- The Dominar 400 has experienced synthetic engine oils from Motul, Castrol and Liqui Moly in the past. The Motul 300 V2, Castrol Power1 Racing, Liqui Moly street race all are race derived engine oil. Its seldom we get to see a synthetic engine oil which is specially formulated for long ride. Last year Shell launched Shell advance long ride in the international market and now its available through Shell fuel stations but suprisingly its yet to be seen on ecommerce websites like Flipkart, Amazon or even on Shell India's official website which displays the Shell advance engine oils on sale in the country. Shell advance long ride is specially formulated for long service life where Shell claims engine protection upto 6000km. In this video we test the Shell advance long ride 10W-50 engine oil in the Bajaj Dominar 400. The Shell advance long ride was used in different riding conditions like city, traffic, open highways, slow speed riding. Gear shift experience and fuel efficiency on the Dominar was also tested with Shell advance long ride engine oil.

@@thesportztourer I have used Shell long ride 10w40 i purchased at shell fuel station on my Rtr200...its pretty smooth and feels better than the Tvs true synth Engine oil. The price of this shell oil is on higher end at 860rs.
But in terms of smoothness Motul 7100 was the most smoothest of all.
i like the fact that you know that oil lasts only 3k to 3.5k kms in our conditions. anyone who knows about bikes will never follow the manufacturer intervals for oil change.

I used castrol ultimate 10w50 on my ktm duke 390 2014 well that oil is a bless for me coz it doesn't heat up as fast as it did in motul 7100 and it is not expensive too.I say it's the best for ktm duke 390
Also I am gonna try the liqui moly 10w60 street race
KTM and Bajaj bikes loves only Motul 7100 in city traffic.

I m actually using shell's fully synthetic oil for my RE 350. I had used Gulf's semi synth before. In my opinion gulf was better. The bike felt a lot smoother.. Liked the content though. Somehow always looking forward to more on engine oils and other lubricants from you!

I was always finding a 10w50 grade for my interceptor 650 from Shell, with what your review told me, there are better oils for 50% city 50% highways, please post a video on the best 10w50 grade oil money can buy…
Also please make a review on liquid gun synthetic based engine oil for interceptor, since I had a very bad experience with it.
My personal experience with Shell AX7 has been horrible. It evaporated very easily on my Yamaha Gladiator causing permanent engine damage.

Sir I have two questions for you for my CBR250:-
1. As per Honda they are recommending 10W30 grade oil, and AS are refusing to go ahead with 10W40. Please clarify whether it make any difference if I go ahead with 10W40 ? ( as in market they are no 10W30 fully synthetic Engine oil).
2. Request you to please advise on Honda Throttle Fully synthetics engine oil as compared to Motul, Amsoil, shell, Castrol and Liqui Molly?

10w40 is a thicker oil . If Honda recommends 10w 30 it is because of the engine design . The oil path is much smaller and suitable for 10 w30 grade oil . 10w40 will not flow as well as it is thicker . It will definitely do slow damage to the engine because it will take more time to reach all the places .
10 w40 or similar thicker oil is normally recommended for older engines which burn oil .
If you have no problem continue with the company recommended grade .
I recommend use my Turbofield Nano Treatment after which engine oil will become secondary lubricant.

@@arv1ndgr no still using Honda throttle 10W30 fully synthetic. AMS OIL 10W30 you can try its fully synthetic but comment on genuineness. No other manufacture offers 10W30 fully synthetic in India

Bro please make a video on Heavy Duty Diesel engine oils in motorcycles. Recently I used Servo super 15w40 HDEO in my 100cc Passion Pro. The oil is just wonderful. The smoothness is there even after 2000 km. Even semi-synthetic oils from Motul and Castrol didn't give this much smoothness. And contrary to popular belief, there is absolutely zero clutch slip. I don't know how. You can explain it correctly.
Yes heavy duty diesel oil can work well in motorcycle as the lubrication demands of motorcycle are high and can be met well by heavy duty diesel oils. But all heavy duty diesel oils will not work . You have check the details before using it .
But why do that use my Turbofield Nano Treatment and you will get better result and for longer period .
Turbofield Nano Treatment treats the metal and not oil and it makes oil the secondary lubricant.

Shell engine oils always feel rough and shifting performance is always unsmooth and i do not know why. But yeah the oil performs well internally plus its cheaper than other brands without sacrificing performance. I hope you can review the shell advance power with lab test numbers along with this long ride

I get max 24KMPL with city rides, using Motul 7100 10W-50. Engine performance and gear shifting is very smooth in stop abd go but the average just doesn't seem to come up

Please try & review Savsol and Candice Engine oil by Raj Unocal. They are genuine brands and are listed on API Directory. Both are available on Amazon. On paper they seem to be very good.

Hi, driving in between those trailers gave the creeps! Can u explain does an 2T oil mixed with petrol,lubricates the internal pistons, and crankshafts in a two stroke engine. Doesn't the oil gets burned during combustion.?
Yes all of the things you mention happens with 2 T 2 stroke oil mixed with petrol . Obviously when it is mixed with petrol and dosed in the combustion area it does the lubrication of piston and crankshaft . The reason is in 2 stroke engine crankcase is not closed as in 4 stroke .
Also it burns during combustion because it is a total loss lubrication .You always add 2T oil with petrol .
