The video goes through all of R1. I start with the gym leader castle, followed by the mini games, then the pokemon stadium mode and ending with the mewtwo battle. After this you unlocked R2 which repeats everything but the CPU pokemon have higher stats.
There are some glitches with the emulation. A couple of moves that affect the ground, like strength, cause the ground to go black until the next move. The pictures of pokemon may not always appear correctly too.

for real, only now are modern pokemon battles in game similar to this! This game was amazing especially for pokemon fans. The graphics, animated battles and moves, it was awesome
It wasn’t ahead of it’s time, effort was actually put into to put out a good game. Through out the years they’ve relied on the franchise name now and they know if they slap a Pokémon name on a game that it’ll sell no matter what.
@@RickyRyans I was a kid when this came out, and it instantly became my favourite game: the 3d animated pokemon models with great graphics, animated moves, bring your own pokemon from the gameboy games, it was revolutionary and had so much to offer, even modern pokemon games don't offer much more besides better graphics !

You have no idea how many memories flooded me by hearing that “pika.”
The best thing about this was that you can bring your own pokemons you adventured with from Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow. You can see your 2D sprite pokemon becoming 3D pokemon full of animations.
I did not know that , I didn’t had any of the portables , but somehow this game got home and I played it. Maybe a rental .

Released in 1998, 2 decades later graphics still holds up and animation is still leagues beyond than the latest core game.
This game came out in 1999, but it’s the sequel to the Japan only Pocket Monster which came out in 1998. It seems like Game Freak still recycles the models and animations from this game, I think even the new Pokémon Snap game reuses some animations.

I didn't have brothers or sisters. But I would play with my cousins whenever I slept over at their house or they slept over at mine. I remember one time my cousin got so angry at me because I kept switching pokemon. For example when he'd send out a water type I'd switch to electric type. Or he'd send out a rock pokemon and I'd switch to a water. He was so pissed and claimed that I "cheated" when I won.

That's what I always do in Pokemon Games. I like a Pokemon, I'll use it. Sometimes I might have two of the same types, but that's fine. You might need SOME strat to beat games, but I do think its really possible to beat the games with just about any Pokemon.

I know what you mean so completely. K had no idea of techniques stats etc. I only used the pokemon I thought were cool. But now I know so much more. I have pokemon stadium 2. Used massive overclock with pokemon silver cheats to get celebi and mew and did so much more. Getting pokemon to level 100 breeding moves and abilities mostly unknown. I have the rare gligar that can use earthquake. When gligar couldn't learn it until gen 3 any other way.
They should make a switch version of Pokemon stadium that would be so cool :)

It’s definitely one of the best, but legend arceus did a pretty good job with their move animations in my opinion. It’s just to bad they haven’t revamped this game with modern technology and graphics with the same vibe and personality this game has. I would get it in a heartbeat.

I just wish people would stop fully harping on the graphics and animations, and saying they need to be like these games in order to be good. They forget there's more going on in the main series games. Stuff like the overworld, hundreds of models, exploration, etc. The only reason the animations were as good as they were was because A): Smaller roster of Pokemon, and B): Only had to focus on Battling. But this is the Pokemon community we're talking about... 😔

I remember getting this game for my birthday. It was the first Pokemon game I ever owned and my first N64 game altogether. Up until that point, I had rented games. I had played Pokemon Snap before Stadium and yet the animations in Stadium STILL blew my mind.
I played the hell out of this game back in the day. Haven’t played a Pokémon game since. Would totally get this for switch!

Playing this during my senior year of high school, I remembered I would LIKE it when my Pokemon got poisoned; it meant they couldn't get paralyzed (which happened A LOT), put to sleep, or frozen. As long as their HP was high enough it wasn't a problem.

2. Everyone knows that pokemon cab learn more moves than moves of it's types, game would be boring with them using only those moves, not saying that trying to guess opponents move would be too easy, and that's one of the most important things in the game

This is satisfying. The music, the announcer and the battle. How is this feeling better to look at than the new ones? dang i would love another pokemon stadium. I think the announcer made the battle more enticing.
