I certainly agree. He was the new guy in The Move in the late 60s, ELO in the 70s and early 80s, the Traveling Wilburys, producing (and co-writing) Roy Orbison's last album, producing almost everything George Harrison did between 1987 and his death, producing all of the Beatles remasters and re-assembled songs in the 90s. My favorite of his recent recordings are of him with an acoustic guitar and Richard Tandy on grand piano playing ELO songs like this one.
Evil Woman has more of a disco sound, and Strange Magic is more mystical. I like it better, because it really takes you through different layers and tunnels.
I just remembered an E.L.O. HIT , You haven't reacted to yet ! it,s called "DO YA" seriously . The chorus goes ; DO YA , { do ya ,want my love ? } You'll LOVE it ,as soon as you hear it you know its E.L.O . Guaranteed you'll be singing !!! You ROCK !
I was actually going to suggest this song during the “Live Chat” by the way we need more of those. Anyways it’s my ultimate favorite. “ELO” has nothing but great songs. Top favorite bands. 💃
The string arrangements are always the centerpiece of this band. In live performance they often have an orchestra but they always used to have violinists with blue electric violins
With ELO, you just can’t lose. Truly wonderful. If you listen to another song of there’s called The Whale, it’s beauty will stop you in your tracks Jovaughn, it’s that incredible. Real music, the way it should be.
ELO has always been my favorite and I watch your videos to see your reaction. I'm happy that you like them. Now I hope some day you would react to their song called Showdown
I saw ELO in '79. What a concert! Love their music, they are versatile with incredible musical range, a lot of good songs! Listen to "Don't Bring Me Down", FUN song. Great review. 💕
Jeff loves to use unusual things to make music. The cowbell like sound was made by banging on a fire extinguisher. He still uses the extinguisher in his live concerts, one of the background singers plays it.
Hi Jaycee. I absolutely love your comments on ELO. Your reactions are very thoughtful, insightful, and fun to hear!! I really appreciate your willingness to explore such a great band from a great era. There will never be another ELO, never.
Hey J, glad you're loving Jeff Lynne and ELO. Check out their first "hit" Can't Get It Out of My Head" from the album, Eldorado. Also, their instrumental masterpiece "Fire On High" from their album "Face the Music"! You'll be transported on a major musical journey.
There's a great live video on CZcams of ELO covering Chuck Berry's Roll Over Beethoven. You might even say that they're covering Beethoven himself. "Tell Tchaikovsky the news."
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your reaction was everything I expected it to be!!❤ I was listening along watching your face but my mind was always a few lines ahead. I kept thinking" oh watch when he hears this" or "wait until he hears that!" And that break...❤❤❤the look on your face was exactly what I knew it would be... Excellent choice.
Yesssss thank you!! STRANGE MAGIC is my favorite of theirs (along with this) and a slower smooth jam. Pretty please check it out.. promise you won’t regret it!! (I think you believe me lol.) 👍🏼👍🏼
I really like ELO. You might be glad to hear that they have recent live performances well worth checking out. Wembley concert probably best, but I like the Zoom concert also.
This song was popular for months and months when it came out. Whenever I hear it, I'm right back at the beach in 1976 with this wafting from transistor radios all around me, or riding along with my dad in his Mustang II with the volume cranked hard on the Alpine system because my mom wasn't there to nag us about losing our hearing. LOL. It's definitely one of my favorites from the soundtrack of my 8th grade year.
Great video, ELO has always been great. Grew up listening to them on the radio. This song is sampled in two songs my children loved. The funky guitar riff during the chorus, can be found in Daft Punks "Face to face" and the string section breakdown was used in The Pussycat Dolls " Beep" .
Jeff Lynn does it all! Everything he does turns out right. Enjoy your reactions so much ... your face lights up while you listen to a song you enjoy. Keep it up please.
That’s because a lot of women can be both within just minutes of each other. Jeff Lynne said that he found an old metal fire extinguisher and hit it, and that was the exact sound he needed, so they used that.
ELO is my favorite revisited band. I never noticed back in the day but now I realized they were on the airwaves for decades, like the oxygen hanging in the air. PLEASE do a reacton to All Over the World with flash dance footage. It makes you so happy and it was a real thing. A real, real, thing.
You said ELO's music is like being on a roller coaster. If you want a real ELO musical roller coaster experience, check out "Shine a Little Love." Ooh ha ooh ha Wooooo!
Don't Bring Me Down.......(Bruce}. Also no one suggests but favorites are Rock and Roll Is King and Hold on to Your Dreams. There are still more great ones. Xanadu for another. Can you hear the influence he had on the Beatle's. Jeff Lynne is god on this earth for music.
Jeff Lynn is the lead singer and public face of ELO. The guy is from the biggest city in the UK outside of London. Birmingham in the West Midlands is the city I am talking about. To hear him being interviewed he's such an easygoing guy, very down to earth and certainly doesn't really try to be something that he's not. Just a very talented musician, lyricist, producer and songwriter.
Please would you consider reacting to Mister Kingdom or Eldorado? Two songs no one reacts to, both incredibly beautiful. In fact I'd like Eldorado played at my funeral one day, it is so amazing :)
Yep, there's a reason "orchestra" is in the name - with the strings accompanying the song perfectly. Of course, love the cow bell during the chorus too. : )
The beginning of this song is very recognizable and was one of many hits by Electric Light Orchestra and my favorite. It was released in 1975 and did well worldwide, such a talented English group. The brainchild of the group is Jeff Lynne . Other songs worth a listen are " DON'T BRING ME DOWN", LIVIN' THING" AND " STRANGE MAGIC".
If there was a soundtrack to my childhood growing up in the 70s, ELO would be a big part of it. Love seeing your reactions to their songs, it makes them new again.
You really need to react to the live versions. ELO are better live than in the studio. The Wembley concert is the one to watch. Utterly amazing performance from a music legend. Some of their songs that I just liked, utterly blew me away with the live version. You are seriously missing out.
Saw them first tour to US decades ago. Then again in Houston when they toured again after 40 years. The light show was a total throwback. Got to talking to people around us. Guy behind me traveled from Virginia, I came from Arizona. Turns out he, my niece (who was with me and lives in Houston), and I all went to the same junior high school in Tucson in different decades. Wild. Jeff Lynne has not missed a beat. He and Dylan are the only ones left of the Traveling Wilburys.
Javon, would you ever consider reacting to an instrumental by ELO ? Check out Fire On High. And if you want to hear a fun offbeat song, try The Diary of Horace Wimp.
"You made the wine, now you drink it up" is like "You made your bed, now lie in it". He's telling her that her own actions brought on her problems, and he's satisfied to know that she's paying for it.
Also you may like to try “Tribute to George Harrison” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” with Jeff Lynne, Prince, Tom Petty. You will NOT be disappointed.. Especially Prince’s guitar solo! 💞
Jeff Lynne is 1 of the most underrated history. Olivia Newton-John, cowriter Tom Petty, cowriter Roy Orbison + cowriter Brian Wilson, et al sang his songs.
Really love how you analyzed the difference between this song and Sweet Talkin Woman. Definitely one of my favorites from this incredible band! Jeff Lynne is beyond genius! Thanks for your great channel and the hard work you put into it!
There are so many great ELO songs it's difficult to chose one... But I'll recommend one that it seems no one reacts to, but is fantastic. "Wild West Hero"
Love your ELO enthusiasm! Please keep on digging for that Jeff Lynne gold! Btw, Evil Woman was originally released in '75, and Sweet Talking Woman in '77. Great reaction! My request would be "So Fine." Thanks!
Jeff Lynn is, without a doubt, one of the most talented musician/producers on this planet.
Damn Straight, Ronnie!!! 💖💖💖💖👍
Yup
I certainly agree. He was the new guy in The Move in the late 60s, ELO in the 70s and early 80s, the Traveling Wilburys, producing (and co-writing) Roy Orbison's last album, producing almost everything George Harrison did between 1987 and his death, producing all of the Beatles remasters and re-assembled songs in the 90s. My favorite of his recent recordings are of him with an acoustic guitar and Richard Tandy on grand piano playing ELO songs like this one.
He is a legend
You clearly haven’t heard of the legend Freddy Mercury and the band Queen. Shame because their GODS.
Don’t bring me down is another great from ELO
YEEESSS!!!
For a totally different feel, try "Strange Magic". E.L.O. has range.
Add "Can't Get It Out of My Head"!
Great song!
Evil Woman has more of a disco sound, and Strange Magic is more mystical. I like it better, because it really takes you through different layers and tunnels.
I absolutely love Strange Magic..
I agree with Strange Magic!
check out Last Train to London, if you wanna groove.
I love that one too
Love this song...probably my favorite song by ELO...but they're all great!
I just remembered an E.L.O. HIT , You haven't reacted to yet ! it,s called
"DO YA" seriously . The chorus goes ; DO YA ,
{ do ya ,want my love ? }
You'll LOVE it ,as soon as you hear it you know its E.L.O . Guaranteed you'll be singing !!! You ROCK !
Do Ya is a great rocking song! It’s one of my favorites.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot about this one
And then listen to the old version from when Jeff Lynne was still in The Move! :D
They're one of the best bands of all time. Jeff Lynne has a gift for melody and the band members were great instrumentalists.
One of the best Brit bands. High quality, high performance. Try Strange Magic.......it's mesmerizing🎶🎧💥
As a kid I always thought they were singing “medieval woman”
Many people have thought that. 😆
What, you didn’t know “evil” was a three-syllable word?😊
I turned today years old and learned it wasn’t Medieval...
🤦♂️
Majyk Aw, man! 😆
Hehehe Precious! 💖💖💖💖
I was actually going to suggest this song during the “Live Chat” by the way we need more of those. Anyways it’s my ultimate favorite. “ELO” has nothing but great songs. Top favorite bands. 💃
ELO - Turn to Stone - Telephone Line - Living Thing - Strange Magic
ELO was an overlooked band. Jeff Lynn is so talented! Thanks for your reaction!
Don't Bring Me Down!
So many great bands from across the pond.
I remember seeing them in 1975 at Randwick in Sydney,it was the first laser show I ever saw and the music incredible.
I love your ‘hey, what’s happening?’ face. 😂 You’re killing it recently. 👏🏼
Groovy! You said, “Groovy!” Ya know that was a 70’s saying! You’ve truly been infected with the 70’s! 😆
We need to teach him ‘boogie’ next! Lol
Yasmin Love For sure! We can make that a goal! 😆
C W We’ll have him in flares before you know it! 😂
@@yasminm7157 😆
Jeff Lynne is a genius and his voice so distinctive. I loved this album.
The string arrangements are always the centerpiece of this band. In live performance they often have an orchestra but they always used to have violinists with blue electric violins
One of the original big hits from this super band. Remember it well.
I would say this is their TOP SONG.........They sang this at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
This is your best reaction. Your explanation of the song and comparing it with sweet talkin woman was very insightful. Great analysis.
With ELO, you just can’t lose. Truly wonderful. If you listen to another song of there’s called The Whale, it’s beauty will stop you in your tracks Jovaughn, it’s that incredible. Real music, the way it should be.
Awesome song! This song was from my HS days, Class of 77. We played this one a lot.
Evil woman came first, lol, I love this song, the music is incredible. I actually saw them when I was 16. My mom loved them..💕
ELO has always been my favorite and I watch your videos to see your reaction. I'm happy that you like them. Now I hope some day you would react to their song called Showdown
ELO will never dissapoint...❤️
Next ELO song, Don't Bring Me Down
My favorite! Love them all, but it’s my fave!
Another great one..
Yes, yes, yes!!
I love that song!
Love this song 🙂 my mom grew up in the 70's she used to dance to this in the kitchen lol
Jeff Lynne just has an amazing sense when it comes to melody.
I saw ELO in '79. What a concert! Love their music, they are versatile with incredible musical range, a lot of good songs! Listen to "Don't Bring Me Down", FUN song. Great review. 💕
That's my song. I always raise the volume on this one! Glad you're reacting to it, you won't be disappointed.
Jeff loves to use unusual things to make music. The cowbell like sound was made by banging on a fire extinguisher. He still uses the extinguisher in his live concerts, one of the background singers plays it.
One of the greatest musical minds of our lifetime!
Hi Jaycee. I absolutely love your comments on ELO. Your reactions are very thoughtful, insightful, and fun to hear!! I really appreciate your willingness to explore such a great band from a great era. There will never be another ELO, never.
I love the beginning when the drums come in. I knew you would react to that part. It is great.
🎶" Strange Magic "🎶 😎😊 another Great tune from ELO . Thankyou my Brother " Chicag🎷" ✌🙏💜🎶🇺🇸
I love your reactions! You're very positive and make me stoked about music I already love! Especially ELO!!!
Great song
Hey J, glad you're loving Jeff Lynne and ELO. Check out their first "hit" Can't Get It Out of My Head" from the album, Eldorado. Also, their instrumental masterpiece "Fire On High" from their album "Face the Music"! You'll be transported on a major musical journey.
Great song and i love the mug by the way!!!
There's a great live video on CZcams of ELO covering Chuck Berry's Roll Over Beethoven. You might even say that they're covering Beethoven himself. "Tell Tchaikovsky the news."
Norm Weldon I keep suggesting that one. It’s AMAZING!
That is a wild song! We used to act like Chuck Berry playing the guitar when we’d play this one
Love 💘 it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your reaction was everything I expected it to be!!❤
I was listening along watching your face but my mind was always a few lines ahead. I kept thinking" oh watch when he hears this" or "wait until he hears that!" And that break...❤❤❤the look on your face was exactly what I knew it would be... Excellent choice.
E.L.O LOVE THEM. MY Teen years. I have to say we had the best music. Awesome!!!!!!!
Ricky Price Yes those are great

It's definitely one of my favorites from the soundtrack of my 8th grade year.
Thanks for helping me remember how awesome some things are :) Peace!
As u like to say, "you already know what time it is". Time to give it a 👍 up.
I love your face when something changes up lol
The album was written with the intention of every song being a single.Such was the quality.😀
Love is like oxygen.
I have never heard an ELO song that I didn't absolutely love! I have been a huge fan since I was a little girl.
I missed your live stream, hate the time difference between us :( Great choice with this one, thanks to all that requested it!!
Jeff Lynn is a musical genius.
You said ELO's music is like being on a roller coaster. If you want a real ELO musical roller coaster experience, check out "Shine a Little Love." Ooh ha ooh ha Wooooo!
Jeff and Co really did make some excellent tunes.
Great song! I used to think they were saying "Medieval Woman". :-/
Mee tooo!
I sang that, along for years and years, lol
next ELO song, try Hold on Tight.
Or anything else off of their album Time
Hold On Tight is always one of my go to songs on a crappy day.
OMG!! I can remember my older sister playing this song over and over!! Childhood!
You’re exactly right to say ELO is super creative when you reacted to sweet talking woman.

Just a very talented musician, lyricist, producer and songwriter.
The lyrics are synonymous with the phrase: "Don't let the door hit cha on the ass on your way out!!"😉
Instantly back in my senior year. Loved ELO and Jeff Lynn is superb
GROOVY....yea, bringing back the word groovy....nice job J
Don't bring me down. Can't go wrong with it. Great Bev Bevan on drums and the riff is irresistible. ✌From, the Rockies of Utah.🍻
Please would you consider reacting to Mister Kingdom or Eldorado? Two songs no one reacts to, both incredibly beautiful. In fact I'd like Eldorado played at my funeral one day, it is so amazing :)
Mr Kingdom = Superb 👍😊
Dang! We had great music in the 70’s!!
Too bad you can’t get The Eagles. They were such a huge influence on our lives.
ELO is phenomenal also.
YEPPIE!!!! Evil Woman!!!!!!🙋♀️🙋♀️💙💙💙
MUSIC: The ultimate time machine!!
Yep, there's a reason "orchestra" is in the name - with the strings accompanying the song perfectly. Of course, love the cow bell during the chorus too. : )
That moment at the end of the instrumental bridge when the violins crash in is just spine-tingling
The beginning of this song is very recognizable and was one of many hits by Electric Light Orchestra and my favorite. It was released in 1975 and did well worldwide, such a talented English group. Or Another Heart Breaks
I love watching you, sorry if I can say these beautiful black reactors reacting to the magnificent ELO. I love you guys xx
"You made the wine, now you drink it up" is like "You made your bed, now lie in it".
He's telling her that her own actions brought on her problems, and he's satisfied to know that she's paying for it.
Yep
So much going on in this song and its all blended perfectly
Also you may like to try “Tribute to George Harrison” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” with Jeff Lynne, Prince, Tom Petty. You will NOT be disappointed.. Especially Prince’s guitar solo! 💞
There are so many good ELO songs!! 🕺🏻🕺🏻💃💃
You can't go wrong with any song from them, actually...!!! How many bands did or do deliver like they did? 🤷🏼♀️😍
Wild West Hero is another of my favourite ELO tracks.
Yes! Fantastic track. Can we have this please, J!
Yes! Please listen to Wild West Hero 💚
Jeff Lynne is 1 of the most underrated history.
Olivia Newton-John, cowriter Tom Petty, cowriter Roy Orbison + cowriter Brian Wilson, et al sang his songs.
Evil Woman 😃♥️ my favorite ELO song probably cause I've known a couple ✌️♥️ Jeff Lynne is a musical genius
Really love how you analyzed the difference between this song and Sweet Talkin Woman. Definitely one of my favorites from this incredible band! Jeff Lynne is beyond genius! Thanks for your great channel and the hard work you put into it!
I would suggest listening to two other song by Electric Light Orchestra, which are Twilight and Another Heart Break. Both songs are on the album Time.
It's so beautiful to see someone hear and react to something I've known forever.
Love your channel kidder 👍🏻👊🏻
I remember when their songs were all you heard on the radio
There are so many great ELO songs it's difficult to chose one... But I'll recommend one that it seems no one reacts to, but is fantastic.
"Wild West Hero"
Oh, that was a cow bell! More cow bell! Next Don’t Bring Me Down and All Over The World.
Saw them in concert in the 70s still love them.
This reminds me why I love the 70 s era music. Just artistic real music.
Love your ELO enthusiasm! Please keep on digging for that Jeff Lynne gold! Btw, Evil Woman was originally released in '75, and Sweet Talking Woman in '77. Great reaction! My request would be "So Fine." Thanks!
