongArms on ours as the rocking is pretty bad, even with X-Chocks, etc. As for the venting, I'll agree, it's not perfect, but it's not too bad, either. We opted for the 2nd MaxxAir fan in the bedroom up front (instead of just a vent or the 2nd A/C which definitely isn't needed on this unit) and when we have all of the windows open and the MaxxAir vents drawing air, it does alright. The only other thing I'd personally change is the couch/dinette layout. We thought we'd love the oversized U-dinette more but truthfully, we eat most of our meals outside and when the weather doesn't cooperate, we wish we have more sofa and less dinette. We looked at trailers for 3 years and kept coming back to this specific model. Is it the PERFECT trailer? No. But it does a damn good job at execution and does a great job at giving us virtually everything we need, keeping our family comfortable and the storage is unreal.

    • @WhyWeWork
      @WhyWeWork  Před 4 lety

      Thanks so much for the feedback, we totally agree! Those strong arms are really a good investment if you plan to keep the trailer for a bit. It doesn't take out all of the movement, but it makes a big difference! I definitely want to add the maxx air fan one of these days, but agree that we don't need the second AC! Appreciate you stopping by and weighing in!!

    • @WhyWeWork
      @WhyWeWork  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you so much! Parts are ordered and insurance already paid us out. Just waiting for the parts to arrive then I'll drop it off to get fixed. Didn't want to leave the TT there for a long time and miss out on the nice weather. We just did a trip without the awning and it was still fun, but I'll take it in as soon as they're ready to install. Should only take a few days to turn it around they said. Fingers crossed!

    Very nice video, you did a great job. I took some notes about the upgrade you suggested, this is very helpful. Please, where did you get the nice battery box? does it lock? thanks again for all the info.

      Pierre Michael that’s awesome-so glad it was helpful! We got the battery box on etrailer.com, I think I put a like to it in the video description. It does have a lock an that was already worth it because someone tried to pry it open and it held!

    Hey I love your trailer but dam that’s a small sink area. Ok the max air fan I just installed will help so much with ventilation. You already have the covers. I got mine in Amazon for around $205 It is the one with the remote control. It has the reverse feature so u can pull air in from the windows and out the fan vent. It will really increase the air flow coming in thru your windows. It looks like you have 3 vents? Heck if you installed 2 in the living area it would bee a very nice breeze

    Nice video , I have a question for you , on your front cap those 2 little lights in each upper corner , I can't find a switch for it . Do they only work when the vehicle is hooked up maybe ?

    That is definitely one of the better bunk style trailers. There are some things I like better about my Imagine 2800BH and some things I like better about your trailer. They need to have it so you can just design your own. I definitely need those stabilizers though.

    • @WhyWeWork
      @WhyWeWork  Před 4 lety +1

      The 2800bh is an awesome rig too. All of the new ones are pretty sweet regardless! But get on those strong arms, they are the best upgrade!

      @@WhyWeWork Did you install the strong arms yourself? Which model is it?

  • @jeffreybryson
    @jeffreybryson Před 3 lety

    This popped up in my recommendations...likely because we had a Rockwood hybrid and upgraded to a 2021 Alpha Wolf 26DBH-L. While we liked the Rockwood quality, this model and the GD 2800BH are just too heavy/long for a half ton IMO. I wish both manufacturers would focus on a 26' model. We do have a rack that is rated for 200 lbs. I'm going to take it off and add a lighter bike rack. I agree with you in the windows, same issue. I hope you have a F250/2500 tow vehicle, especially adding bigger propane tanks and batteries with that camper.

    • @WhyWeWork
      @WhyWeWork  Před 4 lety

      edb 2005 super duty. 6.0. She’s old, but she’s got a lot of power. Wish I could get a newer one, but still probably a few years out.

  • @923mercury
    @923mercury Před 3 lety

    How is the overall build quality? We are looking at the same model.

    • @wb5mgr
      @wb5mgr Před 3 lety

      We just got a 2509s and I would say build quality is so-so. Running frame looks good, but right off lots of odds and ends are breaking (plastic parts and trim pieces. ) The welds on our dinette bench broke on both sides and will have to be completely rewelded.
      Its a nice layout and fun to travel in, but he is spot on with his points about the mattresses and some of the other items.
      We will enjoy this one but its going to be at the dealership for at least a couple of weeks getting fixed within the first week of ownership. What does that say.

  • @Ck-ed9qy
    @Ck-ed9qy Před 4 lety +3

    For the showermiser...it’s intended purpose is to recirculate the water back into the fresh tank until it gets hot - then the blue tube turns a different color indicating hot water is now at the tap. Then you flip it back and start showering. It’s not supposed to be used to “pause” the shower while you soap up or whatever. It’s meant to save the initial water used while waiting for the water to turn hot vs wasting it down the drain. I wish I had it on mine!

    • @WhyWeWork

      Sorry it wasn’t up to standards, we weee just making the video to help people out who were considering the unit. We don’t have any special lighting equipment to use in the trailer. Our apologies!
