UK Weather Forecast: Showery Rain For Parts Of The North And West (Saturday 29th June 2024)

Good morning everyone and welcome to todays UK weather forecast on Saturday 29th June 2024.
Current Situation: Low pressure remains to the north of Scotland with a weather system through the central swathe of the country...
Today:
Saturday starts with showery rain through Wales and northern west England. There's a few showers across north and west Scotland but the rest of the of the country is mostly dry with sunny spells and variable cloud.
Through the rest of the day showery outbreaks of rain will continue through parts of Wales and northern west England as well as the north Midlands.
Much of Scotland and Northern Ireland will stay dry and bright though a few showers are possible in the north and west of Scotland while many central, southern and eastern parts of England will stay dry with good sunny spells.
Temperatures will be near normal in the sunny spells at 18C to 22C but cool under the cloud and rain at just 15C to 17C.
Tonight:
The band of rain pushes southeastwards across England and Wales, fizzling out as it does so. Mostly dry weather will follow from the north and west but more showers are likely around northern and western coasts. Temperatures will be cool in the north at 5C to 10C but warm in the south at 14C to 17C.
Tomorrow:
Cloud and patchy rain clears away from the south east corner with sunny spells and scattered showers following along behind though most places will stay dry and bright. Temperatures will be around average at 15C to 23C.
Outlook:
Monday: Outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards. Cool or very cool.
Tuesday: Showers in the north and west. Cool or very cool temperatures.
Wednesday: Showery rain in the north west, dry elsewhere. Warmer for the south east.
