There are two ways to do an excellent cover: (1) sound very much like the original recording, or (2) don't sound like the original but create a novel interpretation of the song that is as pleasing or more so than the original version. The second is WAY harder to do well, but you absolutely crushed it. Your version captures the soul of the song, but is more elemental, more acoustic, simpler, more heartfelt. Fabulous.
