I've been watching for a while and never knew you were employed at Tesla, that's honestly so cool to me. Honestly thank you for your hard work to get the company to where it is now, sustainable future is super important, electric cars are the way. I just started there at Giga 1 a few months ago, I've been super passionate about the cars for a couple years now, so I've really found my dream career. Definitely going to work my hardest and get my dream Cybertruck/Model X Plaid. Your channel now just gave me even more motivation to accomplish my goals so thanks
Voice and intonation very unique and reminds me of only ONE person I've ever know and one of my all time faves. Gotta think anyone who knew him and his vids put it together.
I feel ya bro. I smack my self every time I remember that if I had put the $50K i paid for my 2019 Model 3 into TSLA stock instead I would be a millionaire.
WOW! I've been a huge fan for a long time, but this is FAR AND AWAY my favorite episode. "Helmets Off" to you for sharing your real self and real story with a bunch of strangers. Thank you, and best of luck to you and your family (2 legged and 4 legged). Cheers!
Good for you. Dedicating 12+ hrs/day to a job you love is a great experience. But most people can't do it forever especially when they realize the life sacrifices they are making. Your videos are great and it was good to hear the story behind the maker.
Congrats AIDrivr! What an amazing story and accomplishment. Absolutely no shame in leaving Tesla to focus on other things in life. And yes, your passion for the mission (autopilot/fsd) really does show in your work and videos. Such an inspiring story. Thank you.
I always liked your videos and the effort you put in, but boy did this video make me happy as a fellow human. Such a genuine and friendly, appreciating character - much more than just a face reveal 🙏 All the best for your new chapter! Greetings from Germany
How lovely to finally see you. I must admit you’re far younger than I expected. As I’ve said before on these pages your work explaining FSD is by far and the way the best in class. Please keep it up. Good luck to you.
I had no idea you worked at Tesla!! To have played a part in one of the biggest companies to push the boundaries of what is possible is amazing - well done you! I also changed my job a few years ago to have more time at home and then we also reviewed a dog - closely followed by rescuing another! 🐕🐕 And it was one of the best things we ever did, so I completely get where you're coming from. And Honey and Fluke are beautiful 😍😍. Thank you for sharing your journey and can't wait for the channel's next chapter.
I just finished my bachelor degree in automotive computing and just applied at Tesla for an ADAS test operator in Austria (: Although it’s maybe a simple role to begin with i am eager to see where i can be supportive (: Owning and driving Tesla since over 3 years and 100.000km‘s
Great reveal. You look nothing like I expected. And you're much younger than I expected too. Keep up the good work. Enjoy watching your videos. Also, I've had some circumstances that changed my life as well that led me to starting my own business. My biggest regret was not starting earlier.
Awesome! Enjoy Honey and Fluke. You make amazing videos and I'm here for whatever is next on your channel. Your wife is a trooper, too. Loved the "can she tell if it's me or FSD driving?" videos and the commentary and great editing.
It's really admirable and special that you made so much of that brief career. Have to say I enjoyed the Top Gear esq (the mysterious Stig) helmet thing.
Hi, just watched your stream with Chris (OK, Chris' stream with you) and wanted to add my 1 count toward your 200K goal. Been a subscriber for awhile and love the style. Go for it. "Americans will eventually do the right thing, after exhausting all other possibilities.” - Winston Churchill
You're an amazing person. I already thought you were great from the quality content you made on here and the great commentary, but hearing your passion and dedication gives me even more respect for you. I don't think I could commit to a 4 hour commute and I used to have to travel a lot to see family, so I'm not one of those people that thinks 30 minutes or an hour is a "long drive". Congrats on having pups! They're so cute.
In 1999, during the course of my day long interview at Microsoft, one of my interviewers somehow mentioned that there were several employees driving around million dollar beamers. You're not alone.
I just put in my 2 weeks at Tesla. I can agree with you that it's been a great experience over the last 5 years, but it can be soul crushing to your life. Luckily my girlfriend is from Japan and understands working hard (worked in sales and delivery working 125 hour pay periods). But people can only keep up this amount of work if you truly utterly love it. After vesting about 6 months ago I feel like it's time to move on!
Thanks for talking so openly about this! I always suspected *something* was up, but never knew what :p good on you to place your focus on what really matters to you, even if it meant making some sacrifices. And congrats on the doggos!
this is so cool! I follow and watch many fsd youtubers, but your production style makes it extremely enjoyable to watch. this news adds the cherry atop the icing atop the cake! appreciate you!
All the best for your new passion. You’re by far my favorite FSDbeta channel. I was working myself crazy hours at my start in the industry und loved it as much as you did (different industry though). Also my focus shifted towards my relationship, pets, and house and I am grateful for having experienced both. Enjoy every bit of everything you do!
Thank you for sharing! I've watched your videos from time to time and the quality was always top notch. Must say I've never even wondered whether or not you worked at Tesla, it was all about the content. This reveal and seeing+hearing that you're doing well is a really nice bonus. Looking forward to seeing what the channel will grow into. All the best!
I love your channel, been following it for a long time, I also have had no education and learning my self to get jobs. I work as a software developer in a EV charger company in Norway. I got my first Tesla 2 years ago, a Model 3 and then I switched to a Model Y Performance a year after when they started arriving in Norway. It's really been a dream to have, I have had Skoda Superb before that and a ton of Saabs. We also got a dog this weekend. He is a 8 weeks old Shetland Sheepdog, tricolor, sooo sweet. I hope my job will go okay, I have full capability to do it remotely as I want to be there for the puppy as he grows. I thumbs up your choices and for this channel! :)
Nice. Congrats on the doggos and better life balance! Been a fan since Jan 2021 after I became interested in self-driving thanks to the last 4 accidents (including one being totaled) my vehicles have been in being due to other drivers hitting them while parked and IMO you're simply the best FSD creator on YT. Looking forward to whatever related content you put out on the road to Tesla solving it once and for all.
Thank's for all you accomplished at Tesla and I still think that your videos are the best. Looking foward for more of it. Have fun with your new enlarged family.
What a huge surprise !!! Glad that we finally meet the person inside the helmet. Wishing you the best with the future of your CZcams and X channels. Your experience at Tesla will definitely add some spice to your content that people would love to see. Your channel is already great and now it is even better. :)
MY EYYYYYYYYEEEEES AHHHHHHHH! jokes aside, 12hr work shifts are insane and in Germany Where I live this isn’t legal. We are currently in a debate about 4 day working week with 32hr or 28hr, without shorting the income. But I’m glad to see you following your own way! Keep it up and I’m looking forward for some awesome new videos! Grettings from Germany
You look great dude! So exciting to see you presenting in this way. Been following you since you started and it's been wonderful to see you and the channel grow. Keep up the wonderful work :)
Cool! I love hearing about people who find their passions and go for it. Good luck with the dogs and all that life gives you. Also, looking forward to more videos!
❤ enjoy the time with your extended family 🐶🐾. Man, that must have been a killer commute! And still you found time to make all these excellent videos. Chapeau 🎩
The dog is THE single best reason I have heard for focusing more on family! I fully support this! 😊 🐶 Had a feeling you were an employee or a former, but I wasn’t 100% sure. ❤ Mad respect, keep the content coming! 😉
I’m about 1.5 months into my Tesla internship, I started in Palo Alto just recently. It’s cool to hear your story! I have visited the factory twice and it’s truly incredible. I sit at a desk all day though, which I am finding out that I really don’t enjoy. I know there are lots of opportunities to move inside the company though. Great video.
Congrats man. I've been watching you since your very first videos, along with the other OGs. Still the best channel, well you and Chuck, but I'm giving you the edge. I'll admit I was too lame to not pick up on the hints, but I'm glad you landed where you're at and thanks for the awesome content. Look forward to your next drop!
Your beautiful blue eyes will definitely help to bring in viewers! Your channel is truly awesome and I couldn’t be happier for you. I couldn’t imagine commuting from Manteca for any job. It’s no wonder that you couldn’t have a dog or two, let alone a human child or children.
Congrats on Fluke and thank you for your service to a sustainable energy! I am going on my 7th year here at Tesla and I agree with personal growth within Tesla. I started just like you as a production associate and was able to join a 4 year apprenticeship and just graduated this year! What an awesome company to work for and a CEO that truly cares about his companies. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your future endeavors!
Lawl! Nice video! Watching you for years now. You did the right decision. I am sure it felt great spending so much time there but also think even an Elon will one day realize that times will change and you have to step back a little.
Good to see your face, and appreciate the transparency! Frankly I found it impossible that they wouldn't try to hire you because of your videos, but I didn't consider that you had already worked there lol
Wow, I love the sound of your voice & how handsome 😍 you are too 🔥. Thank you for sharing your journey with us , truly inspiring ❤️. I am so happy that working with Tesla gave your skills recognition & allowed you to build upon that . Fantastic results, right ✅️ . Awesome, you bought the car of your dreams , Fantastic. Love that you rescued the adorable puppies, too . Congratulations upon your achievements ✨️ love your channel & content . Hi from Niki here in the UK 🇬🇧 Stay Connected 😊 .
I've worked from home for the last 10 years and fully understand the comment regarding sole crushing commutes. Looking forward to future videos as always and I'm glad you were able to pursue your happiness.
I could see how even a dream job could lose out to getting rid of an awful commute and having a dog. Seriously. Huge improvement in quality of life. Good for you.
You look sooo different to the picture my mind created of you. Hahaha. Love your story man, and love the person you are. You come across as an awesome dude ❤️ Good luck with the future of the channel, I can’t wait to see what’s next!
You finally came out of the helmet 🤭 Nice to finally see your face. I completely understand your sentiment behind the helmet now. Love your videos. Will keep watching as you keep releasing. Good luck with your new life. You deserve it. Your voice is not only a giveaway for people who knows you, but it is very pleasant to listen to (not all are, my own included).
Not surprised at all. Your passion and the quality of your work seems like it would be a good fit at the company. Looking forward to seeing what you do next
This is my first video i have seen with you :D I heard some bits from Dirty teslas videos but came here after your last inverview with him. Kudos for you!
Wow, im actually impressed by the story. Nice sharing, love to see your eyes and voice when talking about great days and decision. When somebody is truly happy about what he is doing you can feel it
Thanks so much for sharing your story, and your 6 years of dedication at Tesla. Wishing you all the best in the adventures ahead, and look forward to meeting you in California one day!
Beautiful! Both story and dog! 😂 Well, you are pretty handsome too man - and great at your "job"! Keep up the good work. I really appreciate every episode I watch. 🏆
Very cool video! I would have never guessed. As some others have mentioned, it would be cool if you could share some stories from your time working at Tesla, the ones that are non-NDA of course. Best regards!
I like your attitude. The world needs more blokes of your kind. And hell yeah you made the best decision about dogs. I have a great dane puppy. For the possibility to live with a dog I changed everything in my life. It was worth it.
Hey man! My wife and I met you in El Salvador (de Cameron resort) this year! Just wanted to say your videos are SOLID and can’t wait to see more! Hope y’all are doing great!
Your 'unreveal' reminded me of the unreveal of the Ozzy Man "Here's me face". Cool to actually see you dude. I didn't know you worked at Tesla, I would love to work there but the distance is a no go for me so respect to you for commuting 4 to 5 hours a day, I try to keep it at max 1,5u per day also partially due to the fact I have 3 kids and that's where my priorities lie. Anyways, as always; keep up the good work!
Cool! I'm always excited when you release a video bc your fsd testing is still the best out there. I have considered appying at Tesla for multiple years now. I'm following Tesla intensively since 2017/18 and practice the type of first principles thinking for a long time already. Even though I have a college degree in maths, IT and physics, I somehow doubt if I have it in me to work at Tesla and also whether I want to work 60h+ a week. I live in Berlin so the next factory woudl be close - maybe I should apply. Looking foreward to more videos of yours!
I also worked at Tesla. I felt I could help more out in the open source world. People talk about Tesla fatigue, but for me it was kind of the opposite. Software is a different culture maybe. Thank you for doing the hard work for all those years :)
This video was extremely well done. Of course, we do not know how much effort went into it from your end, but from my perspective, it was well worth it. It really reminds me of something I’ve tried to internalize most of my life from as far back as I can remember. It is “you get out of life what you put into it.”
So nice to look you in the eye after all this time! I was one of those who guessed why you were hiding your identity. I'm looking forward to see what the future brings.
Wow. What a reveal! I've been watching you for maybe 3 years now. Awesome content. I hope your soul is in peace and your path is clear. Waiting for more great content! =)
I've been watching for a while and never knew you were employed at Tesla, that's honestly so cool to me. I feel ya bro. I smack my self every time I remember that if I had put the $50K i paid for my 2019 Model 3 into TSLA stock instead I would be a millionaire.
I’m not crying!
Someone had to buy the cars so the stock could rise. I thank you for your contribution :)
WOW! I've been a huge fan for a long time, but this is FAR AND AWAY my favorite episode. "Helmets Off" to you for sharing your real self and real story with a bunch of strangers. Thank you, and best of luck to you and your family (2 legged and 4 legged). Cheers!
That commute sounded soul crushing. Mine is 40mins per day and I think that's too long.

The dog reveal I never asked for but always needed😭
Love you man, you got doggos and rescue ones too! The best! You'll be so happy now. Thank you
Positivity is a great way to live, and for me, watching negative CZcams clips is over for me. I'll enjoy seeing your future clips.

Work - Life - Balance ... is more than a glib phrase, and seems more profound the older I get. Whaat? - applies whatever your age!

Awesome life story, with much more to come. Glad to see you, and your dogs, being so happy.
Awesome. And my wife and I (who are definitely both dog people) both said "Awwww" when you showed yours. 🙂

You appear to be a very high-quality human, importantly, with the good general attitude needed to be happy.
So glad to hear you're taking control of your life. I can tell you are "top-shelf" in every way. Peace‼️

Great video! Glad ti hear you had a good experience working at Tesla! It makes sense why your ai driving insights are so spot on! Thanks 🙏

Your beautiful blue eyes will definitely help to bring in viewers! Your channel is truly awesome and I couldn’t be happier for you. I couldn’t imagine commuting from Manteca for any job. It’s no wonder that you couldn’t have a dog or two, let alone a human child or children.
Congratulations. You sure were very lucky to find a job at Tesla and change the trajectory of your life.
Hope your new vocation is as rewarding
Amazing passion for the 4-5hr commuting time!
Congrats on Fluke and thank you for your service to a sustainable energy! I am going on my 7th year here at Tesla and I agree with personal growth within Tesla. What an awesome company to work for and a CEO that truly cares about his companies. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your future endeavors!
Was not ready for that wholesome ending.
Lawl! Nice video! Watching you for years now.
You did the right decision.

Beautiful! Both story and dog! 😂 Well, you are pretty handsome too man - and great at your "job"! Keep up the good work. I really appreciate every episode I watch. 🏆
Just wanted to tell you: this video made my day! // All the best to you with the new chapter!
Thank you, really appreciate that :]
Loved this video! Keep up the great work as always 🙌🏻❤️
Thanks Brandon! Appreciate it
That's awesome, I think I've seen your car driving around the bay area and maybe at a few superchargers. Cute dogs! Keep up the great vids
Very cool video! I would have never guessed. As some others have mentioned, it would be cool if you could share some stories from your time working at Tesla, the ones that are non-NDA of course. Best regards!
Hi Honey & Fluke!! Many congratulations - and best wishes for continued successful simulation runs! Love your channel and perspective. Peace!
Thank you for the kind words Tim!
I like your attitude. The world needs more blokes of your kind. And hell yeah you made the best decision about dogs. I have a great dane puppy. For the possibility to live with a dog I changed everything in my life. It was worth it.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Hope you are both doing great as well :]
Honestly behind this voice I was expecting a well-dressed, nice haircut,45-50 years old, Don Draper-style man.
This will do too though 😆👍🏻
Thanks buddy for your hard work & efforts - fingers crossed to reach 100k followers soon..! 🖖🏻😎
Great stuff! Love the emotional honesty.
All the best to you, and your little family!

Looking foreward to more videos of yours!
you don't really need to put 60+ hours constantly at Giga Berlin, don't be afraid, give it a try, if that's what you are passionate about
EPIC.....Congrats on the pups. Love the channel
So happy with this video, the twists and turns in the story. Watching it twice.
I also worked at Tesla. I felt I could help more out in the open source world. People talk about Tesla fatigue, but for me it was kind of the opposite. Software is a different culture maybe.
Thank you for doing the hard work for all those years :)
Welcome to the next! Lovely dog! so happy for you! 😍
It’s Awesome to meet you, love the channel, keep up the videos! I’ll be watching.
Thanks for the insight. Don't forget that you also have a really nice voice to listen to.
