I made the mistake of supporting the original big tail camera when they started out on Kickstarter years ago, it wouldn’t even run as a webcam no matter how much software they sent me. They’ve definitely come a long way and definitely worth getting one of these. I’m going to wait a couple few years until they’ve proved all their products, I’m pretty confident they’re a Chinese factory based kickstarter company that tests all its products on the public instead of investing in RnD. I stay away from any kickstarters now and just wait for products to be fully established and reviewed. It’s doing a great job for you as this is 4 years into their product upgrades. The visual is fantastic and your wireless mic sounds okay. You still need a noise reduction filter turned on your computer. I’ll subscribe because I like your content.
Hi there. Yeah, so far it's been a great little camera, I even took it out to a live-event and used it as a rear-stage-view camera so I could see (our technical direction/area was behind the stage so we couldn't see the person on stage), and I even recorded the event with this camera and it looked great!
Quick question, when you're suggesting a noise reduction filter, are you talking about JUST the part where I'm using my Rode Wireless Go 2 mic? Yes, that part is a bit noisy. I used to used Adobe Premiere and the noise reduction in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition is really good. But I've been using Davinci Resolve lately and the noise-reduction plugin is terrible in Davinci. Sometimes I'll export my audio and do noise reduction in Audition then re-import it to my Davinci project, but,.......sometimes I just don't want to take the time. Secondarily I did recently purchase IZOtope RX and have been using it a bit and getting used to the controls of that noise filter, etc. However, I've really been *trying to pull back on how much I process my audio, and I'm definitely guilty of over-processing, so, trying to take a bit more natural approach at times......but yeah.......I also can't stand audio noise!!!
Let me know, cheers.
@@MarcusHutsell it’s free on OBS, I’ll find the filter and get back to you. I’ve got rid of Adobe suite now with the upgrades to OBS and canva I’ve got a budget but great quality set up. There are 2 outstanding mic setting lessons for OBS on CZcams that I use as a resource all the time and I’ve been broadcasting for decades. The settings mean anyone can broadcast high quality audio for free without a recording room. Those wireless mics need to be set on the lowest gain settings, they come very hot out of the box. I sold my rode wireless go, they were far too hot (noisy) for my liking.
