I don't really go into detail with Jing Yuan teams because the only change is maybe your sustain unit and the rest of his team will stay relatively the same. Tingyun + Sparkle/Bronya/Hanya etc.
The reason why I go so into detail for Aventurine S1 vs Trend is because there was this REALLY delusional peanut-brained individual who triggered me saying Trend is always better when that clearly isn't even close to the truth... LMAO

Some CCs are saying trend of universal market LC requires effect hit rate to function. Is that true?

Do you mean like if it's required or not?
Trend has a base chance, so if you want to increase the chance EHR obviously would increase that chance.
Now whether that is worth it or not, is an entirely different thing and I believe the answer is no.
