  • Welcome back Cole Army! In this video, i take part in my first Tonbridge AC track session. After a tough few weeks it was fun to get back with the boys and grind out some hard reps. I also asked head coach Mark Hookway for some tips with dealing with injury & illness.
    I hope you enjoy!

    I saw that Pegasus NN for £58, not a bad deal at all. I managed to get the peg trail 4 gore-tex for £56.53 from ASOS of all places, very limited sizes on a double discount. The big tubs of SIS Rego Strawberry are cheap on Amz atm, tempting! Anyway great work at the track, 2024 is gonna be a good year... C'mon Coleeeee! 🚀🚀🚀

    Great video! Why do you say 'muscle memory doesn't really exist'? It would be good to hear more about that.

    • @ColeRunning
      @ColeRunning  Před 7 měsíci

      Thank you, good question! In short, we are not octopi and do not have brains in our muscles. What is referred to as ‘muscle memory’ is simple our ability to remember movement patterns, the same part of the brain that is then hindered when drunk and leads you to stumble or walk into things. However, muscles do not ‘remember fitness’ either. So when you take time out and come back quicker than you did originally, that’s not muscle memory, that’s your muscles still having some of the training effects you had before so you start off more adapted than before you did your first ever run. And again, you remember how to run by remembering movement patterns. Guess it’s being picky about the names, but alas, our muscles do not remember things :)

      Cheers man, great to pick your brain on that. I do think it's branded around in so many different sports/hobbies without much understanding so thanks for clearing it up a little! @@ColeRunning
