I'm no fan either but Garrard was very good after defeat to Notts Co in the playoffs last season and clearly gutted but entirely reasonable after relegation yesterday. Been a rough twelve months and not unusual for a play off team to go down the season after.
From a Wrexham fan who had the pleasure of seeing him last season, absolute credit to the football family, never scared to say what he believed, hope he finds a club fitting of his potential.
As a Barnet fan you are and always have Luke been a credit to your club, and you will be missed, I hope it is not long before you are back on the training pitch after a fully deserved break, good luck in what ever you decide or your future may hold for you.
Wealdstone fan here. It's fair to say that our clubs have had a fair few intense battles over the years but after watching this interview, I do feel for Luke. He may of nicked half our squad 🙈 but you can see BWFC meant to world to him. For his time to end like this must of been heartbreaking. Credit to you lot for pushing us to the last day and I have no doubt you'll be back in NL in quick succession.
Luke, you are an absolute gent and BWFC have been so lucky to have you as a manager. All the best in the future mate, take care of yourself and come back strong as I know you will
Luke mate, such a top top fella. Did an amazing job at the club, i hope the people, players, and the chairman appreciate what a great job he has done!❤🙏
Surprised Gereard set up his team so one dimensionally, hoof it upfield as far and as high as possible, and get Bush to hurl insane bombs into the box from anywhere in the Ebbsfleet half. They made no attempt to utilise such a perfect pitch. That tactic will fail dismally in the NLS. That is a tough league with many good football sides.
I think it's a credit to Luke he's kept them going on little money and few fans. But I'm not one of them. Their football has been robust and difficult to like in the various games I've seen. I also hope the club infrastructure is a lot better than it used to be. I hark back to their time in the Isthmian and a play-off final against Kingstonian in 2010. A truly dreadful day and an awful build up. This from the local paper: "With the scores level at 0-0, K’s captain Francis Duku was the victim of a violent attack from a Boreham Wood fan, who jumped over the railings, punched Duku in the face and simply jumped back over unopposed by any stewards". As said, praise to a small club, but I won't mourn them.
Ebbsfleet supporter here who was at the game today. Probably not the best performance from either side as there was so much at stake. Our team and manager especially have turned our season round and I believe we fully deserved to get the point that was needed today. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed getting 'one over' the 4 former Ebbsfleet players in the BW side.. However the season is now over, Ebbsfleet have deservedly retained their position in the NL and BW have been relegated to the NLS. Next season will bring new challenges to both clubs. Clearly Luke was very emotional after the game and I wish him every success in the future. Although it would have been nice for him to give some credit to Ebbsfleet United, like Danny Searle did for BW and Luke in his interview.
Luke is such a great guy and a great personality in football feel really sorry for him
I am not a BW fan but what an honest and committed bloke. Good luck to him.

Thanks for everything Luke we go again next year 🤍🖤

Really sorry to see this, a lot of rival clubs fans think a lot of Luke, including at Notts County. Wish him all the best
Eastbourne Borough fan here, best of luck next season and we look forward to welcoming you to the lane

I'm an Ebbsfleet fan. You an honest bloke, it's not you that let them down, it's your players

You can see how much this meant to him. Good luck in the future Luke.
Thanks Luke for all your work
Chesterfield fan here. Luke’s a top gaffer and BW is a top club, I’m sure the wood will bounce back, all the best in NLS guys. ❤

We have been one dimensional all season, today was no different.
Yep, that pitch has won awards, shame the team play like the old Wimbledon.

Never did like Boreham wood see you soon Stortford
Top man and a top manager, would have liked him at Aldershot …
I thought BW were very good at the Rec last week. Bit of a sad way for him to finish his career there today
Hes just got us relegated mate
@@BenWillows158 one poor season doesn’t make him a bad manager..
Honest comments and a sad way to leave the club. Can't work magic with under performing and under par players.
Agree. Should have invested some of the FA Cup money on the squad. That was down to DH.
still no highlights?
Good guy, sad outcome, but way too defensive as a manager. Need a more attack minded coach. Wish Luke all the best 👍
