You didn't mention that sugauli sandi was cancelled after British returned with another document signed by British government, saying all the captured land are returned to India and Nepal. Important to know, please include all the facts.
Important part of history all Nepali should know and Indians dont want to know about since how long Nepal’s royalty have been fighting to save Nepal’s sovereignty from Indian hegemony. From King Mahendra stopping Indian representative in Nepali Parliamentary meetings( Nepal ko mantralaya indian representative bina suru hudaina thyo), removing Indian secretariat from Nepal’s Royal Palace (Nepal ko raj darbar bhitra India ko sachibalaya thyo..why?), stopping already spread Indian currency to promote Nepali currency by starting Nepal Rastra Bank, starting Nepali lessons with ‘Mahendra Mala’ text books to protect Nepali language by stopping already spread Hindi language in Nepal etc to the point his son was killed following his fathers footstep. You can read 1950s treaty between India and Nepal which Modi is ignoring despite of creating a committee as it shows Indias weak link, that they will have to return Greater Nepal’s lands. Same treaty which Nepal is still made to follow having to take Indias permission to buy any military equipments for Nepals own protection. How much India was against Nepals royalty, when Nepal stood for Sikkim’s sovereignty and in the end India annexed Sikkim. When Nepal was made Zone of Peace, India refused to sign while the whole world did? With the Akhand Bharat map in their new parliament, Indian politicians have made points that it is their ‘sankalp’ too. Even though Akhand Bharat itself was just an idea, a dream of their hindu nationalists before partition and was never a geo politically defined nation. India was formed in 1947 while Nepal existed couple of centuries before that. 2015 border blockade from India was not the first time. Read the history how much socio economic impact Nepal suffered after the 1989 blockade too. Everything from past present and their intention for future proves, India cant be trusted. Period.

[Copied from In depth story] I'm from Uttarakhand, I like Nepali culture, people, music, and everything. But no one here in any dream, be it a person of Himachal or Uttarakhand, want to merge with Nepal. People from Indian territories will only bring problems.
For example, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir people will never have the feeling for Bharat and Patriotism. Similarly, most of the population from Uttarakhand, Himachal, or Bihar would never have that feeling of Nationalism for Nepal like you Native Nepali. So even if all these territories end up merging with Nepal, the population will only cause problems. And Nepali culture will also Diminish then.
As a Pahadi I really appreciate that Nepal has preserved its culture. You are so many people who follow Nepali culture but I'm pretty sure Bollywood and North Indian culture is having it's effect on you guys also. Imagine what will happen will all that population.
We are no exception to this process. Uttarkhandi culture and Nepali culture have a lot of similarities, be it in terms of languages, the way we worship our gods, and our festivals. Even you will find some similarities with Himachali culture also. But our culture is diminishing, and languages dying. India is so diverse and the world is way more globalized now. Nepali is included in 8th schedule of the Indian constitution. But our Native languages from both states are not there. In simple terms, our languages are being eaten up by Hindi and English. Culture is mixed up, no person follows the true Uttarkhandi or Himachali culture.
And we are having the same problems as you guys. Youth is moving to other big cities within India or abroad, leaving ghost villages behind. A fair share of your economy is linked to Tourism and ours too. With tourism comes a lot of unsustainable development, which will cause problems later for us Natives.
So the idea of Greater Nepal, Akhand Bharat, Greater China, Greater Russia, and put any other possibility on the list, is the bad and flawed idea at it's core.
Youth from both countries should focus on other things which will actually bring positive changes. We both are developing nations facing the same problems. And politicians from both sides are corrupt and not worthy of their positions, we all know this.

As an Indian I know how India controls Nepal through politics. But I don't think ki situation sudhregi. Nepal is sandwiched between two powers, China and India. India is younger brother and Nepal is elder brother in the history of the world.
By the union of territories it is correct but by the civilization perspective it is not.
The sugauliy treaty which was signed in 18 March,1816 was already made disagreeable so that Nepal can demand its Greater Nepal.
And it was replaced with 1950-Indo Nepal peace and friendship treaty.

POV: Sughali treaty was made under an agreement as in, the land of Greater Nepal used by British India to be used like a lease and British india will pay certain amount of money to Gorkha Empire for the use of its Territory. British ruler requested Nepal to claim its land back since the "agreement" comes to an end after independence of new india and lease becomes void and Nepal will have the right to claim its right back however, the then cruel and illegitimate ruler "ranas" of Nepal didn't make the claim on the land since the people of leased part were more educated and could topple the Rana Regime.
They were wise to not take those lands back.

Nepal’s royalty offering Nepal to India is just baseless nonsense mentioned only from Indian side as "so called history". While you can read in real history about since how long Nepal’s royalty have been fighting to save Nepal’s sovereignty from Indian hegemony. From King Mahendra stopping Indian representative in Nepali Parliamentary meetings( Nepal ko mantralaya indian representative bina suru hudaina thyo), removing Indian secretariat from Nepal’s Royal Palace (Nepal ko raj darbar bhitra India ko sachibalaya thyo..why?), stopping already spread Indian currency to promote Nepali currency by starting Nepal Rastra Bank, starting Nepali lessons with ‘Mahendra Mala’ text books to protect Nepali language by stopping already spread Hindi language in Nepal etc to the point his son was killed following his fathers footstep. You can read 1950s treaty between India and Nepal which Modi is ignoring despite of creating a committee as it shows Indias weak link, that they will have to return Greater Nepal’s lands. Same treaty which Nepal is still made to follow having to take Indias permission to buy any military equipments for Nepals own protection. How much India was against Nepals royalty, when Nepal stood for Sikkim’s sovereignty and in the end India annexed Sikkim. When Nepal was made Zone of Peace, India refused to sign while the whole world did? With the Akhand Bharat map in their new parliament, Indian politicians have made points that it is their ‘sankalp’ too. Even though Akhand Bharat itself was just an idea, a dream of their hindu nationalists before partition and was never a geo politically defined nation. India was formed in 1947 while Nepal existed couple of centuries before that. 2015 border blockade from India was not the first time. Read the history how much socio economic impact Nepal suffered after the 1989 blockade too. Everything from past present and their intention for future proves, India cant be trusted. Period.
